This video has some tips for how to apply and get into the JET Programme. I aimed it specifically at South African applicants, but I'm sure everybody can benefit from it. I was on JET from 2022-2023 and I highly recommend the programme to anyone interested in Japan. Thanks for watching!

I’ve been contemplating the JET program for a while now. I’m currently taking the TEFL certification course and I’m also learning Japanese (I know some hiragana, katakana and some simple words & phrases). Your video was very insightful coming from a fellow African.

I think there are actually quite a few people from SA on the program but they just aren't as active on the socials. You really gotta dig to find us 🤣
Can I teach English without a degree and just with a TEFL certificate?
@@infinitedemisefm unfortunately not with the JET programme, but there are other companies who hire teachers with TEFL only. I'm sorry I don't have much information on those though!
