Midnight Club 2 - Farid #13

Farid is the last racer we left before we face the Paris champion and move to Tokyo. There are three races overall in which the two are easy the one can be quite challenging. The positive thing in those races is that there is only one opponent.

Race 1 - 0:15
The first race with Farid is nothing special. You may have a few troubles in the catacombs until you get used to it but in the end you should face no problem. You can take the lead from the beginning and keep till the end of the race.

Race 2 - 2:55
Second race is about losing the cops. Nothing too special, nothing hard.
Just keep driving around the checkpoint and finish the race when you have lost them.

Race 3 - 4:27
Now this race can give you lots of trouble. Despite the fact that you are facing only one racer, your opponent seems to drive extremely fast. No matter how far ahead you may be, he will soon catch you up and surpass you. This all seems very weird since the car he is using is Victory and it doesn't seem to be anything special. The route in the end is full of strange tight corners which will definitely decide the race. You need a vehicle with good acceleration and handling.

Victory is one of the prettiest cars in MC2, that and quite a few more cars from Paris.
but i'm just a sucker for 90-00's Astons so it ranks quite high in my list.

@@Victor_2000s That's sort of expected for old Astons, to be honest. It wasn't until the mid-late 2010s where they started making sports-oriented rides like the modern Vantage.

Going back here to say that I still wished Tokyo had a Euro car tied to it just cause I always found it jarring all the European cars are in Paris or earlier (though I guess it's less jarring than a Viper being worse off than Euro compacts). Yeah I know, Japan means "Jay dee em" but I feel like there could have been one dude in Tokyo with a heavily tuned 930, Diablo, Countach, or Pantera (I think Ken'ichi could have used the unused SLF400 or that one cut Diablo-inspired car as a second vehicle, maybe as a nod to someone like Shinichi Morohoshi or Walter Wolf; he's also yakuza guy, after all, so it makes sense for him to flaunt wealth with a foreign supercar).

Second race, you could literally bee line it left and up by the apartments, nos on the way up and you should be able to lose them and finish in bout 15 secs
