That's exactly the same type of setup my old high school had. They were 9806s with some double and some single projectors. It was a 2903 light plate though, not a strobe. Pretty cool!
Now you have a typical early 1980s Simplex system setup there! Many Simplex systems from that era would have had 2001 panels and the horns/bells/speakers/whatever on 2903 visual plates. Plus, 4251-30 pulls were also rather popular for some reason (especially in schools.)
We have the same alarms at my school except without the amplifier and the horn sound a little bit different and we have the same pull stations with no glass and it's in slow March time just like that
The dual project is the horns I have in my school but no plates and we have a silent night ra 1000 and the panel I don't know but I think it's the simplex 4004 the pull stations are fairday triangle pull and fire-lite bg-12
I was looking for these horns! My school still uses them to this day, right now, 2018.
omg they had these horns at my elementary school - talk about a flashback!!!!

Nice job Destin!
I love the echo the 9806 makes after each pulse!
Agreed
0:44 My school did not have those horns but the coding is the same
What my school had:
Simplex 4051 horns on 2903 lightplates
That is one good sounding horn. Like if you agree

THIS WAS UPLOADED ON MY BDAY!!!
btw i would NOT want this type of alarm in my schools xD
Happy birthday 🎂🎉🎁🎊🎈 and happy birthday 🎈🎁🎊🎉🎂
Oh I have those at my school! But it does a different sound and has no light strobe
This is my favorite alarm because of the sound of it because it sounds cool
You added a 2 projectors with a 9806.Nice :)
Nice Simplex clock you also got!
Yes a lot of them are in E-flat and this one's in G.
its actually F#/Gb
+FireAlarmEnthusiastfromTexas lol
close! but its f#/Gb
Sounds fairly loud, the projectors seem to give an echo
awesome I have some in my local Walmart same brand but bull stations are different and I saw them go off once or twice
Is it weird that I jammed out
I like the sound projector, it makes it look loud
90 BPM March time always sound the best on Mechanical Horn’s :D
quite the system
Haha I remember seeing this on Ebay
I'm interested in fire alarms.
The projector actually seems to make the horn louder!
this is exactly like what the have at my school, except for the strobe plate and 2001
What horn is that? i like how it sounds
It's a 2901-9806 horn
you should do the very same coding and strobe plate. but with a simplex 4050 behind the projecter if you have one.
0:43 LLLLLLOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUDDDDDDD
There's no steady NAC that you could wire the strobe to?
My fire alarm sounds like a fire truck horn continuously going on, it's very loud. The worst possible place to be is in the in the gym!
I've always thought that 2901-9806s looked interesting.
nice vid
that 2901 9806 is very high pitched even for a 9806 most 9806 horns are about an e flat but that one's an f sharp and yes i do have perfect pitch
We have the same alarms at my school except without the amplifier and the horn sound a little bit different and we have the same pull stations with no glass and it's in slow March time just like that
That's actually a 2903-9102.
You are correct. Because if it was a 2903-9101, then the projector wouldn't be able to be screwed on.
Sounds even louder
Bonk bonk bonk bonk bonk bonk bonk bonk bonk
Da light is so bright
xXSadGamingCatXx Sad cat not compared to today's strobes.
we have Wheelock bells in my second grade class
I want one for my car horn
did u do a 98-38 yet?
How did you hook your panel up to the main power
where do you get your panels from? i suspect ebay but shit there is expensive
XDerpingxGruntX you can say that again. I got a System Sensor CHSWL chime / strobe (L series), and it cost around $80!
what is the horn sound
I still don't get how you can afford vintage stuff like that. Most of my alarms are modern
I LIKE THE 4020 BETTER BECAUSE IT IS EASY TO USE WITH A HOME BURGLAR ALARM. IT WALKS YOU THOUGH THE SETUP WITH THE MANUAL AND OSD.
Why are you yelling then?
My school has those without a strobe
LOUD!!! 😱
How loud it that fire alarm
test 2 did not allowed
sounds like old alarm clock
How about there is glass in there
Is that made by simplex?
trosten memes yes, every product in this test was made by simplex in the 80’s
A 9806 On FWR
try doing this sloest to fastest!!!!!!
super cool
My mittle school has These alarms in the Main hall
"mittle school"
it sounds liek the horn is claping
it's a relay.
lol
how old
that is loud
veryloud
ok
Good job for doing this video
will you do that one in code 3 and continuous?
Simplex 2001 panels do not do code 3.
I believe that the panel was sold at the time you made this comment.
They made a aftermarket card that did code 3. Yah I didn't know at the time because I didn't know destin from the forums.
Yah someone made a comment on the forum.
Oh nevermind
Hey
can ya donate ur fire alarms to us pls
LOUD NOISES
A.

What horn is that
That is loud
