Federal ministers Chrystia Freeland (finance), Mary Ng (international trade) and François-Philippe Champagne (industry) take questions from reporters in Halifax as a three-day meeting of the federal cabinet gets underway. The ministers discuss their government’s announcement that it will impose a 100-per-cent tariff on Chinese-made electric vehicles (EVs) and a 25-per-cent tariff on Chinese steel and aluminum.
