    I'm not a realtor, but I am a Florida native (Tampa, actually) and I've been doing tax deed investing for a few years now, so I'd say you pretty much covered the most important points. I'd add that a quick filter for vacant rural land (in Florida, anyway) is to check the legal description on the property appraiser's website to see if the lot is in a "named subdivision" - if not, then the typical minimum lot size to put a house or mobile home on it is 5ac.

    You mean rent land... Right?
    Don't pay your Land taxes for a few years and you'll see who really owns everything you've worked for your entire life for...
    Hint...
    Its not yours even if you have a Notorized Deed....
    Yup, reality when faced, lets you know you've lived your entire life owned by a Government that would let your babies sleep on the street if you can't afford to PAY YOUR TAXES...
