Beautiful job Jamie. I'm going to wait for MkVb or c, but really can't wait to have ago at this kit. By the way I use MRP's primer red for roundels, I agree the marking red doesn't look right.
Dicey business with the masking Jamie, but there is a real chance of cock ups with decals as well especially when weathering, your result however is spectacular and realistic
Turned out nice again - Just kidding that is absolutely beautiful - I don't get the tag "Over Weathered" that is suggested in some dimmer parts of YT that is the absolute dog's danglies and SPOT on. Channeling my inner Tom 😉 - could I request you give us a list of the paints / lacquers / varnishes used at the end of your videos and is MRP just Mr. Paint? You replied to one of my previous comments saying that in most builds you are not 100% satisfied - surely that is a 100%. It gives us mere mortals something to aim for so thank you for doing what you do! Hope the shoulder is feeling better - get that physio done!!!
ACHTUNG - SPITFUER ! Hi Jamie looks an enjoyable build and looking very much a mid early spitfire. I might well have to build one in 48th as i have no mk.1 in my collection . Thanks . Great effort and very entertaining . M
@@thescalemodellingcafehi Jamie i think that's the only way to go as i have an Ed mk.9 and a few 109's built .. need an early 109 too . Eduard dogfight double needed . I'm like you , i really appreciate their outer surface efforts . M
Stunning work Jamie 👏 👌 The markings certainly make a difference, but would make little difference if not for your beautiful weathering. For me, that's what elevates your builds to another level. It's wonderful to watch and also to listen to your commentary. Another fantastic build series mate, thankyou so much. 👍 Can't wait for the next one, as soon as you're fighting fit! 💪 👍 Take care mate, cheers. 👊
Superb. I really like the soft edged camouflage on this Spitfire even though in actuality it should be hard edged. The soft edges give a much more realistic scale look to the model.
Food for thought, for when mine gets to the top of the pile. I'll certainly be revisiting this series of videos. BTW, good to hear your little procedure went well.
Marvellous job, Jamie, I have learnt so much just from this video alone. The small gaps at the horizontal stabilisers root - I probably would have filled those in , in my ignorance. Such a pity this didn’t go up on eBay! 😏 - I do, however, understand… A good amount of dosh for the Whizz Kids 👍🏻
Brilliantly done Jamie. An inspiration. I've just started experimenting with sprayed on markings - when I paint and weather I do it in the order that the layers would be applied in real life, so I'm doing the markings in the way you have in this case. I was struggling to get my head around the markings first approach.
Stunning work as always.... and an enjoyable video, well described and with a perfect backing track
Thanks Jonathan
Great job 👍🏼

Wonderful work

It looks good in the bottle but always seems too "red" on the model unless mixed with Dark Earth.
Beautiful work. I have this kit but my standards are average. I'm a bit of a heritic but I love the Griffon engined Spitfires lacking in 1/32!.
Me too, plenty of those coming to the channel soon!

Excellent work, Jamie. (I will be doing mine as a Pre-war 19 Sqdn. Machine. Not sure why, but I always liked that two bladed propeller.)
Thank Brett, I'm not a fan of the 2-blader to be honest

HI Neil. I could do but it is a to of work compiling a list, I tend to just mention it at the time, or show a screen shot.
Hi jamie, Fantastic work, mate. It looks amazing. I'm glad the operation went ok speedy recovery, buddy. cheers gary 🇬🇧
Thanks Gary

Beautiful work. Really liked your oil weathering and techniques.

Thanks James, it is a shame it didn't go on UA-cam however it was an offer I couldn't refuse
Very cool Jamie - i have to agree painting on the markings looks 100% better than decals, cheers Liam
Thanks Liam

Thanks Phil, once you start spraying you'll struggle to go back to decals!
@@thescalemodellingcafe I should know this, but have you sprayed markings on 1:72?
Fantastic work.
Thanks John
Nice work Jamie. So now having painted the markings on before and after camouflage, does one offer advantages over the other ?
I think doing them before is easier as you're not having to cover the camouflage
Looks cool. 🛩
Thanks mate
ICE job with painting the markings….do you make your own masks? May I ask the model of the masking cutter you use?
I do make my own mate. I use Affinity Designer 2 software and a Silhouette Portrait 3 cutter
Nice build, gone use your guide for my coming builds. What is the exact paint ref for the silver chipping paint you use with the brush ?
