Saw an ad for these in the STS Magazine & liked them but wanted to see them in action. I want one now! Great combo of 2 necessary STS fisherman's toolbox. Especially here in the PNW.
Thanks for the video I bought a 1986 Smokercraft 16' sled in March this year. I spent 6 mothns rebuilding the floor and replaced the foam. I've been in boats or owned 9 but this is my first sled so your video helps me.
Not exactly sure how to answer that but I know we run all day on a tank of gas. This video is 3 years old and the newer motors are really awesome. I've asked Jake to do a video about the new motors.
Coming across these videos I had a laugh because a year ago I went to the Clackacraft business in Clackamas Oregon to possible buy one of these boats I wanted to ship to Eastern Europe. When the salesmen learned who I was they said they knew me for my years of guiding then refused to sell me a boat. I have a feeling the refusal to sell me a boat was due to I a sank a Claskacraft drift boat that these boats have a design defect which the boats want to roll over in some kinds of hydraulic boils and river swirls or when a person gets in the back of a Clackacraft drift boat the boats become unstable, so I raised a stink about this and I think it got back to Clackacraft and they didn't like hearing what was my opinion of their boats. I have been a guide since 1976 so I have owned many of the big-name brand NW boats, so I know a good boat from bad boats. Someone may have a difference of an opinion so that is OK for them, this is what I have learned from owning boats and building my own since I was 16 years old. I nearly lost my live because of that Clackacraft drift boat became unstable when I went into a river boil then the boat rolled over . So, I went home and, in a few days, started to build my own power drifter but I combined the Pacific Dory into a river drifter. My boat is 85% done then will be on the rivers in late spring of 2023
Love my flat bottom! Ran it real skinny last month. Keep these videos coming
Lots of opinions on drift boat pros and cons , in my experience the Clacka is the best all around you can by . Thanks for the video
Thanks for being kind on the etiquette. As someone who drifts and rafts a lot, there are very few power boat operators that do that these days

His boat is so nice. You guys should raffle it off and just let me win. Great video!
Nice boat. Hope steelhead show up this year.
