I’ve been hauling car trailers, small camper, my big ass toy hauler my rzrs etc but damn this feature is so simple and easy to uses. Some people only tow every year sometimes years in between so all the “pros” talking shit cause they haul everyday need to shut up and realize not every one live in a truck with a trailer hooked to it 😂
Nice feature! I operate a diesel yard mule with a 5th wheel for work so I'm a pro at backing 53' trailers all day, but this would definitely save my neck from twisting around trying to get a good view of my surroundings.
Curious as to size and weight of your camper. We have a 30ft about 6k pounds. Wondering how the TRX tows it. We should be taking delivery next week sometime
I have a 2021 Ram 1500 Big Horn with this feature and it does NOT work. At all. It won't calibrate. The dealer and RAM's own technicians have been trying playing with the system for months. One of the things they noted is that the trailer's color and propane tanks might be the problem. But I have to note that your trailer looks almost exactly like mine -- same color scheme. And I've tried this feature with several other tailers. And we can't get it to work.
Calibration for the trailer is easy. You just need to drive a short distance make a 90 degree turn, drive a little more, one more 90 degree turn and it should pop up telling you it is good to go.
Watched a video with a bunch of comments from people going, "if you need this, you shouldn't be trailering!" Thank you for making those people look like @$$holes lol
Been backing trailers and have a Cdl since I was 20. I’m not so old school that I can’t accept new tech. I have a long driveway and it’s really nice looking out my driver mirror and backing 6 mph with 2 fingers 😂
Now no one will have to experience the absolutely rage inducing frustration of trying to back a trailer. What a time to be alive.

Great video, I was curious as to how this option worked. Looks like I will definitely add this to my order. Thanks

I know you prob tried this but make sure you are in park and follow the instructions by the book to activate it.
Control Algorithms gets improve @ second half of 2021, probably that's why
Did you have to calibrate the trailer first?Im still waiting on my trx.
