I've been gardening 57 years, since I was 3 years old, and I do believe this is the best gardening video I've ever seen! I look forward to attending many of your lectures in person some day, but until then, thank you so much for sharing this with me! Much appreciation from a fellow bulb fanatic, and one who also disliked the one, seemingly never-ending season in Southern California!
Gotta say; “dynamic garden” informational talk, packed so full of garden gems, delivered to us buy a dynamic new voice here on you tube-!! You my dear are fantastic!! why this has not been viewed more is a mystery.
Thank you so very much. Pulling this together was a total labor of love and I hoped it would provide value and inspiration to everyone. Thank you for affirming that wish came true! 😊
This is the BEST instructional video that I've come across about garden planning. So many things finally clicked for me. I've really been stuck in my design. Thank you for helping me to move forward with a plan. Please post more 😊
OMG! Where have you been hiding? To say that your presentation was absolutely incredible would be the understatement of the century. I will have to watch it several more times to take it all in. A million thanks for sharing your expertise. Oh, and I don’t suppose you’d consider moving to New York, right???
WOW! I have only watched the first five minutes of your seminar and can tell you are going to be one of my favorite channels ever! You have a passion that you share but still educate gardeners with your vast knowledge with an ease anyone will want to use in our own yards.
Hello! I really enjoyed this webinar packed with actionable information explained in very accessible and memorable ways- "head, shoulders, knees and toes; "plant buddies," "create S shapes" and SO much more! Thank you SO for sharing. 🙂
Awwwww... Thank you so much! It was 💯 one of my main goals to give everyone actionable items they can immediately take into their garden to make an impact. So glad to have you here!
That was AMAZING. What a wealth of knowledge, inspiration, and energy you are. Since I can’t get out in my garden today, I’m off to watch more of your videos! ❤
Fantastic presentation that touched all the seasonal doubts, questions, success' and failures we have all experienced. Thanks to Janey for introducing you to us and your so positive seminar. Plant nerds unite! Thank you...and loved your forest bathing display.
You are the component that I have been missing in my garden. As I learn the basics of the dynamic garden and the 6 seasons, I will need to learn a new vocabulary of plants. I am in Puyallup and am happy that you focus on the PNW. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience in such a positive format. You make the learning curve fun.
I’m so happy I found your channel! Thanks Janey for sharing! I love your voice, the funny things you share and of course style. I’ve been wanting to see more of Washington state, never been but distant family lives there. I live in NE KS, very boring here as far as nature trails go. I watch Isabel Paige’s channel, lol 😊 she’s my daughter’s age but go into daydream mode what it would be like to live there as a gardener. Now I found a wonderful person to binge on some new videos tonight. ❤
Welcome to my little neck of the internet! I am a total die hard northwesterner and find so much joy in sharing my little slice of heaven! And I’ll have yo check out Isabel Paige. I looooove daydreaming. So happy to have you here!
@@HelloGarden I took lots of notes when you were explaining the design process. Hands down best explanation on designing a garden. It’s a good thing you’re on YT. 😊❤️ Have fun at the garden show!
Yes! Love what you are talking about. I'm in zone 9b northern California so winter is quite mild but there still are quite a few definite seasons if you know what to look for. The dynamic rhythm of my garden is what keeps me grounded. I don't go by calendar days for gardening, I use the equinoxes & solstices & cross quarter days & moon phases. I try to spend at least 15 minutes walking through my garden daily but at least 5 minutes sheltered on the porch looking out at my garden if the weather is truly terrible.
Oh this is SO good!!! I love that you’re experiencing the shifts. Our gardens are so much more than 4 seasons. And I LOVE looking at the moon cycles and tracking what is happening in my garden during that time too. Well done!
I was so looking for a gardener from Seattle or PNW in YT. I follow Debbie from Garden Style and learn quite a lot about our PNW weather Zone 8. Thanks to Janey, got to find you. Great informational video for seasonal garden. Thank you so much. Please do more contents when you have time on PNW plants.
