I cannot afford to buy a house down there. I would have to rent. Looking to leave long island if i can. I am a sales representative for trugreen lawn care. I just got a 9000 dollar yearly raise. I have to see if I transfer to Tampa or oldsmar if I can keep my new York salary. That is key

In tampa there is good demand for lawn care. Due to which You can make lots of money and save because cost of living is low. And great weather & great people.

How? It’s literally one of the only nice places I can move to right now and reduce my cost-of-living even with these interest rates. I figured New York was the same. I’m coming from Chicago.

@@babubalu12Tampa and whole Florida is a low wage state and is not that cheap place anymore with rents up to 1800 to 2000k for 1 bed 1 bath apt I did lawn care and homeowners dont like to pay more than 50 dollars for pesticides treatments, even 4 lawn care pest control companies were sold to a big national Corp

Florida is getting 1,218 new residents per day including immigration. In 10 years time that equates to a city slightly smaller then Orlando, or 444,570 new residents per year. Of course we have to take into account the age of Florida's population and the total deaths per year at 230,000. This brings Florida's net population growth to 214,500 per year. Next we must take into account the number of people leaving Florida for various reasons at 275,000 in 2022 which brings Florida's net population growth to a negative 60,400 population growth at least in 2022. If we add to this equation a recession, then that number would naturally increase. We must also take into account that Florida is a high tourist and snowbird rental market. Hence, my prediction would be around a 30 to 35%

    Good update indeed.
Just one comment: the high interest rates today are NOT because economy is booming, but quite the opposite - they are a clumsy correction to the out of control Fed govm't policy- caused inflation...
