I return with my greatest ever work - the most lovingly edited and badass montage to pay tribute to a one of a kind masterpiece/game. This montage would really not be possible without it, either. He sadly and suddenly died just over a month ago. As a Dexter and Dishonored fan, both, that news sucked. This video is the culmination of literally thousands of hours (and nearly 3 years) of intense labouring.. each frame about as painstakingly artificed as those of a hand animated Disney movie, when all is said and done. The videos these clips were taken from, already being our finest moments. This video is a skimming of the very best of that already formidable best. A double distillation. You only really get to do this one time. Along those lines.. while working with these clips, it's patently, painfully obvious that almost none of what was achieved in this video is remotely possible with Dishonored 2, or indeed, with any other game. This sad realisation hit me in the first moments after that terrible launch, and it utterly obliterated my motivation/enthusiasm for these kinds of videos. Clockner, Rabbit's Respawn and I didn’t begin working on D2 *at all*, in the first place, which just goes to show. Of all of the nascent, eager skillers that began probing D2 for videos, most of them almost immediately stopped after presumably rapidly coming to the same awareness of non-viability. The momentum of the entire Dishonored-skiller community tragically just completely died overnight, as the hype immediately subsided into disappointment, frustration and anger. I haven't even started on the complete shitshow that is the UA-cam adpocalypse situation which totally fucked (and fucks) us afterwards for the one-two knockout. All the.. “immersive sim” developers out there, even lil' indie ones - please give us more games like these. We are all here, dorky as fuck, with our well maintained behemoth PCs that we spent more on than our cars (and that are deliberately complete overkill and yet so often oxymoronically still not sufficient). Our creative faculties and hunger for experimentation are as strong as ever.. just waiting for a fresh medium to ply our arcane craft. Robust combat fundamentals with strong utility and opportunities for emergence. Gritty and punishing gameplay, with short windows for nice opportunities. All this absolutely necessarily achieved while maintaining the bare minimum of performance that is the modest 60fps, and with *tight, responsive, consistent* PC controls. No mouse sensitivity tied to a yo-yo framerate (look what you get when you punch "mouse performance frame rate" into google: i.imgur.com/X2eSihs.png just my luck to pin my hopes on the selfsame title). No consolitis. No microstutter. Maybe a few more things. That’s all we ask for. Really ain’t much. Dishonored managed it triumphantly nearly 5 whole years ago. Let us do the rest.
Great comment about the work you put into this video, hopefully new games will have better gameplay that discovered 2, btw are you going to play any games that will focus on strategy like fallout or something. Your channel really slowed down and more interesting games are coming out that might be with playing on this channel.
Volound I'm such a fan of dishonoured and the skiller community, and maybe I'm being really stupid but, after personally having put 109 hours into D2 I don't see what's holding back the output, especially since the updates

Absolutely beautiful montage mate. Not just to tribute the first dishonored and the unmeasurable passion we had for it, but also to honor Daniel Licht. The game wouldn't have been the same without his music, surely a huge part what made me love the atmosphere of the first dishonored so much, R.I.P. Daniel. A goddamn shame that such a montage won't ever happen with dishonored 2 due to the game being such a trainwreck, still, even after the game is considered as being fixed from the developer site, from what it seems like at the very least. Even if i leave all the obvious performance and input issues aside, the gameplay itself still doesn't feel anywhere as rewarding, deep or satisfying as the first dishonored did, especially looking at it from a more hardcore-gamer kind of perspective. That almost everyone has stopped working seriously on proper dishonored 2 skillshows by now, like i've predicted months ago, tells pretty much everything. The game doesn't live up to the expectations and/or standards the first dishonored has set. Just like you, shortly after the launch of dishonored 2, which was undoubtedly one of the worst launches i've ever witnessed, i knew that this game won't ever be a thing for both of us and similarly passionate an dedicated people with similar standards. It feels like yesterday when i was sitting in front of my screen with a freshly installed dishonored 2, which i expected to be my GOTY without breaking a sweat and felt like i'm in the wrong movie, even way before i had finished the first level. The game just felt like a hopeless case right from the start, unfortunately. i have to say i agree with everything you said about dishonored and dishonored 2, i love dishonored, but after kicking myself for not buying dis2 pre release, i soon after watching some ppl play it, came to the conclusion i saved money, funny how a lot of games think making you over powered and god like, makes their game better, dis 2 had too many skills and too little sneak needed to achieve objectives, like the thief franchise, dishonored has gone down the path of action over substance, ruining the game for me, the challenge is lost if you can over power any enemy with skills, no need for tactics or sneaking, silent take downs and hiding body's was one of my fav things, more and more im returning to play through older games, rather than buy the new releases, game designers need to realize, we dont want them to make us heros, we want to ern it through game play.

