- This is a demonstration on how to enrol a Visonic Powermaster sensor/pir into a Visonic Powermaster alarm panel and how to set it up.
Thank you so much for putting all of your videos up they really helped. ADT installed my alarm back in 2013, the engineer did not leave me any information regarding installation codes or even a manual. So the alarm was pretty useless once I had cancelled the contract 7 years later. After seeing your videos I have total control over my alarm system which I more than paid for. I think it would help your channel if you would add ADT in your title as there are probably lots of people just like me wondering how to reset their old ADT box, I’ve been searching UA-cam for months trying to find a video like this. Thanks again I owe you a pint, subscribed👍🏽
Great help. Thanks
Really helpful video
Many thanks. I am just starting to install visionic products as an add on to my locksmith and glazing business. The product seems great quality and looking forward too some manufacture training coming up in the next few weeks.
Top stuff
They are good akarm systems, I've been installing them for about 17 years now. I'll put some more on soon.
Hi. Excellent video's which have helped me stop the unwanted bleeping. My Question : We have now decided we can live without the small tamper door sensors which we had fitted originally, as these are the ones that cause the most issues. How can I remove these from the control panel - Basically dis-enabling them completely?
Amazing advice and clearly explained. Can ask if this advice also applies to Door sensors? Thanks once again for a great informative video.
@@DarrenRick yes the door sensor will be the same.
@@simplysecurity3546 Thank you again for great advice, all worked perfectly. However, in trying to find a solution...Before finding your channel, I've somehow? Manged to stop my front door sensors from working (I've somehow deleted or disabled them) This is a (PowerG Wireless Door/Window Magnetic Contact, the thins ones) On the front door, and somehow I've deleted/disabled this while within the engineer mode. I've had a look at the various options when going back into this, but not wanting to make things worse, I wondered if you can advice an easy way to get it back working? I appreciate you can't see my system, but any advice would be great : ) Many thanks
@DarrenRick follow the video and try learning the contact back on again. The system will tell you if it is already on there and won't let you learn it on if it us. If you can learn it back on then set it up as entry exit or final exit.
@@simplysecurity3546 Thanks once again for your reply and advice
Hi, great video. I have the same sensor/system as you. However when I get to the step to push the enroll, the sensor just keeps flashing red. I’ve tried long pushes, short pushes, multiple pushes, removing the battery and trying again. Nothing…
Hi- one of our sensors fell down and broke - we need to enenrole the sensor (at a guess) but cannot find out how to do this - have you done a video on replacing a broken faulty sensor at all or could you help? Thanks Derek
Hi, thank you very much for the great video!
I have another question: I just changed the small flat CR2032 batteries in the door sensor. It is not the same sensor as the one in the video, but it's quite similar. Now, when I turn on the alarm system, it goes off. Is it possible that the alarm is triggered just because I changed the battery? Thank you!
Yes it could be seeing a tamper on the door contact. Have a look to see if there is an orange triangle light on the front of the panel. If there is press the ok button a few times and the panel will tell you what the problem is.
Hello, thanks for your good videos. I want to decommission the system and take it to a new home. What is your advice to shut down the system. Do I need to delete all the devices such as PIR's. Kind regards.
Hi Mate,
When you go into device setting at that time you find "Event Counter" Here you determine whether an alarm will be activated upon continued motion (low sensitivity) or upon a single alarm event (high sensitivity)..
can you please explain me what is this means for. I have this for NEXT K9-85 PG2 Wireless, PIR /Pet Tolerant Motion Detector sensor.
Also, I want to know can I adjust to more sensitive beacuse I do not have a pet now and hence, I don't need as said below in manual:-
The Next K9-85 PG2 detector is tolerant to 38 kg (85 lb) animals moving on the floor or climbing on
furniture as long as the activity takes place below 1 m (3 ft). Above the 1 m (3 ft) height limit, the detector is tolerant to 19 kg (42 lb) pets, but the pet immunity will decrease as the pet gets closer to the detector. It is therefore recommended to select a mounting location that minimizes potential close proximity of animals.
Hi thank you for the excellent videos on powermaster gtx panels, they are very clear and informative. I am just starting out on wire free systems having been a hard wired installer for over 25 years. I have watched your video on installing the ether net module and app, This is something I have never had to do before as most hardwired systems don't have an app, I followed your video exactly, the only part I am confused by is the IP address, do I install the IP address in your video, if not which IP address do I type in and where would I get this from, I am sure that one of my customers will ask for smart phone set up at some point, I need to learn how to do this confidently, hope you can help, kind regards Paul.
Thanks, I try and make them easy to understand. Use the ip address in the video as this is the one for the visonic server and it works every time. Good luck.
Hi, I was wondering if you could explain how to enrol a Visonic Powermax sensor/pir into a visonic Powermaster alarm?
It doesn't have the easy button to enrol
Thanks
On the back of the sensor there should be a number code, it starts with three digits and then four digits. You have to type this number into the panel. If you follow the video but instead of pressing the enrol button type in the code instead.
Sorry the number may be on top of the sensor not on the back.
