Awesome videos, can you share more detail about the boxes? What is the material thickness? Who manufactured them? Did you consider using vhb tape instead of fasteners and welding?
Thanks for the comment and questions! The storage boxes are 1/8" aluminum. We designed them, and had them bent up. The boxes are three piece assemblies with some of the corners welded for rigidity. There are a couple of reasons that we went with fasteners instead of vhb tape. We would like to be able to take them apart again in case we need to access something on the torsion frame for example - it is much easier to simply take the back off of the storage box. Also, if a part of the storage box gets damaged, we can just replace that part rather than the whole thing. Hope that helps!
Good question! I will probably put an intake filter on the inside / see how bad the dust is. This is certainly an experiment, but I really want to see how integrated I can make it instead of the condenser hanging off the back wall. I don't plan to have much else inside that box so if there is a lot of dust it may be ok. The other option is to turn it off when driving in dusty conditions. We'll see!
Wow it’s really coming along! So fun to watch!
Not sure who offers the most humor; Jake or the dog, LoL. Great progress!!

@@disappointmentranch Thank you for the details and explanation. Do you recommend the company that cut them out and bent them?
Yes. It was CoreMark Metals - they did an absolutely wonderful job.
@@disappointmentranch Thank you
Look amazing. What’s the plan for dust with those louvers? Could get pretty bad especially behind that rear wheel?
