The world we got with this pack is dead.. No sims walking around, no children playing in the little parks between lots or anything. They could’ve given us more lot but decided to fill up the world with 3d structures that look better than the actually houses we get
the shell houses are literally just clutter and slow down my game. it’s so annoying and useless. towns like hanford on bagley are cute cuz there aren’t too many shell homes and they’re actually detailed, but dozens of low quality shells literally does nothing for me.
It’s so fun! I have 3 roommates; two girls one guy, all friends. Had both girls get pregnant at the same time with the guy friend, and they’re all raising the kids together. Very entertaining haha
The only issue I have with the pack is that they really locked the key components of the infants into the pack. Milestones, changing tables. It's ridiculous.
And it's so obvious when you think about how toddlers was implemented with everything in their free update 🤷🏾♀️ It's as Kenya said, if they didn't lock infant gameplay to the pack, it would be far more obvious that this is clearly a Game Pack and not an Expansion

I bought the pack full price and i definitely regret it. The gameplay is CUTE and works for the most part but it feels more like a BASE GAME UPDATE rather than an expansion pack! CAS wasn’t anything special but build and buy was nice. The infants are adorable, and children got a lot of new content which is always nice, still waiting for pre teens tho. also… the world sucks. theres absolutely NOTHING to do there and it feels empty. theres barely any sims even walking around , very disappointed. id rate the pack about a 6.5/10
I agree with waiting on a sale because NONE of their games have been worth full price. Ever since I paid that $70 when sims 4 first came out, i never paid full price for a pack since. I got highschool years discounted on a site I'll link if anyone is interested.
Im actually so mad about the baby update. Imagine if they made us pay for the ability to teach toddlers skills, thats what this feels like to me. In the logic of the sims 4, you have to get your toddlers movement skill to level 2 in order for them to climb stairs, but your baby automatically knows how to crawl? The base game update babies are literally still objects, they cant gain skill or be taught basic things that all babies had to be taught in life, all they do is get tired and hungry and use their diaper, which their parents will leave on the floor after theyve changed them. They put so much of the update behind a paywall and i feel like people arent mad enough. Like the pack has such a small amount of CAS and build/buy compared to other expansions, they said it was because its mostly a gameplay pack but that feels like such an excuse when half the gameplay should have been base game from the jump. Shouldve been a game pack if anything and then put all the baby stuff in the update where it belonged
Had a fun glitch today where when my sim adopted her step children (the kids can only have one parent counting dead ones) her and her wife became sisters 🤢. So we've got a new inc*st glitch yay.
Omg, the whale splash pad thing literally has no interactions. Not just for toddlers, there are no interactions for any life stage. It's basically just a fountain. I've learned never to get my hopes up for new packs, but finding out that it does nothing actually got to me. I get that it is big, but let me interact with it, I paid $40!
They didnt even give enough to kids.. where are the after school activities??school overhaul? Sports?? I never played a single sport except in gym class but i know most other kids play sports and they get none. What are they gonna do, a sports pack? And they didnt even give actual art or music classes and that would be so cute since most kids take at least one type of extracurricular growing up. Daycare for infants and toddlers, reading together like in a cute little circle, learning how to swim, an actual dentist career sort of like what they hinted at would have been way cooler than what they gave us
Me and my sister share a joint account and I was flabbergasted at the fact she pre-ordered this pack! Also it’s very crazy the infants came with an update and they literally have nothing if you do not go and get this pack. Like you can’t even put the baby in a baby carrier.
I think the takeaway from this video is "the sims 4 always brings what we expect, but they never even try to surprise us" and I totally agree 100%. All the "big features" they brought were things we were ASKING FOR for almost 10 years at this point and were already in the other games. They didn't try, not even ONCE to bring something new to the table which actually changed the game at it's core. Something that it's almost always expected for other game franchises. For sims 2 it was the age system, lore and the memories. For sims 3 it was the open world and lively neighbourhoods. And for sims 4 it's just... the knockoff version of sims 3 with slightly better graphics (which even that is debatable honestly, the sims 3 graphics with cc are starting to grow on me) and slightly more polished systems for cas and build & buy (which let's be honest, the sims 4 at launch couldn't even hold up that well compared to the other games on those categories other than the drag & pull systems and the roof system, I mean there literally wasn't ANY pools). I can't even count the emotions system cuz it's literally a downgrade, no matter how much they tried to market it at launch, it's still broken and unrealistic as hell. All the upgrades are always just fluff, stuff to keep you distracted to how bad this game is on it's core.
I’ve forgot about the Sims completely. I am doing a trip next week but might look at it when I get back. I just got fed up of having to update ever 5 mins & having the pack-attack
i have the pack & it is so much fun for us family gameplayers. i wouldn’t normally pay full price but it was sooo up my alley, i couldn’t resist- i caved 😭😭 the world is ass….. i wish this was an expansion pack focused solely on gameplay & not give us a new world, similar with seasons. i honestly wasn’t pressed for a new world. they could have used the new world funds on elders! they really give the elders dust 😭

