Just subscribed. I love that you took the time to encourage cruise passengers to venture out and visit local small business establishments on the island . I always try to patronize a local small restaurant or pub on most of the islands. They need our cruise dollars desperately especially since they are all struggling after being closed without revenue for so long.
Thanks for the recommendations, when I went in February i did thr culinary tour and they took us to the distillery and we tried conch fritters which were amazing and then they took us to a local restaurant for fried conch, nice to know that there are places close to the ship that I can get some conch on my trip in October.
This series on Nassau is so helpful! I too am one of those people who quit getting of the ship there because I had "seen it all". Looking forward to being there on Independence over Memorial Day weekend!!!
I know it's a year out from this video, but we used this and your walking tour video to wander Nassau. Good suggestions. Didn't make it to everything because it was SO hot, but got to the Queen's stairs and pirates republic. Both worth going to. The service and beer at Republic were fantastic. We'll try the rest the next time we're in Nassau
Hey Nikki and no worries! Glad you g off the ship and experience Nassau!! Yes, in the summer months it can be crazy hot/humid there and isn't much of a walking town. The folks at Pirate's Republic are amazing and always very welcoming!
Bearded Clam is a fun & unique place to drink. Marco, the Manager of Pirate’s Republic, is full of energy & serves you well. Great food & craft beer right at the port area. Ask for the code to the bathroom upstairs B4 U go. Margaritaville is Gorgeous & fun. Thanks Brandon for another great video.

That is awesome Jennifer! Yes, give Nassau a try! You don't have to go far to have a good time. Cozumel is not really my forte. More CocoCay and Nassau for the weekend cruises :-)

I do! It is a bit of a hike, so don't go there much in the summer but all the restaurants I have been there are good! The walk is also nice if not too hot.

Very glad to hear! You will have to let me know how it goes! Men do wear shorts in the MDR, especially if you're doing one of the shorter sailings. On longer seven night sailings you will find more people wearing more formal attire than on a shorter sailing.
Have you cruised with MSC? Just wondering if the port terminal is the same as for Royal in Nassau. This will be my first cruise with MSC. I arrive in Nassau on Tuesday. Perfect timing for your message 👌

It's somewhat personal, but do you hold the Royal Caribbean credit card? If so are there any advantages to having such card? I have a Carnival card, the best useage is for buying a Carnival cruise, which is buy today six months to pay off balance free of incurring any interest. .....

Have booked 3 sailings with RCCL out of Singapore and looking at a forth. All b2b two 3day & two 4Day, it's to much trouble to fly from Phuket Thailand to Singapore for a short sailing, plus the now required testing and per filed paperwork for reentering Thailand. Yes I live in Thailand it is beautiful here.

Sorry, you lost all legitimacy at suggesting the Bearded Clam for eats. Well, unless you prefer your conch salad to be conch-less! I have been served (and subsequently learned similar from others) a "conch salad" completely devoid of ANY conch - simply a pile of diced onion and tomato! When brought to the server's attention they will act as if it is a one-off "mistake" and bring out a few morsels of the sea snail. Unfortunately, this seems to be the de rigueur offering rather than a simple mistake. Fine for tourist-priced beers & drinks, but best to take your culinary desires elsewhere. Hint -- Check out the local offerings along Fish Fry Street, a "restaurant row" of sorts for Nassau residents.

Hey Jason, The first few weeks of December are normally some of the cheapest times to sail! I am on Freedom the first two weekends of December.

Hey there, I do not hold the RCL credit card and am not aware of any promotions it might have. Need feature to the Carnival card though!
FYI - Royal did just roll out a new payment plan option if you use a Travel Agent. Brand new as of today.