Another local! Woo hoo! We have such an incredible climate for gardening. Aren't we the luckiest? I have lots of planting coming up so you can see what works for me in my garden and beyond!
Love this! Well done presentation, thanks so much for sharing it for those of us who couldn't make it to the Northwest Flower & Garden Festival! And thank you to Janey @ Dig, Plant, Water, Repeat for introducing us to you!
You are amazing! I'm so glad I found you through Janie's visit to the garden show. You have a unique way of putting everything together where it totally makes sense and inspires me to want to be more focused in my garden to have a garden that is beautiful year round and makes a statement. I'm in NC or I would hire you in a minute! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and talent. You are such a lovely person and I would cherish having you as a friend.
Thank you so much! I am so floored by everyone's kindness and warmth. I absolutely adore what I do and sharing it with others is the cherry on top. And I love our community of gardeners. I feel like we're all fast friends.
I just watched your video from your presentation and I thoroughly enjoy every minute. The first order of business is to create the spreadsheet. I plan to add one more column...the color of the plant/flower. This will help me put all of your suggestions to work in perfect color harmony!!!
Love this! I make mood boards for each season and bring them with me to the nursery when I shop... I'm such a visual person! I'm thrilled you enjoyed it.
Oh my! This is an amazing presentation! So much valuable and realistic information!! You are a fabulous presenter. I can’t wait to watch this again tomorrow. I watched it on my iPad today, and need to watch it on my tv screen tomorrow. I need to study this! Thanks, Janey, for introducing me to Hello Garden!
Fantastic! Thank you so much for the design tips and inspiration. Your style of presenting information is so enchanting and sensible. Such great, useful tips for the home gardener. I have no doubt I will be singing "head and shoulders, knees and toes" as I walk about my garden. You certainly have a new fan girl follower in me! Thank you Janey @DigPlantWaterRepeat for the introduction!
Fabulous presentation! It hit all the marks for information, inspiration, and moderate (not over-the-top) injection of personality/enthusiasm/humor. I absolutely loved it. I will refer to it over and over and will share it with my garden friends. Many thanks!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Wow, I love the way you broke this down in simple steps! You are a gifted teacher, and even though I live in Iowa (5b), i am even more excited for spring! Took lots of notes and jotted down ideas for my gardens. I heard about your channel watching Janey. I've subscribed and am looking forward to gleaning from you too! Blessings!
Thank YOU for subscribing and following along! Iowa is beautiful and full of the most wonderful people. Can’t wait to make more videos for you all! Janey and I have another special collab coming out tomorrow. Stay tuned!
Fabulous presentation! I found you on Janies channel. Looking forward to learning from you. I just moved from MI zone 6A to FL 9A. I have so much to learn and sure would love to bring my MI garden with me but know most things don't work here. Tulips in pots! Yeah! Cheers!
I wanted to be at this years PNWFG show, but the Snoqualmie Pass wasn’t cooperating with my plans. Thank you so much for recording this talk and beautiful presentation. “Head, shoulder, knees and toes” will be my new motto for planning. At 78, it is always great to be inspired in the garden, even though it seems so far to the ground now. Ha. Keep up sharing your enthusiasm, gardening is the most exciting hobby that is never finished. Thanks to Janey at Dig, Plant, water and repeat for sharing your UA-cam.
I thought that was brilliant too! And I realized that even if you keep going in the song, our gardens can serve there too (eyes and ears and mouth and nose…) 😊
Oh bummer! Sometimes the weather simply doesn’t want to cooperate. But I’m thrilled to share my seminar and tours! I have more content from the show coming up so stay tuned!
This is EXCELLENT! I've been working on building my garden out this way (I think about my garden design by month) but this "roadmap" is so helpful to flush my thought process out. THANK YOU

I've taken away several gardening tips that I desperately needed, the spreadsheet of bloom times. I hesitate to use grasses because of snakes in South Carolina love to hind in them. I'd have to trim them half way up so I could see the bottom. 😅 I also can't have hosta because of deer. So I opt for brunnera.
