The Breezer sport is designed and manufactured by German aerospace company, Breezer aircraft. This is one of their 5 models of light aircraft. All Breezer aircraft are powered by rotax engines, from 80 horse power all the way up wot 141 horse power. What sets the sport model aside is that it comes with a retractable landing gear which gives it an edge in performance.
Have any questions about the aircraft or interested in buying one? Contact myplane@mojogrip.net
A special focus is the retractable landing gear which is metal made in Germany. It is lightweight, safe and efficient. The tapered wings on the Breezer sport are new in all aspects from profile to main spar. This is now a centre spar in a centre section up to the landing gear. The wings as such are shorter and are attached to the main section left and right. To support low speed behavior, new developed flaps provide enough lift.
The Breezer Sport can be powered by the Rotax-engines 912 ULS and 912 iS. The cowling is adopted to generate less drag and allow large openings for coolants or intercooler.

I love your videos on everything general aviation aircraft. I'm a retired vet and hope to get my pilots license as soon as I get the money. Your videos keep my interest and keep me working towards my goal. I hope to join you in the skies someday. Thank you and keep them coming. Much respect.
Hang in there. I just got my sport certificate last month. Took two years and a plane crash, but I did it.

Mike, hello from April 2021. You're one of the many youtubers I lost track of last year, even though I caught some of your vids. Mind was elsewhere lol. I am glad you've been plugging away on your projects all this time though. I can't imagine getting to (or really, home from) the US until 2022 but I hope our paths cross at some point. Your attitude and what you bring out of the people who chat to ... it's been a lovely thing to see mate.
This channel is awesome. Learning a lot! Thanks!
Mike keep us updated on this. Looks interesting. I’d like to know more. 👍
Another great video. Thank you for helping me discover what is out there that I don’t know about.
I probably watched at least 20 videos, then realized I should subscribe. Thanks for the videos, eventually I'll make my sound decision on plane purchase.
Looks like it has excellent visibility out to the side. Nice little plane.
I'm loving your videos. I'm thinking about taking a flight class in North Texas (DFW). I'm feeling this Breezer Sport
Another great video Mike, glad to see that your plane is in the paint stage. If I may suggest a plane for you to feature, would be the Flying Ledgends USA Tucano Replica. This is the plane I have chosen. Sorry to hijack this video of also a very sweet airplane, but was unsure of where post suggestions.
Almost looks like a mini SlAl Marchetti SF260. Very well done video!
I was thinking the same thing before I read your comment.
Exactly what I thought too, and wondering if it perform as the SF260
Looks like a Sequoia Falco as well, both of them are Stelio Frati's designs!
@@Lemev Yes the Falco was the first thing it reminded me of. You couldn't pick better aircraft to imitate!
no sir, the pioneer300 is the little brother of ths sf260. pls. take a look.... ua-cam.com/video/PpU4TmPjUX4/v-deo.html
Nice little aircraft, loved the video, well done
Professionnel video. The plane is well designed, light but powerful enough to provide good sensations at takoff/landing and mainly in sky. Good luck Breezer Sport for the futur.
Very nice airplane, good lines, I like it.
Love it! Want one for Christmas, please!
Good looking plane. The outward visibility must be awesome, nice big canopy
I have been enjoying your last few vids on the awesome light sport ,and sport planes on the market....just wish they were not so expensive.
Is there an available option for bomb attachment points on the wings?
Another cool video Mr. MojoGrip! What a beautiful airplane! Would you please, give me your thoughts on this modern sport aircraft versus say a Grumman American? Is there any real comparison do you think or is the Breezer sport simply the winner hands down? Thank you!
Beautiful and very streamlined little airplane.
Great vid, very nice little plane.
What a gorgeous aircraft !!
Beautiful plane!
Does it come without a training wheel under the engine?
Super cool light aircraft.
Great video! Great aircraft!
Good content as usual 👍
What a beautiful airplane!!
at 1:55 looks like it has a symmetrical wing airfoil!
That is one nice looking aircraft 👍
Beautiful plane

