They didn't even take his temperature, I'd transfer schools if I was on the team.

People who like to justify abuse to kids and athletes like to say stuff like "toughen them up". That type of mentality has no place in today's society.

Funny how ESPN edits out the end of this segment with Max trying to get a last quick point in but Molly intercepts him and starts getting emotional talking about the family of the victim. Max's face as she's going on and on is priceless.

A lot of people from the older generation love to say "well back in my day....." to excuse some BS that's happening now because it was okay back then. A lot of things that were acceptable 30-50 years ago, aren't okay today because the world EVOLVED. This type of football practice is archaic and outdated and it can't be allowed to stand anymore.

In America sports is given much more importance than academics in schools and colleges, student Athletes are exploited for entertainment and profit many of them are cast aside later when they can't become professional athlete and don't have proper education for bright future in other professions the obsession with sports in schools is just weird

Old school coaches are still fine despite the picture that gets painted. But some old school practices cant be tolerated, and a staff full of old school guys is bound to neglect health and safety.

I agree with Max that its good to see accountability and someone taking responsibility, but he credits social media outrage mobs as the cause, and champions them; completely dissolving his credibility. Max doesn't even realize that outrage mobs blow things completely out of their particular proportion; everything is always def-con 1. When an actually critical situation arises, the public reacts the same way to a coach, player, etc saying something stupid on twitter; in this case though, someone actually died. The media would have issued the exact same kind of pressure on the team for domestic violence on the team, substance abuse on the coaching staff, etc. The public has become so accustomed to the outrage that a truly outrageous event like this one, the mentality is, "another day another incident."
