Really enjoyed your WIP parade video and this update video also. So happy to hear your excitement about Lilly!!! Boy, do l remember! I am turning 71 on Saturday. Seems like just yesterday❤
First time for me to see your video. You have a lot of nice finishes and WIPS. Love that quilt! I do a lot of quilting. Just getting back to cross stitch after 30 year reprieve. Congrats on your new baby! Love the number 4 chart. Enjoy stitching, Shirley
Stitching Christmas ornaments for grandkids next year's gift. 1 2 3 4. The quilt has blue so you can use the blue but if you want the pink it would be cute as well. Congratulations on baby girl coming and 2000 subscribers. 🎉
I love seeing you again and what you've been working on. Congrats on Lily! I loved the bless our home piece. It was so pretty. I'll be looking for your next flosstube. 2, 4
Congratulations, children are such a blessing. 1,2,3,4 I'm stitching on SWTH February Truckin' Along as I watch your video. Love all the patriotic stitching.
Howdy from Michigan! I wonder if you could machine stitch a piece of cotton fabric or cross stitch fabric to the area(s) that might be too short? It will all be within the frame and out of sight. I was also wondering if you stitched the "You are my Sunshine" on a pink fabric? Do a floss toss on the pink to make sure you will see the white will pop. Cubbies, you have cubbies! I also have some, quite a few, in my craft room. I just recently bought some of the "Brightroom" see thru plastic containers (from Target) so I can see and remember what I have. Other items can stay out of sight. No one needs to know how much i have. LOL I am really liking Robin Pickens. I can't wait to meet her at a retreat I am going to in September. I have some of her fabric line, so I hope to make some project bags and maybe totes before then. The Nora Corbett pattern will be gorgeous in your daughters bedroom. At the moment I am working on the "Temperature Tree" by Stitchin Mommy. I so want to get the main tree done.
Another wonderful video, Shannon! I love your motivation and enthusiasm to get lots done before little Lily arrives. In answer to your dilemma about the piece that may only have an inch of fabric at the bottom - keep stitching! I am a professional framer, and have sewn a piece of muslin to many pieces, to allow for ease in finishing. I just finished Silver Creek Samplers "Give Greatly" and am now working on "Mitten Friends" by Imaginating. But bright, cheerful spring pieces are next on my list! Hope your pregnancy continues to go so well. 😊 #1 & 3
I came across your video. It kept my attention all the way through. Your personality i just love. You do a great job keeping peoples' attention. You do very nice work. Your finished pieces are beautiful. I look forward to watching your next video. Congratulations on your baby girl. 1 3 4
Hi Shannon. This is Linnie from the SABLE Stitchers. I watched your flosstube for the first time and loved your content and projects. Good luck with that baby girl cooking. So happy for you. Take care and happy stitching. 💕
Shannon- I just love everything you stitch! Thank you for taking the time to share with us!!! I’m currently stitching baby it’s cold outside… so appropriate for what the weather has been so far this year here in Kentucky. I think it was -2 last night. Denise 1, 2, 3, 4
Loved all your projects! Congratulations on your little one who will be here soon. Looking forward to your next video. 1 and 4. I am stitching on Lady of the Flag and Super Mario Family for my grandson.
Oh my goodness I was just sewing away on some more projects bags while watching and I heard my name. Thank you for such a nice shout out! I'm so glad you like your bag!! And you explained my name perfectly. :) I love the bee theme idea for your nursery. I just finished a primrose cottage bee pattern. I'm obsessed with them! I love your new robin pattern you bought So cute! That sunflower give away pattern is pretty too! I wish I had more time in my day! I'd add so many of yours to my list!
Congratulations on baby #2! I think the sunflower stitch would look beautiful in her pink room. The quilt is pink and blue, so it would tie it all together. I am currently stitching Welcome to the North Pole by Primrose Cottage and I’m on my 4th Calendar Crate by SWTH. 1,3
I'm so happy I have found your channel. I also do not use any apps to track stitching and I think it would drive me crazy! I feel that I spend most of my work day on a computer, so I want to do my stitching as low tech as possible. Thank you for sharing your pregnancy journey and I wish you the very best--as a nurse, I know how hard it can be to manage Type I diabetes. Lily is a beautiful name!
