- With the live action version of Avatar: The Last Airbender coming out on Netflix, well I think it’s time to dive back in to the world of Avatar! And specifically, well were gonna take a look at the earth benders from the Earth Kingdom - ranking them all from weakest to strongest. So lets get to it!

honestly I feel Avatar's should be excluded from the list. or to be fair you can't count any of their Avatar state moments as they are getting help from their past lives to boost their abilities, and Kyoshi actually was a late Avatar who didn't find out she was the Avatar until in like her 20's, and I remember hearing about an earth bender who learned to manipulate his cells to basically become immortal.
I don't comment much but that might've been her cannon before her novels written by F.C. Yee.
She was noticed as the Avatar at age 17-18. The immortal guy has a name but I won't spoil it. Furthermore, I agree Avatars should be excluding from this list

If you're going to include Kyoshi you should also include Yun.

Taking down a 91 year old zuko is kind of a fodder feat
I’d prefer having different thumbnails when it comes to these types of videos. They always end up showing the number 1 pick as number 2, spoiling the video and feeling a bit clickbaity because I’m then thinking “oh who’s number 1?? Never mind, there was no one”. But that’s just me, still great content.
In terms of the actual list, I’d definitely put Ghazan above the toph daughters. It was stated the members red lotus individually could take down any bender, so putting Ghazan so low doesn’t seem right. Lin and Solin are both great benders, but against Ghazan I think they both lack power and the precision to beat him.
I don't think gahzan can beat Lin and sue zuko said that but everyone just beat him and even bumi a novice got the better of him they didn't fight him because they needed to save Korra

**Kyoshi is a tough placenent because her best feats are all in Avatar State, plus she often uses air as well. Without it, I dont think she cracks top 3.
Kyoshi can dust step, glassbend, secret earthbending immortality technique, move continents, lavabend, etc. Yun can reshape, reform, condense particles, psychic earthbend, saltbend, and just overall have complete mastery of the element. I'd say it would be:
1. Toph
2. Yun
3. Kyoshi
But that's just me, and we're all entitled to how we make our informed opinion.
When will there be ranking of fast and furious characters
Another of King Bumi's feats you forgot to mention. He can also bend Jennamite, a crystalline mineral that grows extremely quickly when in contact with organic matter.
Ok not including characters from the comic novels and avatars here how I would rank the earthbenders
1st toph
2nd king bumi
3rd gahzan (zuko said he could probably beat any bender there is in a 1 on 1 fight and honestly I can see destroying lin su and kuvira (bolin in a couple of years can probably be stronger
4th bolin after just learning how he was holding his own and was on equal fighting stance against gahzan who has decades of experience on him something and again as zuko said gahzan is someone who probably can take anyone in a 1 v 1 I honestly see him be the next avatar earth bending teacher and more like bumi and actively taking part in the fights
5th kuvira
6th lin
7th su
8th/9th wei and wing
10th the Boulder
Your logic is faulty if ghazan beats lin and suyin he'll beat toph too.

Toph, Lin and Suyin are very reluctant to allow anyone else to touch their feet, probably because insensitive handling there would make them deaf to other vibrations and thereby render them helpless (and because they are far more sensitive than other people's feet).

Kyoshi, before she realized she was even the avatar, moved whole tectonic plates. so YES, she is still definitely the most powerful earth bender

9. Kyoshi (all of her great feats are with the Avatar State. If we include Avatar State showings for earthbenders, then this ranking becomes an avatar state ranking rather than an earthbending ranking. With the Avatar State, even wan will be above toph, Bumi and Yun)

Suyin while weakened by malnutrition and inactivity from weeks of imprisonment, while fighting without her standard gear, and while holding back to a very limited extent due to her love for a kuvira, was able to fight on par with Kuvira and didn’t technically lose as she was only thrown off the platform but got up just fine.
Full health with all her weapons and armour, Suyin beats Kuvira, and I’d argue Lin does as well.

@@IamnotfromUSAreally? Then why did Suyin literally ragdoll Ghazan with 1 earth attack in Book 3 in the Zaofu fight? She bent 1 column of earth from the ground and pretty much oneshot Ghazan. And Book 3 Suyin < Comics Suyin.
Ghazan has more raw power, but I don’t think he has the speed to keep up with Lin and Suyin’s super quick attacks. Bumi II was able to give him trouble for crying out loud.
Yun and Jianzhu are stronger than bumiYun without FGW was said to be one of the strongest benders in his generation. And even Kelsang believed him to be the Avatar based on his skill. His precision also had Kyoshi amazed

I think you should have just left the Avatar out of this, particularly kyoshi, cos she didn’t use just earth bending but air, as well as two others… the list should have just been for regular earthbenders.
Already lost me when you put lavabending Bolin at 8😂 and then GHAZAN AT 8😂😂😂😂 Ghazan would probably beat Toph

There is a debate that Solin is Sokka's daughter. It would have made more sense instead of Lin. Cause it would be weird for Tenzin to date his cousin
Sorry but Kyoshi was a different breed of person and she absolutely slams everyone on this list.
Bumi always seemed more powerful than Toph. Even though they did have a small fight previously if if continued I think Bumi would have taken it.
Also Ghazan needs to be way higher on this list.

Seems kind of unfair to include Kyoshi in the list. As she's probably the most powerful bender overall ever.
Kyoshi and her former earth bending master are number one as they can bend their innner sellf to make them live hundreds of years and still look young.
Bumi means, The earth in my language.
In the book of Kyoshi it is discovered that her mother was an Airbender. The fans belonged to her mother.

Gazham is waaaaay stronger than the beifong sisters, bumi, kuvira and I believe even stronger than toph.
like seriously, what can they do against him? when bolin fought in the palm oasis inn, he mentioned that everything he throw at Gazham becomes his ammo to do even more lavabending.
So earthbending don't work on him.
and metal bending didnt work on him either, when red lotus invaded zhao fu, a lot of metal benders couldn't do sht against him. metal melting point is not that hight so it would melt too quickly on the lava.
Bolin could only fight him cuz he unlocked lavabending too and had help from Mako.

Putting an avatar at number 1 seriously? Avatara don't count. They have the power in every element of 1000 benders an an ancient spirirt. Every single avatar is going to be the nsit powerful bender of each element tf. You should not put avatars in these types of videos cmon now
I think avatars can be in these rankings so long as their base power is observed rather than their avatar state feats

@@aestheticxyz2409not necessarily. Wan’s waterbending feats don’t come remotely close to Katara’s. Yangchen’s firebending is garbage compared to Ozai’s (who’s also confirmed to be the most powerful firebender ever). Korra’s a great earthbender, but she ain’t got shit on Yun.
Yes, avatars do have lots of raw power with the elements even in base form, and they are usually prodigies in the other elements. But without the avatar state, there are still benders who can surpass them in the elements. Like I don’t think any avatar without the avatar state is a better firebender than Ozai, Iroh or Kemurikage Azula.
Agreed the only one of the avatars I think is ok to use is Wan when measuring who is the strongest fire bender as we have quite a lot of fits for him even before he became the avatar

No, Bumi and her are literally equals, as established in the comics. And even they aren't on Kyoshi level. There is another one that is though. Yun, from the Kyoshi novels. Widely considered to be more powerful than Kyoshi.
