Don't worry, I'm a 37 woman and even my own mom asks me why I'm always so mesmerized or excited with their songs, that they make me vibe in ways she has never seen before. Don't get me wrong, she listened to a few of their songs and likes them, but the way we feel/connect with BTS world can't be forced into others, we just have to enjoy it ourselves without having to explain it. It's something emotional, not rational. It just clicked. You always have us to share this love

Once Boy With Luv was released, I immediately read the translation and I was so amazed how the whole song is dedicated to us, Armies. Especially the "With the wings that you gave me before" part. Always make me choke on my tears. I am actually a sobbing mess right now. I just read a snippet of an interview with BTS where Yoongi said that something along the lines of they are so high in the sky that he is afraid to fall, but when he remembers that Armies gave him his wings, he is still afraind of falling, but not with landing because he got us (non-verbatim, I don't remember what the exact words he said). And it made me remember the lyrics of Boy With Luv and now here I am, a sobbing mess on my living room's floor.
It's SO sweet how they wrote a song for their fans. I don't think I have ever heard of an artist (or artists) doing so. I thought it was just another typically love song, but after this explanation, I realize it is much more than that! Might be a reason why I connect with this song so much.

they’re referencing (pretty obviously) to previous songs and albums but I still need to figure out why/in which context :( if you have any ideas lemme know :)
I have a very detailed thought on this but my brain is all over so my simple theory is this:
All their albums/songs represent where they’ve been, their life journey both within themselves and with army. I feel like the last two you mention or can see, “answer” and “love”. They looked for an answer and found that the answer was love. So yeah all the titles seem to represent some part of their journey and search for the answer.
Haha ok that wasn’t too simple but that’s what I think and how the explanation of this video made me feel. Hope that helps in some way 💜

I am so glad you referenced "Singing in the rain." No one ever talks about it & they went to so much trouble to pay homage to it in that scene.
Two things. I love how they have a bunch of titles of their songs in neon in that scene. And in the movie, the number is called "Gotta dance." Where the fictional character that "Don Lockwood"(Gene Kelly) is playing, is a dancer, and he gets denied a lot at first to get an agent (the big 3 in Korea?) till he finally gets one and has a meteoric rise to fame (like BTS) because (like BTS) all he wants is to perform & he works very hard.

I cried because of that. As much as I love masterpieces and theories, small things like this should also be appreciated. A whole song dedicated towards ARMY. I can really feel the love.
Another take on the simplicity is to make it easier for ALL ARMYs to understand it. Not everyone can decipher a complicated theory like the one in the webtoon, so this was to make it easy to connect with all of us.

Is it just me? I have this video so many times, and every time I do, I end up smiling the whole time. The song has such a cute meaning and really shows to prove how much BTS loves their fans. Listening to your songs has made me smile, but more important, you all have helped me to not feel so alone. They make want to dance, to believe that someone cares, that I can fall in love again... not romantic love, but pure love, like when you see a beautiful happy baby...I used to love everything even breathing clean air...seeing a butterfly, watching the clouds and feeling the ground beneath my bare feet...I admire you 7. The only other meaning I attach to it is the juxtaposition with "Boy In Luv" (or basically "Manly Man" in Korean). There was a girl in that mv too, but the video surrounded some aggressive and hypermasculine way of treating girls that was honestly unpleasant to watch. In BWL instead of acting tough and "strong" they say, "there is nothing stronger than a boy with love" clad in all pink, and the girl in this video is part of the fun in partnership. If the song wasn't officially tied to BIL I might consider this just wishful thinking, but to me this is a big way they've shown their growth as men and people. In any case it's a sweet song and I love the simpler, carefree vibe. As you said it's very fitting

Wow I loved this explanation and also we should emphasize that darker themes are not always superior. Happy and light themes are actually the ones that get people going in real life. BTS's albums are majorly the reflection of their own journey. They already completed the last era by saying they don't care about labels (read: pitch🍴 ) and that they are at a happier place right now. I don't know why people were expecting a dark album in such times coz the whole mood around the release was so happy and lively. I enjoyed the album A LOT because it's not just musically good but also it means something to me.
I don't get it either. BTS even said that before Tear came out was a really rough time for them, but we've heard from members that they've all been so happy and thankful these last several months. This album really reflects that. I don't know what there is to complain about having a love song written for you.
I think that it really shows that you can be happier when things are clearer and simpler.
