I love this book. I study religions and learning about this sect and its secretive influences in governments is scary. Also how they abuse human beings.

From St. Josemaria's Friends of God:
"I have never asked anyone who has come to me, about his politics. I am just not interested! My attitude here demonstrates a fundamental fact about Opus Dei, to which by the grace and mercy of God, I have dedicated myself completely, in order to serve our holy Church. I am not interested in the subject because, as Christians, you enjoy the fullest freedom, with the consequent personal responsibility, to take part as you see fit in political, social or cultural affairs, with no restrictions other than those set by the Church's Magisterium."

So you’re saying because JE wrote it in a book then it must be true. Why should anyone believe it?

Opus Dei organization is criminal, abusive, and not from the Divine. 2025 project is grounded in hate. Jesus would condemn it.

@@Akindmind-oe7ol Look, this is ridiculous. There are Opus Dei members who are democrats, and there are some who are conservatives, in the same way that there are those in Spain who were both for and against Franco. (I personally know one who out of his free use of conscience voted for Biden.)
When you get to know real Opus Dei members you will see that they come from a wide variety of people, including even those with different political convictions. You will see that this respect for people's freedom in anything that doesn't contradict the faith is something (S)JE passionately defended. A true critical and objective mind would see that everything he talked about had holiness as its end.
      Please, temper your prejudice.

If he were more honest about his journalism, if he has read the writings of St. Josemaria, and if he has really looked into the real motives of Opus Dei's members (which are spiritual, and never political, material, or economic, as its founder had repeatedly stressed), then he would see Opus Dei simply as it is: an organization within the Catholic Church that emphasizes the universal call to holiness, and promotes a deep relationship with Christ in the middle of the world.

Look, bro, I am catholic, and I do not feel that I belong to the same church with Opus Dei. OD brings so much shame on us catholics. I am not happy explaining their weird life to people who wanna know why be christian, and at the same time expressing their doubts about christianity.
We do not need Opus Dei in order to participate the universal call to holiness. The Church is for that for all of it's members.

@@vivekapihl5179 I am sorry you feel that way. OD has been gravely misrepresented here, and if that is in fact what OD is, then I would agree that it is not Catholic. But go to the truth, look at what it truly is, without any prejudice, and you will see an organization that seeks holiness and bringing people to Christ.
