- Heller CNC Machines are the epitome of DESTRUCTIVE machining.
Real-world aerospace parts, as seen at Blue Origin, and other crucial industry leading parts machined on the Heller CP 6000 and the Heller HF 5500 with Kennametal tooling and Schunk vices using advanced 5-axis techniques.

I am a 16 year old learning machining and that video shows me that i did not make a mistake with choosing my carrer path. Thank you guys
me here wanting to be a 3d artist now programming cam
As a machinist, i can tell you that the jobs these guys have make this trade look glamorous. Its not. If youre good or lucky you will get into a shop like this. Maybe. Be prepared to not live this kind of life. If you enjoy machining, absolutely, do it. But make sure you do it well because if you dont, you will be disappointed.
As a professional custom cutting tool manufacturer, welcome to the industry. I make the tools that cut your parts and holding the work of art that came out of my machine before I dip it and ship it is very rewarding. It's like giving an artist paint, my art will help another make art.
Just remember to be humble and admit to yourself you will never know everything in this industry. If you always keep this attitude you will find that you will always be learning and finding challenges to overcome! Then when you grow old and are ready to rest, teach your skills to kids like you.
Cheers,
"Kevin" (not my real name) ;)
@LawsofPhyzix is absolutely right here. I’m in my early 30’s and have been doing this since I was just shy of 19. The best thing I can add that you can do, in my opinion, is if you are working somewhere and you feel like you have stagnated on growing and learning and your place of employment is unwilling to allow you to branch out, move on to another shop. I have been at this current shop for 5 years and I am 1 of 2 people who are allowed to do setups and 1 of 3 people who are allowed to do first piece inspections on second shift.. That last pace I was at I was a setup guy on menial jobs and a button pusher mostly. I found something better. If you have a thirst for knowledge and growth you must keep moving on when necessary.
It's not rocket science, but you could make big money holding tight tolerances for NASA
Chip Angels! That's what we're here for :)
I am in fact, very entertained !!!
What a banger of a video 💯🔥
Great video! 🔥👍
Awesome video!!
I am definitely entertained.
Haha love it! Nice job you guys
Do you go through more tooling at high speed like this? Entertaining, but is it cost effective? Curious to know.
that's a calculation of value of time, lets say the tooling is $0.10 per part at 1 part per hour and each part is $100,or tooling is $0.25 per part at 10 parts per hour. Rethink tool costs.
Throughput
Not if you use the correct speeds and feeds. They push it to the absolute limit whereas if you were doing production you’d back it off a bit to protect the tool. Another thing is a lot of the tooling they use is so expensive you’d be better off just running something cheaper but a bit slower. For example the KOR 5 end mill by itself is $500 per end mill and that’s not including the custom tool holder that you need which I’m sure is at least $1000 but probably a lot more
alot of us were expecting the syil video today. why havnt you guys cut with it yet? we know heller can cut material
Dont worry, we have! The first video is coming very soon, and its awesome!
@@barrysetzer awesome barry!
Posting on Tuesday

I came for the chip angel! That machine is biblical!
Where’s the solid cam partnership video😮
My dream start a furniture factory from 🇧🇩.

They also make machines in Troy Michigan.
@@TITANSofCNC Thank you for the information.
Entertainment, not reality.