Type 1 diabetic and my name is Shannon! I had a 9 2oz a 8 6oz (my girl) and 8 15oz. I made big babies too! That’s amazing that you get 6 months off. I got 6 weeks (unpaid). Glad to hear of more time off for families with new babies. Your needle is on fire! Love the stitching! 1 2
I stitched the Robin Pickens charts, they are fun to stitch and beautiful ro look at. I purchased a cubby calendar from Paisley & Polka dots ( had to stitch on a 32 or 36 count fabric to fit the finishing piece). Your quilt top is perfect. I'm currently working on Primrose Cottage Valentine's charts. 3
I just love your finishes ❤ 😂 I agree 💯%. I don’t want to know how many stitches. That’s a beautiful blue for your mystery SAL 🤩 I just finished Erin Elizabeth’s Believe and started Rosewood Manor’s Friends Are Like Flowers 💐
Love your finishes!!!! ❤ Congratulations on your little girl 💗, Lily…. Such a pretty name! I am actually working on one your WIP’s… Santa’s Midnight Ride. The first video I watched of yours, you showed yours- inspired me to pick it back up!!!! Take care!!! 1 2 3 4
Same here - no counting! I also feel like it’s daunting! About your “American Welcome” sampler the phrase on the bottom doesn’t look too big. I think you can probably stitch and be fine… No tips for Mirabilias, they also look daunting… maybe in a couple of years! These days I am stitching two projects: “Yuletide Delivery” from Plum Street Samplers and “Winter Time” from Crocette a gogò”. Also, glad to hear your baby girl is doing well ❤. 2, 3, 4.
Love the video as always! From video one, I wondered what type of clims you work. I work auto claims - it's not for everyone! I need the buzz off pattern, too 😅 I stitch a lot of mira/nora's - currently working on Blackbeard's Princess, Ophelia, and Camille in Bloom. You're going to LOVE them! They are the perfect mix of block stitching and color changes. 2, 4
Hello from Indiana. I'm working on Valentines projects. I'm usually a seasonal stitcher with a sampler on the side. I love the blue fabric you choose for Christmas Rules. Your sunflower stitch for your daughters room would be cute on mint green. I put pink & green together often. Glad your feeling better. Morning sickness is awful. Take care. 1, 2.
So enjoy your videos. I was a framer in a needlework shop while we like extra fabric for ease of mounting things happen where you don’t have the extra. As long as you can get it folded a bit over the edge of foam core it can be pinned with stainless steel pins to hold it. The rule is 3” each side if framing, 4” each side if you want to use mats. Hope this helps.
I am stitching on a pile of WIPs! In my lap as I am watching you is the quilted snowman by Emily Call. I will put some stitches in the Teresa Kogut fundraiser piece for her friend’s grandson too 1,2,3
Prayers for your baby, Lily ! My youngest son, Lewis, was born in May. I had a miscarriage many years ago and her name is Lillian Rose. So when you said her name I was inspired to add you to my prayer list. My daughter, Angelique, 💗 ( my only girl of 6 children) just had her 5th girl on January 2nd. Her name is Lotus Dream River. 🪷 Isn't that pretty! She was 9.6 lbs and 21.3/4 in.! Wow! We are blessed. Thank you for your fun video. I'm stitching on Baby's Dream Boat from 1996 issue of For The Love of Cross Stitch magazine. It's a swan 🦢 sailboat ⛵ with a girl baby bear 🐻 in it ! 💖 I have many other projects going too of course. 1, 2, 3, 4, 🌻 🎉 Happy 2025 Shannon! 🎊
Tips for stitching a nora. Don't use the invisible thread. It is awful! Use nymo beading thread. You can get it at michaels in the bead section and it comes on spools. It's really nice to work with. Regarding skin, I personally don't think one over one skin is worth the extra time. If you do want to do 1 over one skin, cross stitch with luda has a video on it. Also, if it calls for kreinik, I recommend using a thread conditioner or converting to petite treasure braid. Good luck! It's a beautiful pattern and I'm sure your daughter will love it!
So enjoy your videos. I like that you stitch on counts that I do. I’m not into 40 count etc. I’m working on several pieces currently. One is spring Quaker from primrose cottage. 1 2 3 4
1, 2, 3, 4, I am stitching on a picture of my fur baby. I created the pattern using Mac stitch by adding the picture. It’s pretty cool. Thanks and congratulations!
Congrats on your little girl! I’m a May child and love Lilly of the Valley. I’ve never done a Mira but am interested in the advice you receive. Lovely stitches! 1
Haha... I feel the same way about counting stitches :) I love to just stitch, completely oblivious to a specific number. Shannon, you give me such courage to fully finish myself. I have so many finishes, but haven't fully finished anything myself yet. eek! I'm currently stitching a Hummingbird full coverage by Kustom Krafts for my daughter. I'm rotating that with Serenity by Teresa Kogut. 2, 3, 4
Hello from Virginia. Love all your projects. Today I'm stitching The Hearts of Ukraine. Would like 1,2,3,4, but especially 3 since my family is from Kansas and sunflowers are the state flower.
Congratulations on your little girl! Maybe stitch you are my sunshine on a light pink or light green …? I’m watching on the 25th so I’m working on my Christmastide sampler that was supposed to be done on January 5th…. 1 2 3 4 Also - I love your bless this home finish on the door! Super cute!
