'Las Teresitas' beach is located just north of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and is considered the capital's beach.
The light-coloured sand that can be seen actually comes from the Sahara Desert and has covered the original dark sand. At the same time, a breakwater was built to protect it from sea erosion.
