There is no way Gojo is coming back because Gege lately has NOT been a good writer and Gojo's comeback makes too much sense and is too good of a move for a current Gege to do. It has to be an illusion, the effect of Yuji's domain, a flashback, or somebody else but NOT Gojo.
also the sheer amount of effort Gege has put into humiliating him on multiple occasions especially in ch236

That would be actually OP domain. Imagine that you can just casually summon Gojo in your domain that will fight for you, and that Gojo has all abilities he had.
It's insta win for you against everyone, including Sukuna as he would be forced to fight not only Gojo but also Yuji in that domain, and that would be too much for him to handle without help.

There's different meanins to "ghost" and also Im sure that Naobito heard about Toji being killed by Gojo when he was only 16 y.o.

Maybe Gojo gets behind him and uses domain expansion on Sukuna, basically equal to Toji stabbing Gojo in the back. 😮

The Japanese term used for "ghost" in 260 is apparently the same term used for Sukuna calling kashimo "revenant" in chapter 237. Though, I am no translator, so I don't know for sure.
Even then, we've had one or two characters calling other characters ghosts. Naobito called toji a ghost too.

@@jonarhax3388 Nope he gave one eye as a vow this is really Gojo with just one right eye, theoretically the only ability that can do that is Ogami, however Yuta wasn't in Shibuya and he was on the battlefield when Gojo body got teleported back, you guys are also sleeping on Hana i don't think that all she can do is just a Jacob ladder her companion is clearly something ancient on the same tier as Sukuna but more of a debuff buff type of character just like Ui Ui, she could have played a role in it.

This convinced me that Todou has what it takes to reach Gojos predictions of him surpassing the old gen. Everyone who has faced Todou has said hes extremely difficult to fight against and now even Sukuna admits that Todous CT is essentially impossible to predict or fight against fairly.
And called him the most egocentric.
Meaning he has to fight on todo's rythm, and cannot force his onto it.
If todo decide to just go b*llsh*t quick on the fight tempo, he has no choice but to adapt to it.
On top of that, todo and sukuna fights similarly. The fight to them is like solving a puzzle
On an unrelated note: Gege really is getting into rarified air with what he’s doing right now. JJK exploded in the last two years and by the time these current chapters get animated it’s going to be magnitudes more popular. Salute to you brother you created an incredibly entertaining story.

I’m calling it. That’s just a vision Sukuna is seeing because he’s near death. It’s pretty consistent that when somebody is about to die in JJK, they see someone who was important to them. Gojo is an exception of “people are fleeting taste.” The first man to make him experience fear and actually makes an impact that will last his whole life, somebody important enough to show up in his final moments. So as much as I love Gojo, it is most likely that Sukuna is just seeing him after coming close to death. More of a metaphor for how his students became the “strongest” and even upon dying, Gojo still won.
I mentioned something like that myself. Particularly given, as the enlightened one, Gojo doesn't need to be alive to haunt Sukuna. Since this final battle has begun not a single one of his students has died, in effect while Sukuna won the initial statement, Gojo is winning through is successors that he has hoped would take over for him.
In short, Gojo represents that argument of selflessness that won't die, even when his own mouth was sealed by Sakuna.
Though, UFO Gojo sounds hilarious.

Since Gojo is genius with domain expansions, maybe he offset the “time” coordinate (instead of the space coordinates) of a domain expansion so that it happened in the future. Maybe this has something to do with Gege not showing us him dying; perhaps he did something before/as he got hit and we’ll finally get to see what happened as it’s explained.
Seems super powerful but with enough binding vows, who knows. And Yuji just sunk his claws into Sukuna so maybe that was a condition/restriction Gojo set. I think Yuji doing that is significant. Could also just be for his own domain expansion.
I really think it's him because on 15 may, it was Buddha's birthday, and Ch260 was released on may 16, so I hope that he has returned.
And especially Gojo is known as the honored one and the 4 flashbacks and 3 mentions of him really makes me feel like its him and not a ghost, cause the flashbacks and 3 mentions were like the 7 steps to his rebirth or enlightment.