I instantly fell in love with Dishonored when I started playing it, so much so that I got a tattoo of the Mark of the Outsider on the back of my left hand just like Corvo and videos like these make me feel happy that there are actually more people like me who appreciate the beauty of Dishonored
It takes practice and knowledge of the game to preform these feats that the video played. Once you're through with the low chaos ghost streak with clean hands, it feels freeing and worth to go back and practice crazy shit with powers!

Dishonored was the game that changed my life, litterally, it made me start so many adventures, in videogames, but in my life as well. I've never been this in love with a game and a whole universe. The editing is purely incredible, even if I've seen all those clips thousands of times, I've been surprised during this entire video. You are incredible man, just to let you know. And several months without a video won't change anything about that, you still have that special place on UA-cam to me. I'm so sad for Daniel Licht, I didn't even know that one of the artists that created this beautiful song died recently. May Daniel Rest In Piece with such tribute. i watched this a few years ago and i wanted to thank you for making this. this video inspired my to play dishonored and its been a joy playing through the first game+dlcs and the second game, i think i have 300 hours between all of them.

Goosebumps man, Incredible Montage. I clicked on the video expecting a little treat and I got so much more. This dishonored video has easily made it into my all time favorite videos. The smooth editing and magnificent gameplay coupled with the excellent piece by the Lichts makes for a real *dishonored* montage masterpiece.
I knew Dishonored 2 wouldn't be the same as Dishonored 1 when I attempted to duck under an attack for the first time and your character's clunky hitbox was too large. Such a shame, a lovely game had so much potential but was ruined when they obviously rushed it and didn't take into account what made Dishonored 1 great. Going for a realistic approach was the game's ultimate downfall. Well said and well put together video.
I think developers should start communicating with the higher skilled community of their games to make sure they don't flunk on sequels like so many developers seem to do

I keep coming back to this, it's so awesome especially how some of the transitions flow perfectly into the next clip, this trulely is a masterpiece and I shall add it to a playlist so I won't forget about it mainly because all the gameplay is by three people who have spent so much time with such a great game resulting in something that can be seen as a form of art in my opinion, gonna share the video with friends to get their opinions. This is amazing. Truly you all make Corvo deserve a name like the Demon of Dunwall. Seeing the skill to pull off stunts like this is amazing, and quite frankly somewhat terrifying. Almost makes you feel bad for the guards. Almost. however, I do believe 4:40 is one of the best moments with that double headshot, however the clip of them shooting the grenade mid-air to basically turn it into Dunwall's first RPG was a close second.

It's very sad that the people who are sort of the reason Dishonored 2 was made (by keeping the first Game popular for so long) are also the ones who enjoyed it the least (if there was anything enjoyable about the game at all).
I agree, D2's pretty great, despite some flaws I enjoyed the story, and I loved being a badass using the powers and the fantastic executions and the brutalness you can do. I hope to get D2 on pc as soon as I can get the funds to get it on pc after upgrading it. I recently played D1 again from ps4 to Pc and it feels tremendously better overall.
This was so nostalgic it hurts cuz I know if I go to play the game again it wont be the same because I already know the plot and how to play the game. My first time playing dishonored was special and magical, the game itself was beautiful and I will always love it.

Aside from Dishonored 2's horrible performance, what are some of the problems that pull you from the game? I personally loved the game and it's kind of confusing to me when a lot of people say it feels nothing like Dishonored 1. Not that I can't understand where they're coming from, but I feel as if it's a little disrespectful to Arkane when people call them garbage for Dishonored 2's launch. Not that I'm assuming you feel the same way or anything. But a lot of people seem to hate them even though they seem to make the only games that aren't full of micro transactions. But I digress. Great montage and well written. I have 24 hours of playing time in Dishonored 2 after preorder and uninstalled it after that. Probably will never install it again, so sad.
The perfomance issues are just too much...even in the new videos from StealthGamerBR it's still visible. I don't like the story aswell, it's too predictable kinda boring. Two different stories for Emily and Corvo would've been great. Also compared to Dishonored 1 the game itself felt slower and worse in general. After I finished the story I tried again after a few patches but it didn't really improve much.

But i can see where you are coming from. You seem to enjoy the videos with endless, boring, painfully obvious spellcasting combinations, the only thing that works in dishonored 2 because everything that is combat related in this game is nothing but garbage. i have to say i agree with everything you said about dishonored and dishonored 2, i love dishonored, but after kicking myself for not buying dis2 pre release, i soon after watching some ppl play it, came to the conclusion i saved money, funny how a lot of games think making you over powered and god like, makes their game better, dis 2 had too many skills and too little sneak needed to achieve objectives, like the thief franchise, dishonored has gone down the path of action over substance, ruining the game for me, the challenge is lost if you can over power any enemy with skills, no need for tactics or sneaking, silent take downs and hiding body's was one of my fav things, more and more im returning to play through older games, rather than buy the new releases, game designers need to realize, we dont want them to make us heros, we want to ern it through game play.

