I don't see why people are saying she is playing the God card. Lacey has true passion for Jesus and a story to tell. She has told it so much, but there are others who need to hear it. This song really speaks to her experience of finding God's love. She is a woman with faith in her heart and her soul seems to overflow with passion for the Savior. I admire her for what she does. She could have come out singing about sex, drugs, and alcohol, but she used it as a medium to convey a message about a man who sacrificed his own life for us, so we may live with him and the Father for all eternity. Saying she is playing the God card, says you don't know Lacey, like a true Flyleaf fan(even though she is no longer with them) does.
I am agnostic. But I love this woman. I truly believe what she is singing is from her heart and although our beliefs are not the same I still respect her and her music.
Iv heard this song i have it not listen to in a bit, i cried lil more this time i guess i need god more than i think. What do you think? I hope there is more coming from her soon
I don't think she is playing the "God Card". There is music on flyleaf's albums that got some gospel content...I knew when I listened to their music that there was a gospel background without even having the facts about them and lacey, then I found out I was right...she loves what she does and im sure there will be a lot more music from her in the future. I love her, don't care what she does, it always comes from her heart. Sure she will do none gospel music again aswell...till then I will enjoy what she does, I love her no matter what...
Lacey why??? the art of music is in questioning your existence.... thati is what real artist do.... just depending on one simple solution ( playing the God Card) is too simple for a gril who covered Trent Reznors " Something I Can never Have"
You don't have to like it or agree with it but wanting someone to have no reason to live just so you can have music you like isn't fair to her. She's happy. If you don't like people who sing about Gog then there are plenty of other great options for you. Lacey just isn't one of them
You have totally missed it Mica, theres nothing simple about God, he created the art of music. This is one of Lacey's best live performances, filled with sophistication, grace, and talent.
Sam Bonura i guess you all miss the point.... " you formed my heart with your own hands" really? I actually like people singing about God... but on a higher level... And yeah God ( i dont like to talk about God because "he" is too complex to mention him ( universal power sounds better to me, cause he is no person so i dont like to give him a personal preposition ) is great, if you study theology and know all the historic evolutions and viewpoints on this aspect...... oh sorry to say Im catholic...and yeah she sings nice but what she sings is lowbrow compared what she was singing about for a couple of years ago.
