i tried this and it was mostly a success (this was my first time making trousers) i would say make sure you have enough fabric from the crotch to your waist, mine came out at around my hips. i should have just made the leg length shorter to give myself more fabric to get a more high waisted finish. overall i would recommend they're comfy and easy to make.
