Golden does his absolute best to please and has an immense amount of social IQ and patience, while at the same time having a lot of energy! It’s a rare combination because usually dogs at this energy level would have growled at the puppy early on.

Same thing happened with my 11/2 yr. black lab when we introduced our Pug puppy to our family ! Beau was great when the first 2 hrs, went by. The longer Gus stayed, the more indignant Beau became. He was a concern to me .the look of sheer hate(?) towards Gus caused me to be very watchful. When Beau condescended to look at the pup, I was thinking. ‘’Oh, oh, now what ?”Took a few days before Beau showed the Lab nature !(alright, I’ll tolerate the little squirt!”). They became firm buddies as Gus matured.
That's so cute. Seeing Rocky when he was a puppy and how Bailey was introduced to him was funny. Rocky looks just like my first dog when she was a puppy. Had more than 10 years with her before she passed. Please bring more of Bailey and Rocky. Thanks.

IMHO, in this very brief "reveal", your impossibly cute GSD pup appears to demonstrate some very promising characteristics for what will no doubt be a wonderful future. He's not afraid, is inquisitive, and he not only leans towards Bailey while on your lap to sniff him, but, on his own, actually goes toward Bailey with a wagging tail. GSDs are very vocal, so those little squeaks will eventually turn into all sorts of equally wonderful, deeper and throatier sounds. Just please, please, don't let him jump down, literally until he's about a year, until all growth plates are fully developed, so that any chance of hip, limb issues will be diminished. I'm totally biased, but to me a GSD is THE perfect dog. Congratulations. If you train him, keep his no doubt extremely intelligent mind occupied with all sorts of fun "tasks", you will have a GREAT dog to go with your sweetheart Bailey.

my heart rises. I find it so wonderful that these dearest living dogs everywhere in their home also let their owner sleep for example on the coutch or in bed. Yes dogs are so generous . compassionate love from me

IMHO, in this very brief "reveal", your impossibly cute GSD pup appears to demonstrate some very promising characteristics for what will no doubt be a wonderful future. He's not afraid, is inquisitive, and he not only leans towards Bailey while on your lap to sniff him, but, on his own, actually goes toward Bailey with a wagging tail. GSDs are very vocal, so those little squeaks will eventually turn into all sorts of equally wonderful, deeper and throatier sounds. Just please, please, don't let him jump down, literally until he's about a year, until all growth plates are fully developed, so that any chance of hip, limb issues will be diminished. I'm totally biased, but to me a GSD is THE perfect dog. Congratulations. If you train him, keep his no doubt extremely intelligent mind occupied with all sorts of fun "tasks", you will have a GREAT dog to go with your sweetheart Bailey.

I've had numerous breeds of dogs in my life but the golden retriever is the gentlest kindness animal I've ever met.

Bailey seems to be super excited on meeting someone of his species finally... I think Bailey wants to parent this puppy. That's why he is trying to figure out what he is upto.
Aww there’s no way on this earth that a golden retriever would harm anything let alone a baby pup. They are the sweetest dogs ever - I know because I own one who lives with two free roam house rabbits and a pigeon. Beautiful dogs through and through. ❤️
