Talk about a throwback to the "good old days" the Vee is a classic long range antenna. For control, couple it with the Shapeshifter. For video, couple it with a BiQuad.
Ham radio operators have been using the 'Inverted Vee' since before the middle of the last century. We also learned to use odd multiples of the 1/4 wavelength to give gain on higher frequencies with a longer antenna; a 40m inverted vee is also resonant on 15m.
Hence why the original was introduced nearly a decade ago when there were very few people in FPV. Being a HAM (KJ4RIV) the Vee antenna was the first I ever built and thus, I wrote the tutorial on it in late 2009 for FPV. At that time, nobody was developing antennas for FPV and since it interested me, I picked up the torch and ran with it. I never thought it would become a successful business.
I wouldn't say fearless, but definitely had a lot more freedom and variety back in the early days. LOS pilots would freak out when you so much as showed up with FPV gear, let alone fly distance with it.
that looks / sounds great man :) thanks for all the hard work put into this! Is there a specific reason you didn't mention the R9M system by the way? :)
Thank you for being a true innovator in this hobby. 🙌
Long time no see I've always enjoyed your product overviews and instructions/recommendations! Hope to see all the new product overviews soon!
🥃cheers🍻

2009~2010: back in the days when the hobby was fearless

Love what you do for this hobby, Alex.
reinvented groundplane in 2019 )) nice
Love the inverted vee, thank you Alex :):):)
This is awesome.
Great, I think it's important to mention the antenna orientation.
Ur da best
thank you ✌🏻🚀🚀

DutchRC Adventures - With all of the complaints about the R9M, I didn’t want people to make the assumption that an antenna was the solution.
@@CAGreve1231 Thanks for the confirmation :)
I wanna fly to the moon. Ready to order lol
👽👍
Well put a link so one can go directly to see it on the website!! Please!
Is it better than the T antenna supplied with my R9 slim+ reciever?
Is it comes with the right connector to set up with R9 slim+?
Captainslow - I know nothing about The R9M, so I can’t comment on the connector type. The antenna is the correct frequency for the R9M
To VEE or not to VEE
You are yawesome
