This is great. I was literally thinking about something similar days ago. It’s useless to improve PP filters without improving material games in the first place. I’d like to work on car materials in particular though, you can make car paints A TON better by using CSP well
@@anxmoia correct. This is what I’m trying to achieve on my kart mod, that’s why I studied the matter a bit more in depth. Every surface of my kart has some sorts of reflections, they’re required to make the lighting look better. CSP has some special shaders that really can improve this (but I might try to make my own shader for a need that isn’t covered right now, but they’re just ideas), but needs manual work on every car to really push graphics to the limit

WOW! This is amazing! One issue Ive been having forever is jagged lines how do you properly get rid of those, ive tried every aa settings and combining them but it doesnt work.
Try Dynamic Super Resolution (Nvidia dsr but the new one) or Virtual Super Resolution (AMD VSR) in the driver Menu. I play in 5k upsampling on a 4k TV. This gives me better performance than native 4k and nice AA to complete image. When you have a 1080p TV you can go up to 4k. Looks awesome.
That's actually insane, gj man. The only thing that bothers me is the sun brightness/exposure, like in many popular filters its really bright (you can see it best in 1:34 and later)
Bloom destroyed it- Luminance should be BEFORE AO and color mix AFTER AO- It should be soft and subtle- Easy fix is to increase radious greatly and give it 70-85% opacity

As someone who has been part of the Photomode Community going all the way back to GT4. All I can say this about the community on a whole is this. Ever since the first ever Photomode appeared in GT4, I’ve been amazed at how far it has come ever since the early days of such a community. Sure the community built around a Virtual Photography could be viewed as a niche hobby. But once the Xbox 360 and PS3 era arrived, it gave the community a much needed boost when it comes to new creators, features and graphics. Once more games began to incorporate one followed by modders also building tools and code needed to bring virtual photography. The content that could be possible with use of a wider range of mods, in-game tool and external software saw a dramatic increase in terms of virtual photographers and a wider genre of games incorporating one with some that even added features that were once impossible to do on older hardware. Right with those thoughts out of the way what are my thoughts on the Driveclub Look/Filter Mod. As someone who got so much joy out of Driveclub. It’s wonderful to see what could be captured with such a mod. And because of that, I will be looking to use it after my first new PC in 10 years is built. However since my latest GT7 Photomode set has been stuck in limbo since June 2022, because of computer issues due to it’s age. I won’t be jumping into the modded AC and even ACC Photomode Community straight away. Reason being I want to focus on finishing up the shots that are on my old hard drives that will still be useful for backing up shots once they are turned into external hard drives in 2024 with said SATA Hard Drives being used as normal hard drives at first. But once my 8C - GT7 shots are complete, I will begin to think about what to capture in AC and PC2 followed by ACC at a later date. And once my first shots are captured, you might see a new face in the Discord server even though my shots will also be posted on Twitter and Flickr. Lastly what games will I be capturing shots from in 2024. For Racing Games the main ones will be. GT7, FM, FH5, AC, ACC and PC2. And when it comes to non-racing games the only one that is on my mind is Starfield. But since Ansel will give me a reason to revisit older games while also playing new ones that work with Ansel. When it comes to games without a Photomode, the Battlefield Franchise Games should give me some interesting options. But on the whole most of my shots will be from racing games with some being captured on a 4070 TI. I would of liked a 4090. But since such a card has a hefty price tag, I had to go for something a bit cheaper when paired with a 13th Gen i7 and 16GB of DDR5. Anyway with those thoughts out of the way. I look forward to seeing what improvements you will bring to such a mod in late 2023 and 2024. :)
That was an awesome read. I did enter some photo contest(and won a few) on Forza back in the days. It's refreshing with the new tools you can have on AC thanks to the modders. Glad you're getting a PC, welcome aboard! I highly recommend trying Cyberpunk 2077.

at this point these mods have practically perfected lighting, the only thing still making it look like a game now is the textures (specifically the leaves textures) once that gets improved then it'll look like real life!

Frere I have too many questions already, how successful you have such beautiful reflections I have disgusting reflections but that's not all if I buy skydc is what there are the presets included to have exactly the same graphics as you or there is just the ppfilter because I would like so much to have the same light reflections as you have and also last question has you a reshade if yes your preset is included

That's called adding imperfections like chromatic aberration, bloom, vignette, depth of field, sharpness, film grain, etc. CSP currently don't offer much imperfections to play with, hopefully more is coming in the future.

I 100% agree with you. An easy fix to that is to simply lower your exposure target and increase bloom threshold
