WENDIGOON!? Man I remember finding his conspiracy iceberg when the 3rd video came out and thinking "wow what a whacky little channel". It ain't so little now. Just amazing to see,
Ever since I heard Wendigoon say "Oh hey Mutahar, what're you doing here. I'm gonna watch you later." or something along those lines in his Everywhere at the End of Time video, I've been lowkey waiting for a collab, and now it's happened. God bless this timeline.

I've done prepping for a while and I had to evacuate a couple of times because of fires. I'd say the best preps are have a beg ready to go at all times for evacuation with things like food, clothing, water, prescriptions/first aid, important documents, physical pictures of any loved ones you may need to find and some ready cash. As far as dealing with an emergency that you stay in your home for building up a pantry and storing some water are great ideas and super easy to do. Just but a few extra things that you normally eat that will last a long time when you shop each time. Store a couple of extra cases of water bottles too and you good. Be wary of a lot of youtube preppers they mostly just want to sell gear and often recommend some absurd things.
To add to this advice, your emergency food should be replaced often. You dont want to have it stored for years, you should be eating from and replenishing your emergency foods. All foods are expirable, but a lot of people seem to think canned goods last forever.
Not even 5 minutes in and we're already exploring the Nux-Wendigoon drama iceberg. This shit good. Also, I'm glad the man who brought AlexKansas' Monument Mythos to spotlight is here. That series has always been my favorite analog horror series for a long time.
I'm vegetarian, and try to eat vegan, for ethical and environmental reasons. While I'd personally rather not hunt or buy meat, I was always baffled by people who'd get mad at individual hunters for killing animals. As long as you eat what you kill, make its death as quick as possible, and get your hunting licence, then I think it's better than buying from the store. Hunting yourself gives you more of an appreciation for nature and animal life than buying it on a slab in a store, and it definitely does have a better life than factory farm animals. Also, I love that Wendigoon is just as level-headed, down to earth and kind as I thought he was from his channel. Great episode, guys!
I've always wanted to ask a vegetarian if eating nothing but predatory animals would still be wrong under the ethical form of vegetarianism, being that you'd only hunt other carnivores, I just wanted to ask someone who understands the frame of mind better.
@@jacobdeville1157 Great question. For me, I don't find it matters much in terms of how predatory the animal is, if that makes sense. Personally, the animal's level of pain tolerance and sentience is more important to me. I have eaten fish in the past for example, but my reasoning is that fish and shellfish are less sentient and feel pain less than other animals, lile chickens or pigs (I say vegetarian since 90% of the time, I don't eat animals at all, and explaining what pescetarianism is to people is a hassle to be honest). They also use less resources and cause less environmental damage to harvest and consume, as long as they're responsibly raised and caught (or caught by inidividal fishers). If a bear, for example, is less sentient than a pig, and it would be better for the environment overall due to resources used or an overpopulation of bears or something, then yeah, I'd rather eat the bear if I absolutely had to. Mind you, many vegetarians and vegans would staunchly disagree with me. Many think that eating any animals at all is wrong, since humans shouldn't take a life unless absolutely necessary for survival. As an aside, I also wouldn't mind eating meat if it could be done as cruelty free as possible, and without the water and greenhouse gases wasted to produce the meat like in factory farming. I hope that helps! Any other questions are welcome too.
@@happysappygirl101 that's very interesting, I never really thought about the pain level aspect, I suppose gators would be the best example, being they regularly maim each other and pay no mind, even when their leg is ripped off, also they will snatch you up quick if someone made a regular habit of feeding them, they'll ambush you by a bush and that's a wrap. But even though much like us, animals might be more or less sentient than another, wolves will go on killing sprees much like the boar, they'll eat fawns if they find them and kill because they can. So I don't really know how the sentience argument sits with me. Although I do have one more question, do some vegans know about how many small foxes, racoons, birds, moles, voles, mice, ect. I could keep naming them, just out of personal importance, not as a jab, go into those harvesters soy, corn, wheat ect.? Because it seems redundant to be vegan unless hand preparing all products could even be close to the more moral choice being that animals are killed either way. I just like to hunt one larger game instead of smaller animals in soy products. So I guess other than do some vegans know about the harvestors, how would that knowledge affect the moral version of veganism?
@@jacobdeville1157 Fair point. The point of veganism, from my understanding, is to reduce the suffering of animals as much as possible. It's impossible to live in the world without directly or indirectly hurting a person, animal, plant, or anything else. The vegans who argue that you can live a completely cruelty-free existence are insane, short-sighted hypocrites on some level. But, most vegans, vegetarians and othet like-minded people (who aren't insane) are simply seeking to hurt animals and the planet as little as possible. For myself, I try to just reduce the amount of pain and environmental damage I'm doing, while also not feeling completely miserable (which is why I still occasionay eat fish and dairy). I've also had an eating disorder in the past, so being a strict vegan or vegetarian wouldn't be great for me personally. Since being a strict vegan would be unrealistic, and potentially cause a relapse in an eating disorder that could kill me, I feel like I'm doing my part enough in reducing harm, without harming myself. For example, I know some people don't have the luxury of going without meat, due to financial, social, or other limitations. Reducing the amount of meat consumed, choosing repsonsibly harvested meats or hunting your own animals could be reducing harm as much as possible, in that case. Also, mice, rats, ants, and other animals that destroy food crops and spread disease are causing harm to humans directly, so if eliminating them is absolutely necessary for the health and safety of humans, I would understand having to harm animals in that case. Although, ideally, finding ways to get rid or avoid attracting pests without killing them would be ideal.
@@happysappygirl101 definitely agree with a more caring way of large scale meat products, especially when passing a tyson chicken plant vs a farmers, the choice is clear there. Thanks for answering.
