SO. MANY. SHRIMP!!!! I am so excited and cannot wait to get into the other bins to see what we got! I already have a borderline tragic case of MTS. Now, I am developing MTTS (Multiple Tank and Tub Syndrome) thanks to this video. I dont think I can recover from this.
I had bought some red rillis off of Ebay last year. Thought they had all died when I moved them to another tank. Well a couple turned into about a hundred and still multiplying. They are so cool to watch. They live with ancistris and mystery snails. I call this my Rachel O'Leary tank.
Wahooo, that's one heck of an amount of shrimp that multiplied in those awesome summer tubs! I'm sure that was an amazing and wonderful surprise! It was delightful watching how many you got out and how well your sensitive plants did as well! Congrats, I think you definitely deserve it! You went through a lot this summer, I hope this is the silver lining on your cloud! I'd love to see how your fish did in your tubs this summer! Can't wait to see it! Happy to see Joey challenged you to put out more vids! Happy to see them! Thank you, happily watching!
As I am a recent convert to shrimp (6 mo), I started with 20 wild type and now have over 300. (When I moved them from my 10g quarantine tank to their 15g tank 2 months ago, my wife caught and counted - was 240 then!) I am so addicted to watching these critters scurry about and dine off the Java fern and subwassertang. My wife wants more and bigger tanks of them. Always a joy to see your greenhouse adventures!
So.. you need to make a recording of that rain sound just exactly like you were recording here (minus the blurpy bubbly sounds), at least a half hour, and do a long vid of endlers just swimming around, with just that sound in the background. I'd have that on loop all the freakin time. That was one of the best rain sound I've ever heard, and I actively look for nice rain sounds for relaxation and sleep.
Wow! What an amazing haul. What a great job of setting them up in the greenhouse. You should be super proud of those shrimp, fat and sassy and healthy, oh yeah!
WOW! That is an amazing number of shrimp from just 30, and with so little work. Dang. And still a bunch of little guys out in the greenhouse. I am just plain totally blown away lol. But yeah, you have to try to bring that berserk sensitive plant inside for the winter. I have a feeling it's second cousin to Seymour's flytrap.
Yay! So excited for you to get all those shrimp!! The Cherries I got from you earlier in the year have been great, and I look forward to getting blues from you in the future. Can't believe what a difference it made having them inside this year, definitely worth it to put them in the greenhouse. Yes, to potentially more species out there next year, maybe some green babaulti shrimp.
I will definitely be ordering some of the blue shrimp when your store it back up! I love your summer tubing series especially with the added greenhouse tubs. And I love the idea of doing all shrimp on the bottom in the greenhouse!
I love your video and how much passion you put and transmit to us. You made me thinking that there is a worldwide community that loves nature and simple things like breeding shrimp, things that other people can’t understand . So the goal this year with the tubs was tu put them into the green house and using the Israel’s bacterium BTICE? Thank Rachel and continue like usual
Wow so many shrimp! You got more from your tubs in one season than I have in my tank and its been over a year! Thanks for the video, I feel like your style is very conversational. There was one point where saw the orbee thing in the cup and almost said outloud "uht oh there is something icky in your cup" but I stopped b/c I realized you couldn't hear me. Then you scooped it out anyways = )
*wow loved this video! soooo entertaining, EVERY second of it & you’re very likeable! also, there’s just something about shrimp that I love to see in videos lol idk why... the colorations etc so unique!!! you look like you have put a TON of money, Time & effort into your collections from just this video alone!*
Awsome little creatures, i have cherries growing in 3 different tanks, just love my shrimp. What i need now is to get me some of those yellows and blues those colors are sweet. Thanks for sharing, love the green house.
Beautiful Colours too !!!! You must be SO PROUD with that many shrimp in your summer tubs 😮 ! Beautiful Colours too, with no real care. Loved the video 👊👊 Glad your trying to take care of that knee, still a long way to recovery . Take care , lovely to see you so happy with your haul, at least all that hard bending work was worth it.
That was amazing to watch!!! Definitely need to do this on a higher volume next year. When something works this well. Go for it. If for nothing more than a back-up in case of another year like you've had this year. I'm curious to see how many more you get. This was one of those videos i couldn't look away from. Love that!😄😄
Looks so cozy in a day like this while it rains outside. I would have brew a cup of hot coffee with me and than take my own sweet time in the green house. Congratulate for the "shrimpful" harvest. Turn your green house into Shrimp farm, no sweat for you.
Wow! How exciting! I did a summer pond for the first time and it was a great experience ! I got a good amount of Platys, white clouds, and guppies from just a small handful of fish. Maybe next year I’ll try shrimp too!
Thanks for making that video Rachel I always assume shrimp would do well in tubs been discussing this with a friend of mine she totally disagrees with me so I can't wait to show her your video congratulations on your production to that was really something I don't think I've seen that many of those kinds of shrimp come out of one tub ever love what you do please keep doing it thanks again
Your shrimp are all beautiful, if my tank was set up , I would ask to buy some of yours because they look so much nicer thN the ones I was looking at the other day at a pet store After I saw what the had and how they looked, I stopped setting up my tank . I miss having my shrimp at one time they were all I had . I had six tanks of nothing but shrimp and in different colors. And I miss it . 😣 So for me yes I think you should do more shrimp tanks. Loved the video and hope your well soon , but it takes time . But keep up the great work. Because they are beautiful shrimp and all the colors were so bright. Great job
Would you attempt to move out some of the micro crabs next year since the shrimps seemed to have done so well? So happy for you that your shrimp experience has yielded you such amazing results!
this reminds me of that small 4x2x2 meter pond I have under a mango tree behind my house. I forgot I had a pond there and 5 guppies with 10 red cherry shrimps. 5 months later BOOM! I couldn't see the bottom of the pond only a carpet of red bodies. :D
Way to go! I did Bloody Marys but I had them with guppies, white clouds and rice fish. I didn’t actually pull them but I don’t think I had many. I want to see if they can survive a Long Island winter!
Babieeees... oh theyre so cute! I can't wait for my first little cherries to reproduce. Im a total newbie so ive run into some little troubles. But I persevere! Shrimp must go on!
AMAZING!!! and YES please do the whole bottom row of Shrimp, and maybe work with wild types please, maybe micro crabs will even breed out there for you
this film is simply AWESOME! checked out your channel, and i keep wondering where has this been all my life! new subscriber here! I'm trying to put a pretty big and test size aquaculture with aquaponics together. I know it can be done. you hold part of the key I'm trying to make too, thank you R.
Wow that's a TON of little shrimps !!!!!! .. :-D .... WHAT do you use them for to feed your fish? :-0 .... I Wonder if they could be of benefit to plants in an Aquaponics system?
I cannot believe that you didn’t even feed them and they had a population explosion. So exciting! Yes to all of the lower level bins being shrimp next year!
1st time watching you! Trying to learn as much as possible. My 11 cherry shrimp had babies so I've got little ok ones floating all around. I'm proud! I heard you mention Poly filter. What is that? Guess I will google it to see why you said it. I will be moving on to the next of your videos. Thanks for being so informative!!

