Frog’s story is as devastating and as sad as can be. Just another rescue cat found wandering around an urban area in southern Greece, dragging his hind leg, with a broken spine and severely malnourished. Who knows how long it would take him to simply give up on life. He was rescued by a SCARS volunteer and was brought to Athens, where he was blood tested, x-rayed and fed - oh he was hungry! Probably hit by a car, Frog was left with a broken spine, a broken hind leg, and a dead hind leg that had to be amputated. Apart from the brutal injuries, probably a result of a hit and run or simple sadism, the x-rays showed something even worse: Frog had also been shot at some point in his life - the embedded bullets in his body don’t lie. After the amputation, Frog remained in our care for a couple of months. On August 29 he traveled with his foster mum to Venice, where he was adopted by a German woman who lives there.

I am owned by 2 cats, sister and brother, for the past 14 years now. Cats have a special place in my heart, and I'm glad this beautiful feline is doing great.
Not very often I am made to cry..but that nearly did...that poor cat...yes its worth the vets.flights..etc etc. To undo the cruelty done to any animal...God bless the woman who went for him..the people who helped him..and the kind lady who adopted him..bless.lo.xx

I have a 16 year old three legged cat. Cats do not give up. Do not give up on Frog. He is truly a Prince. Grace is missing the same hind leg. Grace is my Queen. She owns me and I'm happy.
What touched me the most was that, for us his life may just be a drop in the ocean, but to him its all he has.
I want to work with traumatized and sadistically abused children, but I never really grasped the meaning of it, because they are so so many. I will never be able to help all of them. I rationally knew that every life matters but today I felt it. Even if I can help only one, it will be enough.

@@ArbiterofTruth Most adults or older kids who hurt others were themselves abused and/or abandoned. That does terrible things to the mind. Even the abusive adults deserve Love, Forgiveness and a new chance. I PRAY for all abused life. We're all having Experiences for the sake of THE ONE.
@@ExtremeSurvivor_1 - I had the Mother From Hell growing up. If she wasn't beating me she was berating me verbally/emotionally. All because I was a mistake. She never let me forget that. I never in my life would even consider abusing another person or animal - especially a cat. Ever.

I was heartbroken when I was watching this video just the thought of knowing what poor little frog went through I just hope payback that the person will get will just have no mercy up on them I hate to be like that if you're trying to do right but I just can't stand animal abusers and what this can endure was just beyond words so if you're anything like me you want to see that the person be treated like the person did the animal in the way poor little frog was treated I like to know I could be the one to take the cruelty out on the person that did wrong by this poor little frog I just believe that God can do a better job than any of us could be able to punish them but I'm just so thankful that it was a good outcome of this story but it tore my soul out reading it and seeing that what that poor cat had been door but it will be happy now more than I can say is former situation to where people didn't care enough about it and it's going to be a bad sad day the way people do these animals

Animals are treated as possessions, not as independant living beings. That is why they are treated so poorly. When a human no longer values a thing, that thing is disposed of. Think about it.

Not me. But I was very deeply moved. I have watched several of these videos and am deeply moved by the unconditional love this woman has for these animals. The world needs more people like her.
Fluffkin Yea, these videos touch deep. I really don't know why I watch because it always breaks my heart or gets me angry. Animal abusers deserve to be shot in the hip and left to crawl. My own kitty was a rescue from a Mississippi Delta farm house. Feral swamp cats gave me. My best friend 16 years ago.

When I saw your video of frog I couldn't help but cry. You see I was always raised around cats and dogs, but mostly cats. You can say I'm catman.LOL! The last cat I had was all white except on his head and upper back where it looked like she had had butter drizzled on her, so I named her Buttermilk. I loved that little girl and she knew I would never let anyone or anything hurt her. One day my son told me Butter was lying behind the back fence. I went there and she was trying to get home to daddy, when she died. I had to bury her just before going to work as an RN. All I could do that night was think of her and cry. That was about 15 years ago, and I still miss my Butter, but I cross stitched a picture of her looking at some sparrows, and that helps a little. Frog, you rule your kingdom well and make sure no monsters get your Mom.
Hopefully you can help some little other cat as Butter would want you to. Butter knows shes loved.

