Great video. Thank you
You're welcome Neil, thanks for watching :) Don't forget to subscribe!
I need a lie down after watching that! Possibly your best video in a superb location! Thanks.
I needed a lie down after some of those climbs 🤣 Thank you I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for watching 👍
Hey buddy. Looks a good trail centre. Sounds like you got a good calorie burn on that one, especially in that heat. Looking forward on Saturday to see how many miles you got in round there. Looks like a fair bit. Great video again mate and catch you Saturday.
Hey Si, those hills! Or so I thought - todays 'Enduro' group ride at Haldon was short but much more horrible climbs. Dead legs tomorrow! Got a few miles in this week so hoping for a good weigh-in tomorrow 😜
Visited this site a few days ago with my 8yo son, he struggled with the uphill parts, ended up mainly pushing his bike up. We both enjoyed the blue trail but didn't try the reds. We will be doing them next visit. Took us around 1.5 hours to get round with a couple of rest stops.
Hey Neil, I had to push up some bits! Nice scenery though so all good :) Thanks for watching !
i know it from cornwall good riding spot
Yeah, I mean it is not the best but it is a nice place to go and ride 👍
yeah i live in st ives so not far from me and yeah its a good spot for a quick blast around on the e-bike especially on the ups lol
I bet it helps on the up no end, which must be nice as I don't find Cardinham very flowy !
So which trail would you say is the harder and funner one?
Hey Morgan, gotta be the Blue, Bodmin Beast.. Unless you are desperate I'd dodge the red sections as they are just a bit dull and Hell's Teeth has a horrible push (or ride) up to the top.. I find the blue though is not very flowy but makes a great cross country ride. Don't expect to find any interesting features. In my opinion Haldon Forest is much better, or if you want air time head to Old Hill Bike Park just up the road (See my other vids) as Old Hill is excellent 👍
Is there any decent off piste yet?
All I ever see are strava-wanker short cuts which don't seem to get shut down but anything else does.
Back in the day before the trail centre there were some good trails in there, more challenging than the main trail now anyway.
I've not seen any evidence. You sound like you might be local so you'll be aware of the better stuff at Haldon/cafe side. Grogley Woods too perhaps?
@@mtbtomfoolery I love Grogley/Hustyns/Bishops. Was supposed to be going there today but it got late and funnily enough we ended up at Cardinham for the first time in ages.
I tend to be a bit harsh on the place but had a great ride there today despite the greasiness for much of the loop.
Whereabouts are you to?
I hear you - I don't find it very flowy at Cardinham. All those other places are on my list of places to visit. I'm up near Bude.
@@mtbtomfoolery Do it! There's so much there you'd struggle to see it all in a day. I'm sure there's stuff I haven't found yet.
I'm down Launceston so there's a fair bit within a 40 minute driving radius which is nice.
Is Dept26 still going? I keep meaning to look into it but never seem to find the time.
Yes I am still exploring as much as I can but the list keeps getting longer. We are lucky. Dept 26 is still going, though not as active due to Covid I believe. I went on a group ride with them a while back, they have some nice woodland that they rent, some good trails in there. I actually live a few miles outside of Holsworthy. 👍
The parking situation is easy contactless etc now
That's handy to know.
Wow, that looks tiring! Haha, I’m getting tired just watching 😂
It was! Thanks for watching 👍