How the worms get in
I already have a borderline tragic case of MTS. Now, I am developing MTTS (Multiple Tank and Tub Syndrome) thanks to this video. I dont think I can recover from this.
First step is accepting you have a problem hahaha
2nd step, get another tank.:)
3rd step, dig a pond !
4th step, (Joey). Start an ocean in your back yard.
Same here, I'm already on my second tank and will be moving bins outside next summer. The addiction is real.
I love the sound of the rain on the greenhouse roof!
Your videos made me come back to the fishkeeping hobby. Thank you!!
I never heard of raising shrimp this way. What a brilliant idea! I would love to try it. They look so awesomely healthy and vibrant colours.
I had bought some red rillis off of Ebay last year. Thought they had all died when I moved them to another tank. Well a couple turned into about a hundred and still multiplying. They are so cool to watch. They live with ancistris and mystery snails. I call this my Rachel O'Leary tank.
That is amazing! Really inspires me to get into shrimp. Also, the Red Lobster ads for "endless shrimp" has to be the best ad tie-in on UA-cam. 😁
Ha! That is hilarious
I have really been enjoying the daily videos....I know it takes time but thanks
Amazing! Glad they did SO well for you this year. Gotta love the screenhouse! All shrimp below sounds like an excellent plan
That's a Haul and a Half!! FANTASTIC! Great start for your New Season. Fish and Shrimp Pimp!

Holy heck! This is phenomenal, what a success. Hundreds of happy shrimps :)

Last year little to no shrimp yield and now its booming! Great vid Rachel!

Roel Veenema appreciate the suggestion! Only so much I can hear on Spotify till it becomes repetitive.
Congratulations on the awesome yield! Man, moving those shrimp in was quite the endeavor but well worth it. 👍
So good to see you have such super success with your shrimp after this very stressful year. Hope for more good things coming.