Cost. What’s the power plant to aerobics rated. Speeds. Where can I get more info
Wow! A retract! 140 hp.. very nice! I estimated about 140 mph.. pretty close!
146 knots according to their website.
An I have yoke control in this a/c ?
Looks really nice.
Mike Z was the U.S. distributor for Breezer some years ago in Plant City Florida, but no longer, is there a new U.S. rep?
Mike Z has a couple vids out even flew one to the Bahamas.
I have a little over 50 hours in a LSA model and I think it does pretty well ( 120MPH cruise all day long ) but if I was to criticize anything it would be parts availibility, even something like a landing light might have to be shipped from Germany, is this still the case with the newer models?
Mike, I fly out of Plant City. Mike Z is now over at Lakeland as an instructor for the school there. I see him from time to time and I'll ask if knows the new distributor. He actually flew a Breezer down to the Bahama's about 5 or 6 times as I recall.
@@thomaswilson3437 Is Mike Z doing LSA training out of LAL, that's where I was flying out of. Would be very interested in doing some instruction with Mike Z but could not locate any other LSA schools at Lakeland.
It's a nice looking plane. Kind of expensive though for basically a single person aircraft.
I noticed 2 seats.
@@denniscrabtree2170 That's because there were 2 seats...lol
did I miss the price?
Nice craft.
Just thought there would be 200 Mph or better in this design.
Especially with the turbo 915.
beautiful aircraft great ramp presence no doubt. However, I don't know anything about it's handing capabilities or reliability. Will they be around for the next 5 -10 years anyone's guess is as good as mine. That's why if I'm going to own non-certified aircraft it's going to be a VANS RV #. Any other airplanes out there to be a serious consideration?
❤Made in Germany 🇩🇪
Have you seen the reliability ratings of German vehicles? It's not very encouraging. With that said, I own 2 VW Golfs MK7's. Enjoyable to drive, but don't expect good reliability.
German's are awesome engineers!

wish you would have defined the differences between the Sport or LSA .... since you mention it as being different
Hi, as far as i know about the US LSA regulations, it is not allowed to have a retractable landing gear. In Europe we also have a EU LSA class but retractable landing gear is allowed.. These are the differences between the two versions. Greetings from Germany
🤘💪👍Beautiful plane! Want one🤘
Is there any cargo space for luggage of any sort and what’s the cost os these Breeze aircraft?
The UL-Version starts at 90K, the LSA starts at 120k, both plus Tax. There is enough Space for Cargo, one of the best benefits of this Plane
Very nice airplane! 🇩🇪
Gotta wonder if this could qualify as a complex aircraft under FAA regs? Would love to see this around flight schools in the US
(Edit Referencing working towards CPL. I can’t imagine this thing should run more than $100/hr. Of course, excluding some flight schools obscene markups)
A complex aircraft under FAA, also needs to be IFR certified. The Breezer is VFR only.
Nice plane
Awesome looking craft. Only thing I wouldn't like is: the sun beating down on me through that glass canopy. :^/ Even if the bubble makes it look a bit like a late-WWII Mustang. :^>
How much?
I LOVE it!
Brother, love your content always but one little thing if I may; would you please consider pronouncing that word at 0:47-0:49 with a stricter articulation? I hate missing any of your points and I just didn’t get what you said. Thanks, again for a wonderful channel and your awesome personality.

Good video
Wow, that is eye-watering expensive. No wonder GA is on the way out.
For the amount of seating to the mileage compared to the price, that super expensive and I personally would not buy it. If it were a fully renovated Piper Cherokee 6? Hell yes I would buy that for the price.
Where is the price indicated? I must have missed it
Beautiful bird! Better lines than Madonna in her heyday!
Madonna had a heyday lol?

Makes me want to go back to the '70s obtain some smarts about the stock market (Dow 30 now) then come forward and buy one cash.

