What does any of this have to do with being an assassin. Ubisoft should have made a spin off series and based it in the world of Assassins Creed. It used to be about planning for targets to kill, seeking them, and killing them. Now it’s gods and monsters…
The connection is yet to be revieled. These are event of the 1st civilization, but adjusted as percepted by Eivor's mind which cannot perceive 1st civilization technology and has rejected his legacy as Odin.
doubtful, launch trailer for base game was a long time ago and pre-production for all this was even longer ago. Odins story in Asgard hadn't ended yet. We saw everything that starts ragnarok but not the actual event. Both games just happened to be on their Norse saga. Takes way too long to make a game and if they really wanted people to pick that over God of War the Aesir would need to be actually cool
Thanks GLP for this, always enjoy your movies. And it confirmed what I thought not that great a DLC from Ubisoft. Same character bodies from the base game escorting and carrying dwarves about, the story sounded quite boring. I'm waiting for GOW Ragnarok... Keep up the good work

The visions Euvor sees are distorted to fit how he imagines all mythological creatures to look like, because not only does he not understand the technology of the 1st civilization,he also has rejected the horrible and ruthless person that Odin was, as well as his legacy.
The gods don't actually exist in the Assassin's Creed series, they are the Isu (first civilization) that created humanity. ...as a game from Ubisoft, it's..ok, i guess ?! Nothing to do with AC except the thingy on Eivor's left wrist that you can "assassinate" with, climbing like a monkey and the goddam jump that would break at least one bone seeing as the hay it's piled in a cart that you'd smash into, but hey, "suspension of disbelief" ; seriously, what bothers me to no end are these ...dunno, arabs, indians (?) that are sick of dwarfism ?! In the Norse Edda sutr and his allies defeat all of the gods permanently and lay waste to the world so it can be born anew. In all of the modern retellings of his character, people seem to kill him off (assasins creed, eren from attack on titan, probably God of War ragnarok, both Dany and the night King from, game of thrones, aku and ashi from samurai jack) or downplay his totally unstoppable power( marvels thor:ragnarok) and complete destruction of almost everything. I think it'd be a really cool feat to actually do his story proper- so far the closest arc I've seen to anything like it is Kratos of God of War 3, but even that ends with Kratos attempting to kill himself to atone for what he's done. In the Norse Edda, sutr doesn't need to atone for his actions because, and this is obviously hard in a society that claims to be altruistic at face value, he does nothing wrong by destroying the world and killing pretty much everyone. It's a harkening to the resinous cones of the Norwegian pines, which only open from fire. Frequent fires are likely necessary for forest to be healthy, for the old to burn away and the new to grow.. sutr represents something deeper than that- he and his sword represent the forgotten slain, ( lol assassins creed, NOT the reanimated slain) which basically is everything that's been killed and thrown to the side over life's progress. He is the memory of those that everyone else neglected and forgot.
