Thank you!Great explanation and very interesting .. I'm looking for a small ish 2 bedroom with up to an acre of land but I'm struggling to find something within my budget of 25 k... but you never know 😊 . Don't mind a renovation project with a good roof😁 .
Thanks for watching Eduard :) We struggled to find stuff that was suitable within our initial budget. If we moved a year or two earlier it may have not been so difficult. There seem to still be plenty of properties out there requiring renovation. So really hope you find something suitable for you! And of course, really admire that you're willing to take on a renovation! :)
@@rootsdownhomestead I'm coming over in 4 week's in the south for a family holiday and I'm intending to hire a car for few days to see as much I can,I might pop over for a coffee and a chat if you don't mind. Thanks 🙏👌🤞👍
@@eduardionescu7307 Ah amazing! That'll be a good idea to look around! Do you have an idea of some locations you're planning to visit? We are in the very northern part of alentejo. One thing we found, is that it's super hard to explore different areas without giving enough time. When househunting we struggled to really see lots of areas so had to try and narrow down our search (by what we most affordable to us). Hope you have a lovely holiday and a chance to look around some areas! :)
@@rootsdownhomestead Yeah I have an Idea where to look as the cheapest area is around Castelo Branco so I'll play by ear. Do you have Instagram or Facebook? It will be a lot easier to get in touch. Thanks for the heads up 🙏👍
@@eduardionescu7307 Yeah i guess that is fair to say, although the prices seemed a lot higher when we moved here from when we were looking online. You can still pick up reasonably priced property in other areas but it takes some real digging! I don't have personal social accounts but you can find us on Instagram instagram.com/quintalifept/ :)
Great video thanks Marc. Great to see a breakdown of the costs and also the sites you used. Sorry to see your flooding btw. Probably the best house buying guide in PT I've seen yet! Cheers from NZ and hope to move over soon :)
Thank you very much Charlotte 😊 good luck with the property search. Loads of beautiful locations in portugal, here in the Sao Mamede natural park is no exception!
Excellent video and tips! I know first hand how important your points are as I lost money on two properties in Portugal. I learned my lesson quickly and your tips will help me not make the same mistakes 3x. Paid for inspection which was poorly done as the person only regurgitated what I already knew, and it turned out the property hadn’t been offered to the neighbors and they ended up buying the property…also paid for a viewing that I felt I was being pressured into to sign a promissory contract but I didn’t have all the information at the time… loss that property as well. Anyway, like I said you’ve presented some excellent tips which will help in my future search. Thank you.
Thanks for watching Penny! Glad some tips were useful. Sorry to hear you had some bad experiences, it does happen and always catches people by surprise. It’s a shame most people you need involved in the buying process aren’t always that trustworthy :( Good luck with the future property search and thanks for supporting the channel :)