Mike, thank you for your videos which are so well made and enjoyable. I have a question for you. If I was to choose between a used Lancair 320 and a brand new Breezer with a 915 Rotax, what would you suggest?
Depends on your budget and mission. Also are you a low time pilot?
the breezer its new and have a rotax, only for this is a very good option, and think that the 320 is not an easy to fl airplane,it requires long runaways and its comes so fast on the approach
LSA is quite different in Europe than the USA. This plane would not qualify because they are too fast. Many limits apply to what airframes are considered “light sport.” Primarily, they can only have two seats, cannot weigh more than about 1,300 pounds at takeoff, and cannot fly more than 120 knots.
I’m impressed, great planes
Oh, HELL YA!
only bad thing about this plane is the canopy as your gonna get hot really easily and probably sun burnt lol
You can say this from any bubble canopy, starting with the P51 Mustang. And the list adds on ...
Hello men i am from the land of origin #Ethiopia i wont some help from you i start make light aircraft use 100 HP yamha boot moter bu i cant gate propeller if you have a way how i can buy from please leave website or some thing reply please men
Interesting, has a mustang feel to it.
Some Me-108 ques in there
Hoping for US rule changes that would open up retractable options. Composite construction on this plane looks great and sounds pricey.
I just wish you could get more speed and get instrument certified.
Great
What I love most about this plane is that it sounds terrible! Brilliant! Cheers mates!!
Do they sell kits or it’s a certified planes? Do they certified in States?
If it is approved in Germany, it should also be approved in the United States without any problems. Because the German requirements are very high. The problem in Germany is more if you get an airplane from the USA or a car and want to allow it here, you have to retrofit a lot of the security technology and so on. Because the German authorities set a high level of security and technology. However, I find the specified breezer for 160,000 usd very expensive for an ultralight aircraft or in the USA as LSA. if you think about what an American company is currently building like the Raptor aircraft, breezer can pack up in terms of price-performance ratio.
It is not certified in Germany as a Cessna. It is a UL class up to 600kg approved, which is national approved. In the US retractable gears not allowed in this spectrum of US LSA. Check Bristell in the US. And avoid Blackwing.
@@GyrocopterGirl The approval or classification of the category of an aircraft in the USA has nothing to do with whether it has a retractable landing gear, or does it or does it? That would be very stupid from the American authorities. There is even a section or a regulation in the USA that even without a pilot's license one may fly certain aircraft that do not exceed a certain speed and altitude without a license.
Dennis Anonym LSA in U.S.A 600kg, of Not Inteded on water, 120kt cas, vs1 max 45kt, 2seats , fixed or ground adjustable propeller and fixed landing gear. Dennis, I never said, ...it depends...on whatever you pretend I wrote. Please read my comment again.;-) Breezer Sport , with retractable gears, would need to go as a experimental (building kit) if possible from Breezer in the US. Because the approval in Germany till 600kg does not mean much for the FAA ;-) as it is not certified and the process to get it certified in the USA, Breezer will not pay and probably is not able to pay by its own
@@GyrocopterGirl A friend of mine flew into the USA in his UL Pioneer 300 and there were no problems with the FAA. the aircraft has a retractable landing gear. When he landed on the east coast, there was someone there who looked at the aircraft, but was exceptionally impressed by the high safety standard and what the German ultralight aircraft can do, he found no reason to complain. he flew over the route over northern England, Iceland and so on
at first glance, I thought it was a Super Tucano
It's shape reminds me of a P-51.
Me too. I was wondering if I was the only one.
Specialized market.
Seems comparable to the JMB VL-3 evolution.
sweet
That’s a nice looker
Haha, no cloud clearance rules for VFR in Germany? Pretty cool plane, for sure.
Like in the US (part 91.155) if its class G airspace during the day they must remain clear of clouds below 3000 ft amsl in Germany, 1200 ft in the US.
From the view of the camera man it seemed he was in the clouds.
You can tell that you have no idea about the German rules. In Germany you can also fly with an airplane according to the rules above the clouds.
Wasn’t indicated but is classified experimental?
In the US it would be, or maybe and ELSA
MojoGrip what was the cost?
@@barryhuizing2804 - $160k new
very minimum information online for pricing and video about this aircraft.
Nice looking plane. However, LSA's have a very inadequate useful load. Sounds as if they're hoping it sells for Single Pilot use, as mentioned in the video. If so, why the 2 seats?
Useful load depends on the aircraft. Some LSA are lighter then other. Rules will be changing in the coming year or two.
1. Increased speed to 150 knt
2. Constant speed prop
3. Increased weight to 2000 plus MTOW
4. Four place aircraft.
www.bydanjohnson.com/start-the-countdown-four-years-will-bring-huge-changes-to-light-sport-aircraft/
Needs speed brakes Had a Beechcraft V35TC that had speed brakes.. they saved my ass more than once.. otherwise this design looks very common in the experimentals in the USA and I would say that the speed achievable is more like in nautical miles per hour. Good private pilot aircraft, good for flight training, but wear a hat or helmet.. that's a lot of sun exposure and sun-crean for your nose
All the movement in the panel when he turned the key is worrisome.
I had the same thought - up to that point I was pretty impressed.
Shut up, after the first few minutes I find out the plane is made in Germany, I'm sold, say no more fam.

It will be the magical < $50k with 4 hours range, 500 lbs useful, cruises at 120kts of course.

If it says LSA, let's not pretend it wants to go fast.....fly out and do a thorough review of the darkaero 1 - I have a deposit on it
David Pierce Most of them are just a constant speed propeller away from 140-150 knots true.
The fixed gear in and LSA. I think the RG version hits 160 knt (with the 915 iS-14hp) ... Darkaero is a 200 hp engine, faster lighter and a lot more $$$.
