Unfortunately you have found out what I learned after buying a couple of old houses. There is no such thing as a simple 1 hr repair job. It seems to always end up in what I call a career job!! Keep plugging away and you will be glad you went to all that trouble. By the way nice job on your hardwood floors. We had the similar situation with the flooring in my daughter's house.