Imo, sukuna made a binding vow to use gojos hand sign once, which he used previously. In a state of panic, suk used it again and broke his binding vow. The most nervous we've ever seen suk is when he thought he MAY be breaking a binding vow in the enchan scene. I bet he broke it, and his punishment is being cursed by the original user
The only repercussion for breaking a binding vow with yourself is losing what you gained.

2. Yuta is distantly related to gojo by the ancient sorcerer michizane sugawara.
3. Yuta has an endless pool of CE

Hey man, been loving your content, and I finally have a "theory" that I think is worth brining to your attention lol. I've been thinking a lot about Nobara and a possible reason as to why or if she would return. And I think 260 confirmed my idea. I have been under the assumption that the school tricked Yuji into thinking Nobara was dead so that Sukuna would believe it as well. ESPESIALLY, now that there is the reveal that they have been keeping aspects of their plan from Yuji due to the fear of Resonance, I think that makes it even more so. When Gege made the point that Nobara was also a natural enemy, to then just "kill" her and leave her death so ambiguous, imo is a chekovs gun. And knowing that she is the only one other than Yuji that can target the soul, she would be instrumental in taking down Sukuna at some point. So I believe that now that we know the school has been hiding an aspect of the plan to take down Sukuna from Yuji may confirm that Nobara has been secretly training in order to get stronger, so that they can use her eventually to take down Sukuna. Because she can target Sukuna through Yuji even because of their Resonance.
Plus, on a side note, IMO, if Nobara was actually dead, I feel very strongly that her character would have kinda served no real purpose cause at this point, if she's actually dead, she could have never been in the story and nothing would have changed. and I don't think Gege would create a character that's part of the core trio, and make them simply fodder for the Protagonist's development without there being some pay off for the character before that.
But, given that her death has been shrouded in intentional ambiguousness and the hints about her ability to target the soul, resonance, and all that, and the fact that there are aspects of the plan being hidden from Yuji, like Todo even being involved, I think it's safe to say that she's coming back at some point. IMO of course.

Honestly, I had the crackpot theory that this was Ino's Domain, the idea being he uses Obscuring Elements such as smoke or other things as a portal to the afterlife, like he does with his Mask, it also fits writing wise why Gojo can even Appear, it's been like, Two Months since he died last I checked, so doing it like this means he can not only help those he cared for, but keep the impact of his death, he's still dead, and probably can't do much, but maybe, just maybe, can give the push that everyone in the fight has desperately needed

well, he was foreshadowed to be the the second coming of gojo, I actually believe thats yuta from a near death experience with cursed corpse shit and considering the previous six eyes user died, there might be some binding vows in play. I believe yuta did not copy six eyes, he inherited it. It makes perfect sense for gege to wrap it up that way. Considering yuta coming out as a distant relative of gojo at the end of jjk0 did not help the narrative yet. It was just used as a way to explain his strength, but it was not needed after all that happened whatsoever. no one was going to question why yuta was that powerful anyways.

bet it's yujis domain expansion, literally jujutsu kaisen/malevolent shrine, witch invokes yuujis friends, because he's never alone, because HE WILL NOT DIE ALONE, as the curse his grandfather unknowindgly placed on him, this would match pretty well with jump kaisen narrative, and make yuuji actually the most broken sorcerer out there, LITERALLY a friend necromancer, even if nerfed or time constrained friends with their cursed techniches, he has enough of a charm and strong enough friends to always no matter the situation to make it always a 1vX, and the fact that we don't see a barrier would mean that is not a place to gather and see ONE, is ONE place to gather everyone

he was killed by CE, cannot become a spirit. Naoya became a spirit because he was like stabbed to death by Maki's mom.

Imo, Sukuna is forcibly having his heart beat by using Cursed Energy. I think because Yuji kept shaking up Sukunas cursed energy control with Black Flash attacks/kicks/punches/etc, the constant loss of control is causing his heart to beat irregularly… Sukuna is getting thrown off. This minor detail could’ve caught up to him in that moment - and the “Ghost” is actually a literal ghost of Gojo (in this case) due to him being near death. With Yuji combined with Todos Boogie Woogie, Sukuna is being shaken up & attacked quite a bit, which only disrupts his control a lot further. With a fight this fast paced and intense, a moment of shock/loss of focus can easily cause error, and throwing off Sukuna the way they did probably made him lose control for a brief moment (which is all it takes to die when your heart stops). The way they surprised him, the two of them gave Sukuna a (LITERAL) heart attack! Except IMAGINE being shocked/startled while you’re actively using cursed energy to keep yourself ALIVE. I believe that Gojo isn’t actually alive, but rather that is his actual (literal) ghost.