After the amputation, he seems to be using his tail to walk. He needs some sort of prosthetic leg to balance him.

Rivery Jerald yes but frog is struggling using that back leg to walk, every time he takes a step his back leg collapses so it would be much better if he had a wheelchair attached to him

i rescued a cat that was left by her owners and took only there two dogs left there cat alone but i adopted her :3 now she is a happy cat

My daughter and I have rescued many cats from the neighbourhood where we live. We have rehomed most of them, but some of them have stayed with us and become part of our family. Some of them were strays, some were deliberately abandoned, and some were horribly abused physically. We don't have a lot of money, and some of their medical bills have been quite steep. People ask us all the time why we "bother", and I feel exactly the same way you do about rescuing. They may just be dirty strays to most people, but when we look at them, we see a valuable and important life. We may not be able to save every cat out there, but we will never walk away from a cat in need that we see. I agree with you...not only are we giving these cats the lives and love that they have always deserved, but I feel that we are, in our small way, making up for the many humans who have let these cats down, who have hurt them, and who have abandoned them. The sad thing is, we know that this "job" will never be done. There will always be another cat who needs our help.

Please never drop stop. I do my best as well but I know I can do more and in the next 3 years I plan on starting some big projects to help our furry friends. There'd be a LOT more hurt animals out there if we didn't have people saving "only a few cats". If everyone thought "its only 1 cat I'd be helping, that won't be helping in the long run" yes it does because if everyone thought like that we'd have thousands of hurt cats that never got any help.

Absolutely TOUCHING to the Core of Our Hearts. Yes, Saving even One Life MATTERS - so thankful the Wonderful Rescue Team in Greece Saved "Frog", now "My Prince". We're so thankful to the caring, compassionate German lady who is now the guardian of My Prince. One Life Matters in an Ocean of Needy Lives. We do not have the funds to save all, the space to house all but we can be kind towards one life placed in our path.

This video with words brought me to tears. And then upset and angry seeing that someone/group had abused, SHOT bullets into him, and left him to die. Prince is such a prince. ...Could Prince's leg have been left without amputation? I know things can't be redone, but since the beginning of the video, with his handicapped let, he was able to keep balance and walk around more easily...
As a lay person, NOT a vet or vet nurse, from what I have seen many times on similiar videos/shows the answer is NO. As to why all I can think is that because if is no longer usable and quite possibly actually dead, not receiving blood circulation, it may eventually rot which will create further health concerns.

my parents did a holiday in Greece . after they came back from there holiday they told me about all the homeless and dead animals in Greece . they even did pictures of dead animals half buried at the beach .. the other half can still be seen .. rotten.
one year later they wanted to go to Greece again and they wanted me to come with them ... I refused this holiday . I can't take this !! I can't see all this homeless , sick and dead animals!
but I donate every month for people who help animals in greece. and I really thank you for helping this little cute cat !

It is all too easy getting lost in the numbers of those that do not get help, numbers that never seem to decrease. When you count the ones that get the help they need, that is one whole number that gets a new chance. One whole little soul that suffers less. A small number added towards an objectively better world.
It is also a little girl meeting her new best friend, or a widowed grandfather spending his sunset days with a worthy companion. It is the weird man on the internet with slightly greying beard that found that the love for a rescue cat can feel as fulfilling as the love for the children he could never have. It's the small creature and the suffering woman finding therapy in each other's company, healing together from their traumatic pasts.
Each and every one that is helped, saved, sheltered and loved, is worth it without a second's doubt. Each one we cannot lend a helping hand, or that we are not even aware of, is a reason to never stop caring.
People like you make the world better. Thank you for all that you do.

+OrphanPet Gr I have 22 cats and 6 dogs of my own, and know what it's takes to get yourself and them through each day. my only hope is that with education and involvement, people will see that these animals have hearts, souls and personalities. Just like all living things, and that it may help stop the ignorance and cruelty.

