You guys are the gods of W101. I had a team of friends and we took almost 6 hours in this dungeon! It doesn't help when we all died about 30 times each fight. Lol
I do it with only 3 wizards and the whole dungeon takes 1 hour and a half. :S You need to think an strategy and stick to it. Our decks are very very short for the first 2 fights. Last one requires more set up and we adjust the deck and strategy according to the school minions we are facing.
***** Yesterday one person disconnected after Shane. Then one of our hitters left before Malistaire. So it was me (Life) and my friend (Death) to beat Malistaire. We won but all I got was a crappy ring and he got his hat again. :/
MultiGamer20211 yeah to people beat mail is tire no way dude that's a lie I got a exalted ice little over seventh thousand health me and a storm almost beat it when our guys left but died with five thousand health left you and some crappy life definitely couldn't have done it
A lot of people in the new wizard era do not know this but there was a glitch that the first Malistare (only happened in test realm) had 100,000 health, level 50s had to fight, funny thing is they brought it back for this dungeon the irony.
it wasn't a glitch, they made multiple bosses much harder than usual just to try it. You also had Sylvia Drake helping you by putting up a massive life damage bubble that causes centaurs to do over 40k usually. (i only specify centaurs because that was the main hit used on him)
That wasn't a glitch, that was legit. That was basically a challenge to see if anyone could beat him :P. They also had many more bosses like that, but they didn't have 100k health.
Wow! What an amazing way to end Darkmoor! I watched the entire thing and it was worth it! Through all the time I have watched Blaze, this was the most amazing thing I have ever seen! It was simply incredible!
coming back to watch this for the nostalgia and comparing the fight to now... man I miss the feeling of excitement when a new boss comes out and is insanely hard to beat. Now, it only takes like 10 blades and a few feints to hit for 1m, so every boss is easy. Miss the difficulty/reward factor man.
I like how through malistaires entire speech at the end, just the fact that the wizards are just doing their happy dance while it’s supposed to be a more sadder scene

So wizard101 was originally meant to be a kids games right? Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this seem a bit more on par with the late teens level. I don't think a large majority of kids (whatever age that may imply to you) can coordinate like this.
yeah this game once i think mooshu/dragonspyre came it was turning into more of a strategy based young adult/ adult level game i believe KI knows this due to how lately the story line is (since azteca it has been clear through the storyline it aint no childsplay anymore)

When I was studying this battle, the dragon removes all charms and wards on the next round that you've casted in that round. If you have any star spells with you, fortify would be best. And your resist will help as well. Having healing spells for this battle will be important. this is a big tip for you to know about this battle.
Wow the cinematics were the best seen in wizard101 so far, they need to remaster some of the older dialogues/cutscenes to keep it equal. I do wish the dungeon looked a bit more huge and immersive as the final dragonspyre dungeon but it was still great
I kinda felt sorry for Nate at the end. Everyone was like "Oh! I got this awesome armor!" and "I got this Darkmoor thing!" and he's just like: "yeah I got this and some reagents."
I wish I hadn't been spoiled, but at least I know the resolution of the Malistaire story. I am dying for this to hit Live - so many wizards to go through this! (I have three at Level 82. That final battle looks to be the hardest battle in the game!)
Man I miss these days. Actual serious story and themes with cool spells. Instead completely goofy tonally inconsistent spells. People actually having roles and building decks for the team. Insteas of everyone just aoe blading as fast as possible. All the spells in their orginal form instead of being changed 15 times like they are now. People getting excited about new gear instead of instantly min maxing everything and trying to one turn everything day one.
I watched the whole thing... STARS+SUNS+MOONS= Darkmoor (parts 1 and 2). The ending was good the strategy was great, but the spells... are just awesome. Liked everything even the dragon turning on malistare. Dworgen's Sarcasim lol. Just Great!