Hi Shannon! I think the blue backgroun on You are my Sunshine would work in your daughter's room. I'm stitching a small for Easter, one of my big projects is Every Opening Flower. 3 please. 😊
I am working on valentines -Valentine Quaker by Primrose and Redwood Valentine by Anabella’s. You have accomplished a lot since your last flosstube. 1, 2
I didn't try Nora yet, but I did Bella Filipina and I learned a lot with her. 1. I won't stitch those girls on 32ct and higher ever, because beads do not fit nicely and trying to go over each other and look very messy. So now for all my Mirabilia's I am picking up 28ct at least. 2. Kreinik - is better to stitch two ply (my own preference, I love the shine and coverage with 2 ply more), use shorter length of thread, bigger needle with preferably rounded edges inside of the eye (I prefer needle #26 for my metallics). 3. Replace Kreinik with Rainbow Gallery petite treasure braid if possible (much better experience and easier to work with). Regarding beading thread - I use invisible YLI (clear one), but it is very hard and fidgety to work with. It is so fine, that you won't feel it in your fingers, it is very slippery and hell to work with, but it is really invisible. I would advise to use different thread for beginning, from beading section in spools. You may use the same thread color as a bead to attach beads but personally I would usually do it if I don't want background fabric to be see through, otherwise I use my invisible thread. I love you finish as a door decoration. I love all you decoration ideas, you are very creative and inspiring. I wish I could be so creative :)
Hello from Michigan! I’m stitching on Santa’s House. It’s my WIPGO for the second half of the month. Love the name Lily ❤. I would like to be considered for the Aida fabric giveaway. Thank you. Love your videos!
Love your finishes. I never count either. I think it would be too intimidating. Love your little girls name. I’m stitching A Hundred Ways by Plum Street right now.
Sitting here stitching and your video came up in my algorithm. I do not, repeat - do not need any more projects! I should have cut out when you mentioned haul - but no, I stayed and then you showed Seasonal Couriers!!!!!!!!!! Am I in trouble now? Affirmative 🙃 Pause while I try to go find them BRB.......back LOL Only found 3 of them at 123 stitch, they did not have Bluejay's Summer - didn't even come up as "sold out" but I found all 4 at Pickens' site ~~~~~> happy Love the Lily of the Valley project for the baby's room perfect!! At present I am stitching "Name Blessing" for my granddaughter, pattern from Joyful Expressions online
Great video! I love the name Lily (Lilly). I am currently stitching the Little Owl Sampler by the Historical Sampler Co. it is a stitch along and so much fun. 1 2 3 4
Im stitching on serpents sentinel by stitch crypt for lunar new year n year of the 🐍- it will eventually be a birthday gift for my cousin! 1 You could def do it on a light pink fabric I think it would be super cute! Or even a nice light pastel green! I think u will be fine with a 1" border on that one side for ur plum street- as we all know 💩 happens 😜 and I'm sure framers have successfully framed pieces with much less border lololol. Worst case, I've seen other stitchers stitch another piece of fabric at the bottom to extend the margin, and that part wouldn't be seen in the picture anyway. But honestly, the framers should have no issue with the 1 side being more narrow they know what they're doing! Lol I've been doin stitchy shopping like crazy too- I end up doom scrolling on etsy and 123 and can't help myself it does certainly make me feel better 😂 I love the Robin Pickens series! I started the winter one on the solstice, and I plan on starting each season on its matching first day with the hopes of finishing it b4 the next one comes up if that makes sense lolol- I'm on track right now but I have so many other things I want to get to u know how plans get pushed aside! Happy stitching! 🐈⬛🪡❤️
always enjoy your videos, thank you for sharing all your beautiful work. Advice, given with love, from a very long ago mom: your ability to "train" children is excellent in theory, 50/50 in practice, and 0% in guaranteed results. Whether it's sleeping, feeding, potty training, etc, etc. Do your best, most of the time, which is always good enough. The main thing you will discover with child #2 is that every child is different. Seems logical, but is still a shock, how can the same set of genes combine in such a different personality!?!? lol. So my first baby girl, we used to joke we could vacuum under her crib and she wouldn't wake up. Baby girl #2, we used to joke you could be in a different room, with the door closed, and look at someone crossed eyed, and she would wake up. So... it all depends on the kid. And the day, and the phase. Do your best, most of the time, and it will be just fine. xoxoxo
Love your video. Great projects the project bless our home you did on door what colors did you use got the pattern to do. 1,3. Working on bless our home bye housewives roundabouts.

I like #1 and #2, I want to start stitching the Heartstring Samplery Go Tell it on the Mountain. Love your videos!!

Lol
I've been doin stitchy shopping like crazy too- I end up doom scrolling on etsy and 123 and can't help myself it does certainly make me feel better 😂
I love the Robin Pickens series!
Do your best, most of the time, and it will be just fine. xoxoxo
