Very nicely done 👍 Awesome sound quality and you used the same route for great comparison. More people should follow suit in how advertise exhausts...
Thanks! I tried to make the comparison as “real” as possible.
Eargasm 😍
I completely agree!
Sounds great and looks so much better too.
Absolutely! The rear wheel is much more visible
I think I'm buying for my '17 12R
Sound amazing 😮😮
is the SC1-R only for 2017-2021 or can i also do it on 2014 ducati monster 1200 ?
There should be the version for the 2014 MY, I think it's slightly different
That's amazing!!
Yeah, it's a fantastic exhaust!
Sounds AmAzInG!!!
Yep! She does! 😁
@@Axe991 have you had any problems in regards to "false neutrals"? I keep reading and hearing about them.
I’ve had a few during the break-in, but after the first 500 miles they stopped 😊
@@Axe991 Good to know! I'm trying to decide between a 1200 or 1200 s... tough decision
I haven't tried the s version, but I have the Quick Shift on mine. I would love to have the DRL function, but I'm not sure I would do justice to the Ohlins. I find the standard suspension settings quite good. Probably the main difference, for me, would be the lighter wheels
Bel video!
Hey great vid, I just oredered one of these exhausts... did you have to get the ecu flashed or is the bike running fine without it? I'm probably going to want to get it tuned eventually anyway but I was just curious. Thank.
This is the street legal version, so I did not have to flash the ecu (a PCV or similar is better than then flashing). It goes just fine
@@Axe991 Thanks for the info!
Is it just me or does the exhaust encourage you to ride a bit more aggressively? ;) Sounds great! What city is this btw?
It might be, but it also depends on many other factors. It's Rome 😊
Sounds awesome! Is it possible to put db killer in again or does it brake when u remove Welded bolt?
You can put it back whenever you want, the welding is on the outer part, so it doesn’t create any problems
Nice video, good sound quality! altough I would've appreciated a clip with db-killer in, just to hear what it sounds like.
Could it be that the stock exhaust pops more on downshiftings than the sc-project does? And can you maybe share your zoom recording settings with us?
Thanks! I would’ve made the clip with the db killer in but I had removed it before fitting the exhaust to the bike. Maybe in the future I will make one. Initially I also thought that the stock exhaust popped more, but after some tests I now think that it’s just an effect. The stock exhaust has much smaller holes, giving more pressure and a higher pitch to the sound. With this exhaust the pops “get lost” in the normal sound and only the strongest ones are heard (I hope I have been clear).
@@Axe991 how did you manage to remove the db killer? I bought the same sc1-r for my bmw, but with the euro 4 having a non removable db killer and all I'm curious on how you managed to get it out. Great sound btw!
By non removable they mean that there is a small welding point on the screw that holds the dB killer. You just have to apply a bit of force while unscrewing and it breaks (without any damage to the exhaust or the dB killer itself). Then you remove it like a normal one. Mine was quite stuck, so I had to hammer it out from the inside.
@@Axe991 Ahh I see... must have missed the screw. Mine kind of looked like the db-killer was a forged part of the whole muffler design/cast. Will take another look. Thanks for the reply mate!
You are talking about the external one, right? Depending on your configuration you might have also/only an internal one on the link pipe
Hello. Except the fact that it's street legal with the cat, have you compared it to the termi sleep on in term of noise quality and quantity ? Thanks
Hi! I have not compared it with the Termi unfortunately. But recently I have bought a custom made link pipe to remove the cat and it became absolutely deafening
The SC-Project obviously sounds better than the stock, but how much better? The stock sounds so good on these bikes. Hard to justify 1k+ for an aftermaket.
Ducatopia it’s just about the sound. This sc project is lighter than the original and probably gives 10hp+ because it’s less restrictive.
The stock exhaust looks and sounds beautiful, but the SC is better in these aspects. You save around 3 kg of weight and gain just a few HP, not nearly 10. And in Italy it costs €735 with shipping. Cheers!
So this is *with* the cat ? Sounds really really nice. What a nice city to ride in aswell.
Yeah, it’s with cat but without ext. db killer
DB eater???
This exhaust needs remapping?
No, at least on this bike. The stock ECO can manage to remap itself after a couple of runs. If you use the exhaust without catalytic converter and db killers you have to do a procedure at the realer to force the reset (they have to remove some parts of the bike, close something, do reset and revert everything), which is still much cheaper than getting a new ECU and remapping.
Great exhaust! How does it sound with dbkiller?
I have to say that I have no idea, I removed it before fitting it 😬
Is it legal to remove the first baffle? It seems not to loud with the second baffle in it.
No, unfortunately it’s not. But I have to say that it gets some attention like this as well. After it heats up (and in sport mode) it’s quite noisy. In the next videos you’ll see! 😉
Nice sound quality. I've got the H2n too. What are your H2n settings?
Gain 4, no LO CUT, MS recording mode and WAV audio format
@@Axe991 thanks mate!
No problem! 😊
@@Axe991 Can I ask you where is the microphone located? Thank you
I usually use a pouch and keep it behind my back, so it gets less wind and is closer to the exhaust
Hi dude! It's difficult to remove the dbkiller? Thanks!
In mi casa it was quite stuck, so I had to hammer it out using a wooden pole from the other side while the muffler was off the bike
@@Axe991 anche a me!
Per caso hai cambiato anche il filtro?
Hai notato se scalda di più?
A me sembra che scaldi di più sulla sx proprio sotto la sella.....
Is the dB Killer easy to remove?
Yeah, quite easy. There is a simple screw with one point of welding, you just have to use more force to start unscrewing. The problem for me was removing the dB killer itself. It was stuck and I had to remove the exhaust and hammer it out from the inside.
Axe991 but its still possible to get it back in? Dont wanna ruin it for good 😅
Nothing broke or deformed when I got it out, but I never tried to put it back in. I think you can put it back the same way. The only difference would be the welding point on the screw, but it's not a problem, it's there only because of Euro4 regulations.
If I was a woman this would make me take off my underwear.
