Congrats on all the amazing CW era relics. Awesome finds. I remember seeing the preview pics and your home restoration is spot on. Digging in soil that holds that type of history is awesome... Hopefully someday ill get to dig in some history rich soil like that!
Awesome video and finds guys! Fantastic to see Isaac and Britain out digging with you guys!!! AMAZING plate Kurt! I will go check out Brad's channel. HH. Jacob.
Love seeing the finds that you all bring up out the the ground , plus i like the excitement in your all faces . Crazy seeing all the old coins and other stuff , tks for the vids .
That's a great haul Boys. Congrats on that buckle, it's a beauty. Big thumbs up for Brad and Britian on their relics, fantastic finds. Issac was the copper man for the day. History for all.
All star team, all star results! Great plate and Brads Scabbard hanger are awesome, Isaac had some great finds as well as Britain....Thanks for sharing the fun!
Love the videos!!! Thanks for your service in your community, and to the metal detecting community as well. Would you do an episode showing what settings/ program you guys use? Also need a video showing Best Of Year finds for the whole crew. Thanks Again and God Bless.
Ahhhh it's Wednesday - my new favorite day of the week thanks to the Hoover Boys! Congrats on the belt plate Kurt! And great job on the cleaning/preservation - looks awesome!
Congrats on the many firsts dug in this vid! Great US arrow hook style plate you dug, Britains US bit boss made for good surprise and Brads Sword Scabbard top is killer! A lot of coins in super condition and a few odd styled buttons dug! Congrats to all and thanks for sharing.
Just watched this episode again. I had the privilege of that numb, speechless feeling last week! Absolutely was not expecting to dig my first plate that day, especially in MI! Mine turned out to be a cartridge box plate. I can send you some pics if you'd like. Just ordered some renaissance wax. Love the display case. eBay? Thanks again for the awesome vids and for showing how you preserved the find. HH!, Shane
Huge congrats on the Plate!!! This is where I get my displays... it helps to buy a few at a time. Saves on shipping in the long run www.customdisplays.com/
It's holding up great. No regrets. Do a thin coat. See how it looks. Repeat if you want. I've seen people use hairspray for lead/pewter buttons. Same idea. Keeps them from crumbling. Good luck
Diggin' the Mitten - So encouraging to hear that you have found civil war relics in Michigan! Curious what type of area you searched in? Also where are you located? I am in Calhoun County. Would be cool to connect with others in my area and do some detecting.
Just want you to know I've seen every video you've put out which got me in to metal detecting six months ago. In the first six weeks I found a GWI 13 button plus many other great finds. You're videos are fantastic, please keep them coming!
Very nice haul Kurt (et al). That US buckle is the highlight of the video. Nice job on the restoration. We are blessed with our Colonial finds up here in MA but we rarely find one of those...sure would love to find one. Great video as always! -Mr. Digger
Ridiculous Relics!! You guys make it look too easy!! Lol. That Buckle is a 1 in 10 lifetimes find!! Unreal! I would have had a heart attack, no question. Smh. Sick!!
Incredible brother! Gotta love a plate! The feeling of a first plate when you first realize what you've got is priceless! I'll never forget how mine felt! Congrats again! Gotta love that bear claw too! Sorry had to make this comment while in the middle of your vid.. I was to excited for you to wait and comment after I finished! GL and HH!
Great finds..... the young lads had some impressive firsts !!! And your buckle is out standing !!! You did a great job of restoring it and preserving it. You deserve that find for all the hard work you put into videos and editing. Con-grads !!!!
Amazing finds. lol That was a beautiful buckle. I like the way you preserved it. I have yet to find a buckle like that, but then again I need to get out more to find one. lol GL & HH
Huge congrats on the buckle Kurt. Nice job putting it back together. That's an AMAZING find. Amazingly, amazing! Killer US horse bit for DOH and Isaac killed it as well. Great video and great job to all.
Really appreciate the time you guys put into the videos. I am sure that you have heard it before, but we look forward to them each week and they sometimes mean more then you may know. I lost my mom this week and for the short time watching this one (finding CW relics is my all time fav) I got to get away and just enjoy watching you guys. So again I really do mean that I appreciate the videos. I know it just you guys getting out and having fun, but we do appreciate you taking the time to put it all together. Keep it up man! Big Congrats on the Buckle brother, still on my bucket list!!!
Hi Kurt. Great video. I always love it when you travel to meet up with other youtube guys. Britain/Depths of History is one great kid. I'm going to make sure I'm subbed to Issac next. Funny thing... You promoted Brads channel... I subbed him yesterday after PMing with him. lol. Great timing. Congrats on that "awesome" US belt plate and the "awesome" Bear's Claw. ttyl -Drew
Sweet US buckle Kurt, gratz!! Also Kurt, the Ren wax works awesome on brittle pewter and lead items as well and really does not leave anything behind but a nice "glassy" look.
You know Isaac and I cracked up at the last part LOL. That was one memorable dig for sure. I wish my detector wouldn't have crapped out on me but win some loose some! congrats on the buckle man! beautiful ;) piece for the collection! I love my Bitboss. Hahaha! Good! That was for you guys. I had to work it in there somehow. We need more days like this. It was such a blast. Best of luck till we meet again
When my brother and I were 8 and ten we played in a open field in front of our home. Soon the lot was dug to build on. That did not deter us from playing in the dirt. One day we came apon a metal object in the soil. It was a US buckle! High we called an us belt. This was down in Columbia, SC. I believe I still have it somewhere. Love you all! Suzanne
Great hunt with some fantastic finds. Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing. Really like it when young people get excited about finding relics. Too many are not interested in our nation's history. GL&HH I don't know how to get my name in the hat for the 400 but throw my name in if it isn't there already. Thanks.
I'm amazed host much soil must accumulate each year for modern keys and relics to be that deep down. You would think someone would see them mowing the lawn.
Every site is different. I've dug coins from the 1700's an inch deep and clad 10" deep. Sometimes at the same site too. It hard to find old ground that hasn't been altered over the years
Great finds and great hunt! I hope you realize how lucky you are to be in a location like that... I don't even have an opportunity to find most of that stuff in Northern Michigan...
Congrats Kurt on your first US buckle. I feel that gold coin is just around few more dig holes😍 Nice hunt as always, scabbard piece was extremely nice. Old Va just keeps on giving...great dig...

The big block buildings like that are usually military, law enforcement or government buildings. That boss is really high on my list. Great digs and great site !!! I found a Rosie in a CoinStar today :p Subbed to Brad! The full board was and amazing shot. I wish I was an octopus so I could operate 8 detectors at once.. Keep @ it and HH !!
Crazy day! Great hunt. We just don't see that quantity of Civil War relics over here. Going back down where the cut coins were found Saturday, so wish us luck!
it was..... but it's not just this day... u all do a great job... and do me a favor... tell bill to get off of his (not slick like brads) butt and make some finds.... loves his poop eating grin when he does.... best of luck to u guys
Awesome finds boys! The key chain you thought was a bear claw is actually even better, it's a bear tooth! As we live in Alaska, we see them all the time. Killer find!
