Disappointing in relation to all the cons. Because otherwise the concept of the watch particularly at the $$$ is excellent. With the issues it has you can’t really pull the trigger imo. One of the best watch review videos I've ever viewed. A complete and professionally done review video. As a Pagani fan, I agree that they offer great value, but do feel with a bit more attention to detail, that won't cost a lot more to produce, such as a better clasp closure, smaller case, and finishing, they could blow other watches in the same price range completely out of the water.

What I find most compelling about Pagani Design is their cool case backs, otherwise I’m just not motivated to get one. Especially when they send you a big watch when you wanted something else. Great review!
Well I've ordered one with the blue dial and as I love 39-40mm watches I think this could be ideal. The bracelet issue doesn't bother me either given that I will slap another strap on when I get it. As for other issues for the money this is totally acceptable. I mean I bought a Tudor Black Bay 58 in silver and after 6 months the crown broke! It is now back at the factory.
Oh... So he's a big boy haha. Its kind of sucky that they deceived people like that, I do like it though! If there was one thing I would have changed I would have opted for a brushed finish. That would take it to a whole new level.
I ordered this and now wish I had not - advertised as a 38mm watch, yet over 52mm lug to lug, that is simply poor design and exectuion. Before its even arrived I know it will look too big on me. Lesson learned.

You might have a point there. They put out SO many watches that something is bound to get wrong. That being said, I think it's a fair trade for the price. I mean, Seiko has QC issues too, and definitely some misalignment problems, and just think how much a similarly spec'd Seiko will cost you.... Pagani Design make some nice looking watches, but their quality and alignment issues are TERRIBLE. even watches HALF the price are FAR more accurately put together. This would also look MUCH nicer in a brushed finish as opposed to polished.
On the other hand, mainstream brands do get the alignment wrong from time to time... Ahn ahn Seiko... And I totally agree with you on the brushed case!
It's a very good review on something that you didn't really want Aviv. As has been pointed out, not least because of the size issue, is the believability of the Pagani Design ad. I have a few dress watches with a black dial. This Pagani won't be an addition. Were I to be looking specifically on size, there are many inexpensive Seiko 5s out there, not dissimilar in price or execution. You'll get a 7s26 movement, about 300 metres water resistance and a hardlex crystal. For the Seiko SNX79, if you could find one, Dave at Just The Watch, put an Oyster style bracelet on his a couple of years back. I did the same. It looks excellent to my eyes. I've acquired about three more entry level Seiko 5 dress watches since then. So I ask myself, why a Pagani Design black dial dress watch on which the dial is more of a mess than a cheap Seiko would be? The only result I can see with this is by putting a different dial on it. The rest of it looks excellent, but as a value proposition (as they say), there isn't one, and again as they say, the dial is the deal breaker. Seems a bit harsh really. Good guys get get caught out, self included (don't know about good guy though!).

The Seiko is a great pick! I have both SNXS79J1 and SNXS79K1 (in case something happens to the first), it's one of the very few day-date watches in my collection and absolutely my go-to timepiece even with the likes of a Seiko SPB143J1, Bulova CURV, Zelos Mako V3 Ti-Damascus, Boldr Venture Carbon Black, RZE Resolute Arctic White, etc in the collection. It's both inoffensive and inexpensive, it makes for helluva daily beater that's about as versatile and fitting just about any scenario as say an Explorer or Black Bay 58.

Great video, they sold out of the light blue, and yellow dials with no date, look real nice! Bliger makes a 36mm, and a 39 with no date if you want to check them out, but RW is 3 atm.
I bought the yellow/ orange dial version and I really like it!I agree the clasp is a bit sharp but it’s not too bad. I was expecting something more yellow but it’s definitely a light orange but I still like the color. It has a nice weight to it and fits my 7 1/2 in wrist. I might have to own one of each color!
A bit of a shocker. Looks really good. It makes you wonder where Chinese watches are heading for the future as they upgrade their quality. Their habit of unnecessarily spoiling watches with silly logos etc is holding them back. I fancy the pale blue face for the summer at the seaside....go great with polo shirt, jeans etc.
I don't like pagani design. I have the feeling that the make fake watches from sunday to Wednesday and pagani branded watches the rest of the week, they have no character or soul. For the collector a watch is more then a spec sheet and low price. But. I would suggest it to one of my not watch friends that just want a good watch for low price for every day use! For what it is i dont think it is bad, just not collectible.
I think that the "collectability" of anything is a subjective thing. Some people have 5-15 Pagani Design watches. Is it not a collection? Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, thanks for sharing yours!
A mixed bag for sure....overall I like it, the size is not an issue for me but would be annoyed to receive something that is not as advertised....this would work better with an all brushed case, it would then match the bracelet, however it looked really good on the alternative straps you showed....the case back is really nice, must admit I like that very much a nice change from the norm....as collectors we notice all the imperfections that your average punter wouldn't see....there QC is definitely letting them down and it would be interesting to know how they go about it, is every piece checked or is it random sampling, I'd guess the latter at most....unfortunately Chinese factories sadly aren't known for there QC or wages, put the two together you get a very relaxed attitude towards such things and you get quantity over quality....with all that said, there are some exceptions and there the ones we chase, get excited about and spend hours trawling Ali express and the like for....thank you as always my friend, a very fair, well rounded review....🏴⌚🏴⌚

was gonna get this one until someone pointed out that the hour markers dont line up.. now they offer the same watch with round markers....good vid though my friend
I haven't opened the case back but by the feel of it it does feel like an NH35. The difference between a Miyota 8215 to a Seiko NH35 is very distinct, you can't confuse between them. Plus the NH35 hacks and the 8215 doesn't. I will open the case back and check just to make sure when I'll get home and let you know!
Very honest review, well done! I had my eye on the grey dial one, but that has been sold out for a while. But the qc issues make me now doubt if I have to purchase it.
My point of view is that all brands have some QC issues. The question we should ask ourselves is wether or not they're acceptable for the price or not... A similarly spec'd Seiko will cost you much more than $120 😊
I have purchased a similar piece with Bliger and had them custom build the watch with a no logo no date, brushed top lug case with a fully brushed oyster style bracelet and a functional glide lock clasp with a NH movement for $86USD. It also is a 39.7mm watch case which is unfortunate. Good video mate 🤙🏽
The SNXS family of Seiko 5 are great value for money. At around 100 bucks with 4 of 5 colors available and cool sunburst dials on 3 of them, 36 mm and good lume, its a good oyster homage. I got the wgite/silver dial as a daily because I wanted smth smaller than my 38mm Steeldive and its fantastic. Haven't even changed the original bracelet as its not as bad as people say (no hairs pulled yet).

I stumbled over a slightly used SNXS73 while searching for the 79. I also changed the bracelet accordingly to Dave's tip. I'm still looking for a 79 but I think the 73 is great as well, very nice silver dial and I appreciate that case shape with pointy lugs and tucked away crown.

Yeah, I feel the same way. Gotten it to see if I would aspire one day to get the actual Explorer. But it's a bit too far off the real deal to enjoy it as such. Also, the bracelet and clasp on this one is pretty terrible imho. The watch itself otherwise is pretty nice for what it is and costs though of course. Are you getting the new Cadisen C8197 and compare it perhaps?

The quality control on those hour markers is sad and so is the case size. Another great review Aviv.

Can you confirm it’s definitely an NH-35? I heard they’ve been putting Miyota’s in and not telling people