What if Yuji’s domain summons copies of his friends/allies to jump the target with him. This obviously implies that the “Gojo” we saw is fake, which is a theory I’m not exactly a fan of. Edit: I commented this before finishing the video😂
The issue with this is that Gojo looks like he only has 1 eye, but he died with both of his eyes. So why would Yuji's domain have him lose an eye

It’s Nobara, with one of the six eyes transplanted into her through a binding vow. Todo showed us that soul damage can be healed, and techniques can be expanded through augmentations, also these last couple of chapters mentioned resonance which is Nobara’s thing.

The cause for people assuming Gojo is gone for good is probably TCB's translation, saying "The Departed Spirit of 'The Strongest'". Ghost is a rather ambiguous term, but "Departed Spirit" isn't nearly as vague.
Gojo probably sacrificed one of his eyes in a binding vow probably.

There is no world where I see Gojo returning. It just doesn't make any narrative sense for him to come back at this moment. This is and always was Yuji's fight. Gojo was fucked from the start, he was the mentor and as much as people like to glaze Gaygay's writing it was never that inovative or great. He has simple tropes and those tropes work. Megumi is still a trope to this day, Yuji is a trope, Gojo was a trope and Sukuna is a trope. It's all simple storytelling at the heart of it all.
Almost impossible to write a good story without tropes now but I think the dynamics between Yuji and Sukuna are pretty unique. Yuji being the one person that can easily draw out strong emotions from Sukuna makes it feel impactful too. It's the subtle things man.

What seems strange to me is the time it took for sukuna being able to open his domain again on the yuta fight. It was a very long time. It was very little time between the 99s domain and this one.
I have a few connected questions inspired by the latest question in the animanga-polls channel in the Discord.
1. Are Sukuna's fingers (cursed objects) his actual fingers from the Heian era, or are they just a nice visual way to divide his power into 20 parts - one for each finger?
2. Are those cursed objects counted as "part of his body?"
3. Could Nobara use Resonance on one of his fingers and damage Sukuna through it?
If so, and the final finger wasnt fully consumed by Rika (assuming she consumed any), given that she can damage the soul, it'd be poetic if she helped Yuji wake Megumi in a future chapter

Im glad you touched on gojo's body being repaired while hes dead and having ui ui teleport someones soul into the body to utilize the six eyes. Yuta would be the best candidate for that. Since he and gojo were presumably "dead"

I think some good character is inside gojos body after it was stitched together all Frankenstein's monster. That one guy has that ability where you don't get worse, they then stitch his corpse back together and give his body to someone else.

What If Gojo’s revival is related principal Yaga’s corpse manipulation technique? Since his death the secret behind his technique has been disclosed and there’s been no further development being shown in the story. Just my tin foil hat theory but maybe they’re somehow able to awaken Gojo’s body using that corpse manipulation technique and insert a soul in it. Whether that soul is Gojo’s or someone else’s I dunno
What if this is Yuji's domain expansion, and his domain is the power of friendship, where he can bring the souls of his friends in and have them fight together, classic JumpKaisen, but in a domain.

With the amount of hints/signs, the lotuses, the actual refrence to the honoured one by literally having gojo say it, one plane still being at the hangar while all the others have left no one and no plane besides the only one, the constant flashbacks, the cover art with him glowing, the cover page with him smiling and lotuses surrounding him, cmon man aint no way gege does the fanbase like that.
I think gege didnt like gojo but just said he absolutely hated him to kinda throw off ppl when he killed him. So, when or if he returns it would bang even more. But ofc this just could be a rando dude/aparition bs. Or it just could be that the narrator describes Gojo via sukunas perspective in which ofc he would consider gojo to be ghost as he thinks he killed him. So, the objective reality in jjk could be diff i.e. it actually could be gojo.
