Part 2 of 16 - Arcade Fire - No Cars Go at Rock en Seine 2007.

This song make me happy sad, nostalgic, hopeful, optimistic, pessimistic all at the same time.. love it
Today, I replaced a music teacher, who told me to do whatever I wanted with the class (2nd grade lil ones). Since I can't sing, play or teach children how to, I realized that all I could do is teach them genres, music instruments and a tiny bit of history. I went over a lot of music instruments, several genres (like Jazz, Rock, Pop, Classic etc.)- and made a playlist for them to listen, watch, sing along, dance and of course learn. The culmination of the lesson ended with this live performance of my favorite Arcade Fire song, and they recognized all the different music instruments that appeared on stage. I wonder if they will be drawn to good music when they grow up 🙃

this song can touch the heart, I first heard it in 2007 when I was involved with someone from another country, we split up and the emotional charge that has remained in this song, for me, is almost supernatural.. bizarre and fascinating, there is something about the spirit and mystery of this song, and of this band. The inspiration that they had to create this music must have been very deep. It's so beautiful, and forever charged..

Very interesting choice with that Flugelhorn: An obscure instrument in most orchestras, it is even more out of place here. But somehow, it still works!

@naboba Yes, that's why when the first Arcade Fire show in Chicago this year sold out, they had to add another, which sold out in the first hour, and had to add yet another, THIRD, show. Clearly, us people in the states like simplicity and watered down crap.
