$1600???? That’s amazing! The most I’ve ever made is $400! Well done! Garage sales are a lot of work but it’s 100% worth it to have the cash instead of clutter!
Nice work! So clean and organized. I wouldn't do Goodwill (they throw away or over price a lot), but found a nice shelter or some place like that to donate. Your donation there goes straight to the ones in need
Goodwill is also very bad business practices and how they treat people and use people with disabilities. I don’t buy from them or donate to them. I like animal charities.
You are so organized and you did such a great job!! My daughter and husband and I did a sale two years in a row and she got all the money for her first car! It was so much fun to do with her and she got a good chunk of change for her car. It was hard work and we didn't have an available garage so we used our front lawn and had to stage the stuff in the morning each day of the sale and then put it all inside each night. Good memories though and even though we worked very hard it was fun as well!!
Congrats Crystal! You were successful because you did it RIGHT! I’ve done my sales exactly the same way and it really is a lot of work... presentation and preparation equals $$
Wow. Very impressive. Your sale was very organized. Where I live, garage sales usually start on Thursday. Have had a couple garage sales, and you are right, they are so much work. I was happy to make over $100.00. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Crystal. Ivè haven`t yet organized a garage sale & just came across your page, well done to you & your family. Thanks for sharing your ideas. All The Best.
Love how organized your sale was ! I'm more likely to stop and buy things when people have everything laid out nice 😄 where I live in rural Indiana people have garage sales every day of the week lol ...we used to live in Illinois and yard sales were usually Thursday-Saturday so coming here was a big change 😜
Wow! Thats great! 👍 I had a garage sale this spring & we made $850 - $900 between everyone that had things there, but you definitely had more baby clothes then we did.
Wow!! Great sale and great tips. Sales start on Thursday where I live, sometimes even Wednesdays. Signage is key. We yardsale a lot, clear signs and direction are what we look for. My son is getting married next summer and we are finding a ton of wedding decor at yardsales!! LOVE it💖
I had a garage sale yesterday, haven't even counted the cash yet. I had at one point, 20 people in my garage and driveway. The women noticed I was a Hobby Lobby and HomeGoods girl. It was a little stressful, but seeing all the people come was pretty cool.
I couldn’t love this post more!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!! So motivating. Also, I really appreciate the price sharing. I never know what to charge!😉. Nice work mama!!!!💪🏻
I think the Thursday garage sales are regional..in Pa, its very rare to see garage sales on Thursdays. Glad it worked out for you! Impressed that you priced each baby clothing item..been to a ton of yard sales and my biggest pet peeve is when NOTHING is priced. Your sale looked like a consignment sale!! 👏
I haven't finished the video yet. 4 years ago I purged my entire house, knowing we would be buying a house and moving. I took about a month and organized everything. It was a very good sale. I made close to $1400! Nothing was priced high. I think pricing to sell is the way to go. People don't want to spend a lot at garage sales. I sold tons of Gymboree and name brand clothes for cheap. People bought more when they weren't priced high.
My garage selling heart was so happy to hear/see how clean & organized your sale was! Would it be ridiculous for me to drive from Texas to shop your next sale?!😜
Same here. This probably is one of the most organized and well put together sales I have ever seen! And that's including some consignment shops as well.
Ile have another sale this next weekend. And yes they are a little overwhelming. I actually had someone steal from our sale last year. So I definitely had my eyes peeled.
Way to go! I knew you were going to have a jackpot sale! You are going to have a lot of new additions to the house with yours money! Congratulations!!!
I used to have garage sales often but it's so much work, you price stuff cheap and people still wanna bargain with you and try to get it cheaper, that's so annoying so I just donate it and that's it!!
The amount of stuff you have for sale proofs that that we have a huge problem in America. Over-shopping, lack of recycling, falling for sales and buying without a real purpose. However, Thanks for the tips.
Great tips, thanks for sharing. Your sale was such a success, I haven't heard of anyone around here making much at all. I think they price things too high. Your sale was so organized and reasonable priced - that had to be key.
Really great video, Crystal. It's great to see how much information you have around something you really have a passion for. You know how people think about these things and therefore can tailor the experience to serve them best--very helpful! Jodi
i have never heard of or seen a garage sale on a weekday, here in Australia we only seem to do them on the weekends, mainly Saturday. It would be interesting to see is a weekday would work here.
Omg 100% agree on all this! I love doing yard sales and yep all I do too especially taking a lower price and when it’s done I load it up right there and take it to donate after the sale. I used to keep things year to year and some years i didn’t want to store so I just got rid of it. But yes you hit the nail on the head! I contemplated starting a yard sale business because I think a lot of people want to do it but are overwhelmed and don’t but I never did it. Wished I did for summer fun and money lol. Wow! How much you sold!! Awesome!!!
Love the Thursday sale! The area where I live has the typical Friday and Saturday sales. My sister lives in Medina, Ohio and they have Thursday sales. Great job Crystal. Like everything else you do, it was organized, neat really pure perfection. Congrats on your earnings.😀
I love your Garage Sales I can said I’m very organized this will be my second one and I’m copying you a little bit 🫶😬 I’m struggling with the price N some stuff 🫣Thanks so much for sharing 😘
Have you ever done children’s consignment sales? I sell all my daughters clothes that way. It’s a little work tagging them and you have to track down hangers, but I usually make 2-5$ per item on average for clothes.
Champagne & Lollipops, Over the years when my kids were little I sold all their clothes at a local consignment sale too. And I bought 99% of my son's clothing at the same sale when he was little.
I am a new subscriber loved your blog I kept my nephews clothes I never had children so we bought all his clothes from infancy to 18 I have all the clothes & they are all quality clothes they still look new. I am finally going to sell them next year at our 2 day community yard sale !! ( Judy )
Wow, like a second hand STORE if not BETTER! You would have no prob. Head manager for any retail/ wholesale operations. I have lots of Clothes I may go the extra mile and wash all the clothes make them smell good fold them all nice and neat like yours and be a 4sure SALE definitely. MUCH THANKS and ALOHA for your AWESOME video clip 👍
Check your areas for foster and orphan care places to donate useable baby and children’s clothes and other items. Sometimes families receive children last minute and theses places offer support for them. Great job on your sales
What fantastic tips and tricks for someone who hasn't done this before. You did so well to raise so much money for home improvements. I think it's success seemed to be 90% in the advertising widely and planning out your items so they were easy to find, with a price that was reasonable for secondhand items. A price on everything is very important for me. l don't want to have to go back and forward to the seller checking how much they wanted for each item. I would pass things by rather than ask repeatedly. How did the kids lemonade and cookie stand do?
Wow that's a lot. But you did have everything organized so well. Awesome! I've only had 2 in the past 25 years and didn't do very well. So it's more trouble than it's worth for me. I just donate to the local thrift store and be done with it.
Hi, great video. Can you tell me how much you would price bras. I have a ton of bras and need to sale, but you know how some people are. Thanks in advance
Can you do a kids consignment sale?i kept on top of mine that way so it was not that overwhelming. That is with 4 kids. Has worked well every 6 mo I get rid of stuff and make money.
I my are pricing is useless. People want to pay a dollar or less for everything. Which is ok for some things but I find it’s easier to make up a price when they ask how much and then barter from there
$1600 bucks...so much worth all the work! Now you have another job: You will need to "go shopping" so you can fill up those empty bins again! :>) This great grandma loves watching your early morning videos with that first cup of coffee!
Nice tips but I'm not sold on the Thursday thing. Your first day should always be your best because everyone wants to be the first to see the good stuff and that's when you sell the most desirable items. The other days are picked over. When I was doing sales I wouldn't even bother with a picked over sale. If it started Thursday or Friday I wouldn't even bother to go on Sat or Sunday. If you start on a Saturday, it will be your first day and it will be good. Yes people are busy on weekends but most people are working on Thursdays and Fridays and can't get to your sale.
This is exactly right. I just had a really successful garage sale that started on a Saturday, and Saturday was CRAZY busy! We sold so much more that day because everyone wanted to get first choice!
Ugh!! I hate it when people “rummage”. No consideration for other shoppers. It drives me nuts when I have to go through a mess that someone else created. It’s the same in the toddler clothing area at Walmart. It seriously doesn’t take that much effort to put things back where you found them... folded. 🙄 Sorry. *rant over*
$1600???? That’s amazing! The most I’ve ever made is $400! Well done! Garage sales are a lot of work but it’s 100% worth it to have the cash instead of clutter!
Here is Saturday and Sunday morning the best day for garage sale, during the week everyone is working.