That was simply a masterpiece. Thanks Volound for this edit, and thanks to the three of you for making such videos. Dishonored was the game that changed my life, litterally, it made me start so many adventures, in videogames, but in my life as well. I've never been this in love with a game and a whole universe. The editing is purely incredible, even if I've seen all those clips thousands of times, I've been surprised during this entire video. You are incredible man, just to let you know. And several months without a video won't change anything about that, you still have that special place on UA-cam to me.
I'm so sad for Daniel Licht, I didn't even know that one of the artists that created this beautiful song died recently. May Daniel Rest In Piece with such tribute.

Goosebumps man, Incredible Montage. I clicked on the video expecting a little treat and I got so much more. This dishonored video has easily made it into my all time favorite videos. The smooth editing and magnificent gameplay coupled with the excellent piece by the Lichts makes for a real *dishonored* montage masterpiece.
I knew Dishonored 2 wouldn't be the same as Dishonored 1 when I attempted to duck under an attack for the first time and your character's clunky hitbox was too large. Such a shame, a lovely game had so much potential but was ruined when they obviously rushed it and didn't take into account what made Dishonored 1 great. Going for a realistic approach was the game's ultimate downfall. Well said and well put together video.
I think developers should start communicating with the higher skilled community of their games to make sure they don't flunk on sequels like so many developers seem to do

I keep coming back to this, it's so awesome especially how some of the transitions flow perfectly into the next clip, this trulely is a masterpiece and I shall add it to a playlist so I won't forget about it mainly because all the gameplay is by three people who have spent so much time with such a great game resulting in something that can be seen as a form of art in my opinion, gonna share the video with friends to get their opinions.

This is amazing. Truly you all make Corvo deserve a name like the Demon of Dunwall. Seeing the skill to pull off stunts like this is amazing, and quite frankly somewhat terrifying. Almost makes you feel bad for the guards. Almost. however, I do believe 4:40 is one of the best moments with that double headshot, however the clip of them shooting the grenade mid-air to basically turn it into Dunwall's first RPG was a close second.

It's very sad that the people who are sort of the reason Dishonored 2 was made (by keeping the first Game popular for so long) are also the ones who enjoyed it the least (if there was anything enjoyable about the game at all).

I agree, D2's pretty great, despite some flaws I enjoyed the story, and I loved being a badass using the powers and the fantastic executions and the brutalness you can do. I hope to get D2 on pc as soon as I can get the funds to get it on pc after upgrading it. I recently played D1 again from ps4 to Pc and it feels tremendously better overall.

I personally loved the game and it's kind of confusing to me when a lot of people say it feels nothing like Dishonored 1. Not that I can't understand where they're coming from, but I feel as if it's a little disrespectful to Arkane when people call them garbage for Dishonored 2's launch. Not that I'm assuming you feel the same way or anything. But a lot of people seem to hate them even though they seem to make the only games that aren't full of micro transactions. But I digress. TL/DR; What do you really hate about Dishonored 2?

Great montage and well written. I have 24 hours of playing time in Dishonored 2 after preorder and uninstalled it after that. Probably will never install it again, so sad.
The perfomance issues are just too much...even in the new videos from StealthGamerBR it's still visible. I don't like the story aswell, it's too predictable kinda boring. Two different stories for Emily and Corvo would've been great. Also compared to Dishonored 1 the game itself felt slower and worse in general. After I finished the story I tried again after a few patches but it didn't really improve much.
Corvo is the best swordsman in the Empire. Who knew assassinations would mix into his expertise?

Nothing of what you can do in D2 is crazier then what you were able to do in the first dishonored. As Volound said in his post, which you maybe didn't read properly, most of the stuff out of this video isn't even remotely possible in dishonored 2. Every mechanic in d2 that was aviable in d1 already is far behind how it was in d1. The ( still ) completely retarded looking Blood Thirsties just to name one example out of literally hundreds. But i can see where you are coming from. You seem to enjoy the videos with endless, boring, painfully obvious spellcasting combinations, the only thing that works in dishonored 2 because everything that is combat related in this game is nothing but garbage. Glad for you that you can enjoy it, i think it gets boring very quickly and every video becomes more or less the same. Nothing compared to the novelty we had going on in dishonored 1, not even close.