+Robyn Jones yep. I live on some property which allows plenty of room for all of the kids to run around. Night time is bedlam because they all come inside for the night. Needless to say i have a king sized bed just for me, 5 of the dogs and a couple of cats. The rest of the cats either sleep on one of the many cat beds, or carry on with their nocturnal activities chasing each other all over the house etc. The aftermath is always a joy the next morning lol.

I love cats especially tuxedo kitties. They truly have the sweetist loving dispositions & when they love you, they really love you. I cried seeing Frog in such bad shape. His desire to survive is amazing & I'm truly happy to see someone love him for the deserving kitty he is. May his kingdom last for many, many years to come. God bless those that helped him!!

That was an emotional story well told in a creature full of cruelty and hate who's little body was tried to kill. For someone that only wanted a love companionate care to help. Thank you for giving him a chance of life.

You missed my point. I was despairing of a people, one of whom would actually shoot a cat. And, of course, there are countless cruelties committed by people against other people and against animals.
To take the point literally, I think cats and dogs would survive okay if all the people magically vanished.

Everyone is scared of China. So don't expect any country to tell off China for being cruel to animals. Personally, I think Eastern cultures are essentially cruel and tyrannical. This is why so many Easterners run from their own countries and come to Western countries. Oh, lucky us, when the Chinese and Japanese and so on come to live with us. They will make our country better for us, of course.
Meanwhile, human evolution is merely an assertion, not even a theory. In spite of that picture you might have seen of that trail of apes turning into cavemen and then into modern man, there are no bones ever found to substantiate the idea. There are bones of 'hominids' - chimps, really. Then _suddenly_ there is modern man. _There are no bones in between._ So, there are about ten thousand missing links to the imaginary chain.
Re Adam and Eve, did I mention Adam and Eve? There are other possibilities, you know.
Re cats and dogs leading dangerous lives, without humans to protect them - yes, that is so. But at the same time, think of all those cats and dogs that would not be subject to human cruelty. I think it would be a good deal, overall.
The human race, in its present form, is just crap. God needs to pull the flush.
Sweet beautiful Frog. Crying my eyes out with utter sorrow at his beginnings & also with so much joy for his new life. Wonderful documentation of his journey & so lovingly narrated. Animal rescue takes a village & this particular village is filled with so much compassion & heart. Thank you.

Thank goodness there are kind people in this world who are willing to give their time and love to these animals. I have adopted a former puppy mill dog. He lived in a wire cage for 9 years until her operation was closed down. He had so little attention that he didnt even know his name. He was afraid of the world because everything was new... Everything!!! Dylan has gradually learned that life can be much more than a tiny wire cage. He knew his name within days and decided that the world is mostly okay! He is a pomeranian... born to be a lap dog so he happily accepted
hugs and kisses. Dylan is like velcro... stuck to me, following me wherever I go. And I love him so for filling my days with his joy at being free and part of a family.

after watching a couple of your videos i am here, crying, hugging my own cat (which was safed from the streets as well) - I am so proud to be one of those who can make a once lost soul happy for the rest of their life - but on the other hand I feel so helpless because this will never be enough - there will always be another cat that needs a home and if I could I would safe them all! ;___;
But thank you for sharing all those stories on this channel! I hope you get a lot more awareness and a lot more supporters!

This is the second time I watched this video produced by the incomparable Valia. Valia has a way with words that captures the truth about how the human race should treat all animals and why it is important to go the extra mile to care for those animals that have been harmed by cruel human beings. I live in the city and people dump cats all of the time. I have taken several in. Most were injured, probably by dogs. People seem oblivious at what happens.... Being hit by cars, fighting, disease, constant pregnancies, starving. And they get mad at me for feeding them? I think our world is in desperate need of empathy.
Its tough.. I try to help the one's near our board walk in the winter season since food was scarce that time and some even passed away. But we're sure to keep food and water near our porch year-round otherwise

It is never a bad thing to help any fur baby. They all deserve love and a good home. I would do anything to help save their life. Sadly I lost my baby girl Six about two weeks ago 😭 from kidney disease. I know the vet and I did the very best for her. She is part of me and I will never forget her. She was a queen on earth with me but now a queen in heaven with the Father. Wish you the best princely furry friend 🙏❤️🐾