Incredible. Would like to see more on how you priced your other items!
So clean and organised, love it! I’m having one this weekend ahhh thanks for your tips :D
Also, I loved your tip about not sitting right near the clothes. When I'm at baby markets I always feel the seller staring!
Hi Crystal. Ivè haven`t yet organized a garage sale & just came across your page, well done to you & your family. Thanks for sharing your ideas. All The Best.
Wow! That’s awesome! I’m excited if I make around $100 lol

Wow!! Great sale and great tips. Sales start on Thursday where I live, sometimes even Wednesdays. Signage is key. We yardsale a lot, clear signs and direction are what we look for. My son is getting married next summer and we are finding a ton of wedding decor at yardsales!! LOVE it💖
I live in northwest Indiana and a lot of ppl do a "preview sale" Thursday night usually 4p-7p and they do really well around here at least
I had a garage sale yesterday, haven't even counted the cash yet. I had at one point, 20 people in my garage and driveway. The women noticed I was a Hobby Lobby and HomeGoods girl. It was a little stressful, but seeing all the people come was pretty cool.
Wow, you did great! Thank you for sharing the tips. You have totally inspired me to have a garage sale!
I couldn’t love this post more!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!! So motivating. Also, I really appreciate the price sharing. I never know what to charge!😉. Nice work mama!!!!💪🏻
Wow!!! Super successful garage sale. So awesome.

