hi, what is the exact order of pitching. do you seperate the base to pitch it first and as my straps are disconnected where do they go, there are 3 of them (two black ends, one orange)> thanks
I have never undone my zips (outer skin to ground sheet) since first pitch about 8 years ago lol Its not made a difference i dont think. The straps kinda confuse me tbh, again i just leave them attached and under the ground sheet... I think they're to do with stability in higher winds as (far as i can tell) they loop under the ground sheet. The vid here just shows him undo the black ones at the back, put the cord under and clip it up at the back. I dont know of any orange clip... do i have an orange clip?! lol Look for an orange other end? Pitching order is simple (and pitching is simple... I can put it up pretty much by myself in the dark, raining and/or abit of wind - wind is the worst when lone pitching, two people its fine) Dump the stupidly heavy bag in a big spot unroll it and stretch the ground sheet (black) and pin her down (Attach the outer skin if not already connected) Make sure the clips are under the ground sheet, Ponder their existence Make up the main pole, remember to put a bung on the top and bottom AND the very handy coat/light/inner skin hook ring on the pole Push up the main pole in the re-enforced hood *** Make sure the hood/cowl is wrapped around... Its a b!tch to do perfectly right once its up. Do your chimney if you got a wood burner. Do this from the inside whilst the tent is still down and pole is resting in place*** Push the pole up until its in centre Pin down the outer skin of the round bit but leave the front flapping in the wind Feed the curve metal bit into the front, Make up the front poles and attach them to the curve, then do one pin easily and painfully do the other one (stretch/flex the cords and tent nearby if it really wont go) Pin down the front Tighten outer skin (and) do guy ropes (if windy). I regularly don't bother with guy ropes in mild conditions. Iv been out in a few storms in this thing and shes dreamy. First time i was abit scared of the size, the lean of the skin toward the centre pole near the top (almost flat) and the flapping flag sound she has (not to mention the howl of mother nature), but half way through the night i got up to check my ropes and pegs, and not a single one was pulled, just a few loose guy ropes. Now i sleep fine through storms reassuring my friends "its fine" lol
@5.40 He attaches the outer grey straps through the under loop (2 black clips with long grey straps) and then pins it, which probably helps the skin not flex so much in wind by dispersing any pressure more evenly around the base. I just pull and pin them straight out. Still cant think of the orange clip... it must stay together or not be used! Where is it?

Its great!
Price put it in the vidio.
800-1200 Its worth it if you camp alot. I got mine for 850 from a camping shop in England after some hunting
Interesting but it feels like we're missing something but I can't put my finger on it.
Thank you 😊
Very hard to built it
lol Its the easiest tent to put up! No bendy stretching tension poles! I did it alone in the dark at a rave last night bro :)
too complicated! Put me off!
