- Yateley Sandhurst Carp Lake Social. A tough fishing trip to this famous Hampshire day ticket water. The weed was a massive problem and it was unseasonally cold, despite the difficult conditions I was still able to bank a nice fish despite the numerous weedbeds it found on the way in!.

+Jeff Hurst yes jeff, I was fishing 80-90 yards out in the middle, just on the edge of where it drops into the deep channel that runs down the middle between bailiffs and pegs 13/14. It was pretty weedy out there too but I just fished slow sinkers on top of the green stuff.

yes mat, I like to be comfy 😁 most of the stuff on this channel is filmed over sessions lasting 6 hrs, I don't usually night fish, I only bother doing nights once a year for this social so 48hrs is an eternity to me 😁I actually paid for an extra 24hrs but went home without using it because the fishing was so bad, now that really was a waste of money!.
I hear you mate. I fished Sandhurst with 15 mates for a kind of stag do a few years back. I managed to catch one but most blanked and I didnt warm to the place. Too many anglers/swims and slightly over stocked. It is a money making racket and, sadly, the future of carp fishing. Stock a lake with c4's (4 summers old carp) and within a few years you can charge the earth for day tickets as the fish will be 30lb'ers. Its not quite "pigs in a puddle" but its not far off. As for my comment, do what you like mate, fishing should be about enjoyment. I mustve been in one of my picky moods! Enjoy your fishing mate. ☺
matmc71 no worries mat, sometimes i'm picky myself, 20 years ago i'd have got the rods out first for sure but these days I tend to put me and comfort first, must be my age...lol.
I'm of the same opinion about sandhurst, I've been a few times but i'm not that keen on the place anymore, it wasn't bad when cemex had it but its gone down hill a bit since they sold it. Fortunately, for 2017 we've booked wraysbury 1 instead 😁