I'm in PA also and in my area Thursday yard sales are common. It was always my busiest day when I had them. Must be a reginal thing.
So organized!!! Thanks for the great tips 💛loved the video 👍
Love your organization skills. Nice video...thanks.

Hi, I wanted to ask if you could please do more videos about pricing your items. Thanks!☺

I need to have a yard sale but every time I think of cleaning it up..I talk myself out of having one..lol
Motivation is everything. I wish we could travel to the future to see the end results!
Way to go! I knew you were going to have a jackpot sale! You are going to have a lot of new additions to the house with yours money! Congratulations!!!
Very impressive. You did a great job Crystal!
I used to have garage sales often but it's so much work, you price stuff cheap and people still wanna bargain with you and try to get it cheaper, that's so annoying so I just donate it and that's it!!
The amount of baby/kids clothes you had was insane. That was so overwhelming to look at.
Congrats on a great sale. So glad you priced everything. I will usually walk away if I go to a sale with nothing priced.
The amount of stuff you have for sale proofs that that we have a huge problem in America. Over-shopping, lack of recycling, falling for sales and buying without a real purpose. However, Thanks for the tips.

Fantastic job! Success!!! Great amount you made!!
Thanks for all the tips ! I’m gonna have one soon now I know how to organize and have a successful one ☝️... thanks so much for sharing
Awesome tips and that is so great on that garage sell!!
We price everything in quarter increments (.25 .50 $1 $2 etc) so we didn’t have to deal with odd amounts. Totaling a purchase went much quicker!!
YES! That is a great tip as well!!
I love that you price to sell! So many times garage salers lose their common sense and price high. Fantastic job! Garage sales are hard work!
i have never heard of or seen a garage sale on a weekday, here in Australia we only seem to do them on the weekends, mainly Saturday. It would be interesting to see is a weekday would work here.
Same here in Canada! Everyone would be at work Thurs and Fri!
Omg 100% agree on all this! I love doing yard sales and yep all I do too especially taking a lower price and when it’s done I load it up right there and take it to donate after the sale. I wish I had stopped at your sale sooner than I did! Still got awesome stuff! Thanks, Crystal!
Amazing job! I wish I could have attended. But I live on the other side of the world 😅
Great idea to have a plan on how to spend your earnings! 😁 and I’m the same...have never seen a Thursday sale! Very interesting. 😊
You did such an amazing job!

Wow! $1600😳. I really like the way you bundled the outfits together. You certainly earned that $1600.
I love your Garage Sales I can said I’m very organized this will be my second one and I’m copying you a little bit 🫶😬 I’m struggling with the price N some stuff 🫣Thanks so much for sharing 😘

Thursday is the big day in my town.
Wow you did great Crystal! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Btw, you did a GREAT JOB!! That’s a ton of hard work!
So much useful information...thank you
Wow you had tons!! In Canada where I live garage sales are only on sat until 12pm. 😥
Yep, it's true ! If you're out looking for garage sales after 12....you're pretty much outta luck !
Until 12!! In the USA is untill you want all day.
I live in Canada (Edmonton, AB). Garage sales usually run Thursday to Sunday 9am-7/9pm
This a real woman.
Well, she can't be a fake woman...
Wow, y'all did great!! It makes me want to do a yard sale!! Extra money would be great but also just to get rid of Soooo much clutter.😀
Exactly!! Extra money and no more clutter!
I am a new subscriber loved your blog I kept my nephews clothes I never had children so we bought all his clothes from infancy to 18 I have all the clothes & they are all quality clothes they still look new. I am finally going to sell them next year at our 2 day community yard sale !! ( Judy )

Holy smokes that’s a lot of clothes
Wow you guys did awesome 👏🏽 $1600!! Great video this definitely motivates me more to continue prepping for my moving sale lol!!
Hi, great video. Can you tell me how much you would price bras. I have a ton of bras and need to sale, but you know how some people are. Thanks in advance

What about consignment store for the remaining items?
Ughh good for you!! But all that work gave me anxiety!! I’m just going to donate everything!😫😫
You're so beautiful! Your smile reminds me of Cameron Diaz! 🥰

She needed extra money for home improvement

It obviously worked for her for a reason, for many people their weekend plans start on Thursday and they prepare to relax on Friday and Saturday

Why can’t you just donate all leftover items? Please don’t donate stained or flawed items.
Wow,you must have made a lot of money to be able to buy any of those goals you had for the money you made
Wow $1600!!!
I just donate all the leftovers,to purge,I have way too much stuff, hoarder at heart
dont people work anymore? Who is going garage sales on a weekday?
You earned every penny of that $1600. You worked really hard to earn that.😆
YES!! Lots of hard work to get there!
Ugh!! I hate it when people “rummage”. No consideration for other shoppers. It drives me nuts when I have to go through a mess that someone else created.