That's how I always treated the Sims4. Give it a month or two after the "paid off" simmers have praised a pack up and watch the regular simmers play it so you can see the truth about it.
Kenya I caved in and bought growing together not even an hour after the release. Now for that I have no right to complain. However I always wait months or a year to buy packs and I just couldn't take it anymore this time😭😂cause they've been taking longer and longer to put these packs on 50% off. As you said high school years still hasn't been 50%. But I haven't bought that either tbh. I did buy my wedding stories for 14.99 and no it still doesn't work but I do use that pack a lot though. I just use a ton of cheats to make it playable and a wedding Literally takes 24 sim hours.

With all the mods in my game, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if my laptop spontaneously combusted into a fireball burning down my whole apartment complex if I tried to install that update. I'm hesitant to try out the infants anytime soon.
Lmao, my family lives in Brindelton Bay and were looking at properties in San Sequoia…I was like nah-they live near the bay on a massive property…they are not moving to that new town. They’re vacationing there and it’s a bit underwhelming. Tartosa is full of water but it’s also pretty as hell with swimmable water-even if that wedding game pack was trash. And custom content has spoiled me so much that I don’t give a good goddamn about CAS.
I have really enjoyed it so far, however the routing is terrible, I’ve never had so many issues with placement of furniture, or multiple interactions in a row specifically with the infants and an adult, it takes hours to get some thing done it’s a nightmare
This is the only pack I've bought at full price. Everything else I waited for a sale and I still didn't buy high school years or wedding stories. I think I jumped the gun cuz I was excited about this pack. I like the gameplay with the infants tho. Just like Kenya, I don't travel much outside of my lot usually but the world is boring and the houses kinda suck. They could've given us so much more as far as the world and older individuals And I'm irritated that all the essential aspects of the infants was behind a paywall. I don't fully regret it cuz I kinda assumed they'd drop the ball somehow, but I bought this pack solely for the infants, milestones, and infant items like changing tables and stuff.

It's like how they ruined weddings by removing base game weddings entirely for full micromanage weddings. It's annoying. I'm most definitely not buying this pack until its 50% off, I recently bought my glitchy wedding stories because I desperately wanted the CAS and the world. I held out for so long and even when it was on sale I pondered on buying it. I don't regret it because I think the world and CAS dresses are worth it, but fuck me it's annoying not having the normal weddings anymore. Like, can I have them be proper goaled events again?! And I want the fucking items after getting gold on the wedding event! UGHHHH

The infants update hype really was a marketing tactic for them. I felt scammed but also wasn’t surprised haha. The infants without the milestones feature are absolutely pointless-they really knew what they were doing :/
There is a glitch with the theater when you place it in another world. When in another world when you tell sims to watch a movie together instead of going in the theater they leave the lots and are greyed out then when the movie is over they return.
Midlife crisis is so annoying because in my experience it can't be dealt with. If my sim requests to paint, and I buy them an easel, they're still in crisis. WHY?!? Like bro get over it

I don't regret it because I think the world and CAS dresses are worth it, but fuck me it's annoying not having the normal weddings anymore.

When playing it, it’s hard to even tell what’s changed in the game. The only thing I’ve seen is people come to stay at your house uninvited.

I don't wanna be that person but it's giving Parenthood refresh. The pack it's self isn't bad but it just doesn't feel like an ep but what really bothered me was how you had no changing tables in base game 💀

Let’s talk about the new life sim game Life By You. I’m excited for the competition EA is about to have. Hopefully this lights a fire up their butts. To only play that game for 20 minutes and get bored is ridiculous to me. Especially me I’m a die hard player since the PS2!!!!
The infants update hype really was a marketing tactic for them. I felt scammed but also wasn’t surprised haha. The infants without the milestones feature are absolutely pointless-they really knew what they were doing :/
There is a glitch with the theater when you place it in another world. When in another world when you tell sims to watch a movie together instead of going in the theater they leave the lots and are greyed out then when the movie is over they return.
This pack and ea messed up my game I damn threw my laptop across the room couldn't play for 3-4 weeks

I started side eyeing EA when they started copying cc creators stuff and putting it in the game. Like I know sims 4 is copyrighted but these cc creator make the game so much better. Hire a few of them.
I picked up Sims 1, 2 & 3 and dropped Sims4. I see no point returning to Sims4 yet.

i refuse to believe that growing together is glitching. it’s the infants. i’m only having problems with them! all the interactions lag, and i can’t cancel interactions or the sim will put the baby down over and over
