I am with you on destashing... it's not for me. I love that others do it although I've never actually purchased from one yet. I have roughly 1000 mainstream (I keep them in boxes.. terrible I know) and roughly 650 indies (kept in 2 helmers) and I've definitely noticed that since I've started buying indies (Nov 2020) certain colors that I wasn't impressed with when I initially received it, I tend to enjoy it at some point down the road. Every order I get, there tends to be 1 or 2 that I'm like "meh" so I'll put them in a small box and twice a year I'll revisit the box and will end up really enjoying a lot of them.. so I can't imagine getting rid of any of them!
I've got just over 500 bottles and guessing about 60% came from destashes, I don't do deal or no deal or auctions and I try to keep my purchase price between $5-7. I'm going on a no buy for 2023, wish me luck.
Excellent course on NP 101. Bc I feel I can dupe much with what I have, I'm not a destasher or a buyer of destashed. I like to work with what I have and buy polishes that are super special (Grandpa's Garden, for ex). Thanks, Britt
Starbucks! As far as a place to meet sellers and get paid….I’ve used Starbucks as a meetup for years for Craigslist items. I live in the NW and there are Starbucks’ everywhere.
Thanks for another informative video! On destashing- I'm a 100% with you....I never destash anything as long as I'm into that hobby..and my collection has already passed 2000 polishes.... I don't even give away polishes from my collection that I don't really like as a present to close people, if I want to give someone a polish I just buy it anew😅😅...
Thanks for this video; it's very informative. I've never bought or sold destashed nail polish. I only have about 200 polishes; when I have one I don't like or realize I have a dupe I like better, I give it to my nieces, who are getting into the nail polish scene. I might buy from a destash if I found one I REALLY wanted at a reasonable price (from a trusted seller, of course). I do agree the post office is scary; there is a florist close to me that has a post office window inside, and that is where I usually go. Sadly, they are closing, and I'll have to go to the ACTUAL post office, which is not a pleasant thought.

I give my polishes away or even throw them away if I have to. Your links are very helpful.. I have purchased mystery bags from Colores De Carol on occasion and love to indulge in those from time to time although I usually have many of the revealed polishes or something similar..it’s the thrill of finding that one polish that is interesting that I don’t have . Thank you for putting so much effort into presenting all the different aspects of destash transactions. Very appreciated…great job!

Great tips all around! I would just add, if you decide to meet in person do it at the police station...ALWAYS! I would not meet at the mall, coffee shop etc. Just find a police station in between you two and everyone is happy!
I've only "destashed" one polish so far that was a dupe I got in a mystery bag, but that was through my Instagram story with someone asking me for it when I said it was a dupe. I have another dupe from a different mystery that I have yet to advertise, the PPU BST had me nervous for some reason, not being use to posting for sale items through FB Marketplace. Luckily my signif has done reselling and I sell art items on Etsy, so packaging and shipping feels less of a hassle when it happens. Currently I have no need to actively destash polishes, a little over a year into collecting I don't feel like I've had enough time to sit with the polishes I have. I do need to think about storage, I currently have over a dozen just sitting on my desk as I have no storage to put them in at the time. I do want to be more... cautious? aware? careful? with my polish spending this coming 2023. Sort of sit down with myself and what I want from the nail polish hobby to be more conscious of what I purchase.

Both of your jobs rn when you exposed then not paying you enough 👁👄👁 Last yr towards the end I started to buy from destashers. Mostly from insta and 1 from FB, thankfully the buyers I bought from are amazing. Tho the first time I bought a destash one of the bottles broke, the owner gave me a discount the next time I order from them :)
Being afraid of the post office is what keeps me from destashing and selling things online too 😅 there has to be a name for it! Why are we like this?! 😂 I am now VERY extra grateful for the Orly giveaway. You are braving the PO for me! 🫶 📦
USPS has online services and you can schedule a pick up at your house. All you need to do is measure and weigh your packages and you can print out a sticker for each one. It's super easy. No post office visits necessary. 💗
Our local police station has parking spots for Internet purchase exchanges. Most others probably do too. Safe and recorded and easy to find.
