I would love to have a carbon fiber shell for my OP1 8K, it would look very sexy. I know several guys that can do it are modmouze, Flick Shot, and Wang Seven. I just have to wait until any of them release a model for the OP1 8K.
You're in luck. Wlmouse recently announced the Ying, which has the same/similar shape of the op1 while weighing in the low 30 gram range. Although, it's made of forged carbon instead of carbon fiber
I would actually consider buying this if it was full carbon fiber like you said and smaller (mostly shorter). Something like Pulsar X2 Mini shape size. It would also be cool if they included some different dot skate materials in the box as well. PTFE dots, Hardened PTFE dots, and UHMW-PE dot skates for glass pads. Maybe even an included ASUS ROG branded sleeve. That way you can give people stuff that works on glass pads and normal cloth pads. Adding small stuff like that would add to the perceived value a lot. If they did that kind of stuff and maybe refined the bottom portion of the mouse a bit more like the buttons/switches, on-board small lightweight light indicators to see what features you are changing on the mouse, less cheap looking sticker on the bottom of the mouse, and less angular mouse skate design it would look so sick. $250-$300 I could actually see it being a banger of a mouse release with a lot of hype around it. The way it is now, I just don't think it's enough to do much of anything.
Heck yeah. Asus is making some interesting gear lately with the Extreme version of their ROG Azoth keyboard and now this Extreme version of their ROG Harpe Ace mouse. I think the prices are pretty crazy, but then again it's obviously not meant for the average gamer who can't afford it. To me, these seem more like a luxury line of gaming peripherals that have a premium look and feel to them. It's not for everybody, but that's why there are so many options. Love to see innovation in this space, and I'm curious if more big brands will also start to make a high-end line as well.
I think the tactic here is that they are trying to get into the more enthusiast market so that they bring their name up more in buying the normal versions of mice they make. You almost never hear people recommending any thing ASUS ROG related for gaming mice these days. And that's probably why this exists.
I knew you would probably like this mouse lol. Looking at the dimensions, it's even longer than the viper v3 pro. And that mouse was already pretty much as large as I would want to go. I can't imagine an even longer version of that would feel great in the hand for me. But yeah if you like larger mice then this is probably great. I just gotta have that extra finger tip micro adjusting room behind my palm or I get annoyed by the mouse sadly. Looks great though and would love to try it some day
For me, its not that the Harpe Ace is too large, but the back hump is just too long for me. The shape to me feels like if you grabbed a G Pro and was able to stretch it out a few millimeters, you got the Harpe Ace.
looks interesting....but that price is really absurd.......btw for me 47 gr are always too heavy xD....i'll take the g-wolves htr with 25,3 gr of weight lol....and has a less price....asus is crazy with prices lately
Giving the mouse half carbon fibre and then the other half plastic is honestly disappointing. That’s essentially trying to appeal to the whole carbon fibre mice trend - as an attempt to justify the price tag - while giving you only half of the cf material.
I know the ASUS Harpe ACE Extreme could be a great mouse, but I prefer to spend on $100-$150 mouses instead. $250 is so much! Asus is trying to be the Mercedes- Benz of all PC's.
Even if I was a fan of the carbon look, I just cannot see anything about this mouse that justifies the price. That said, I do enjoy a good box and this definitely has that.
No, better yet HELL NO. Asus is not getting my Money for the foreseeable future. They have shitted on consumers for years. they are extremely over priced and do not get me started on the customer service.
@@mikerzisu9508it’s not justifiable. In fact I don’t understand why this community is not coming down as hard on Asus as they are doing against Logitech.
$250 and the entire thing is not carbon fibre? What a joke, they are basically charging you $150 for a tiny piece of carbon fibre and fancy case. If your going to do carbon just go all out and do the entire thing.
Full armory crate will be coming in a future update.
new steelseries keyboard review???
we need it!😂

Oh, I see that Nuphy Air 60HE on the desk. Looking forward to that review.

The ROG Harpe is $70 on Amazon now. Is that basically the same mouse minus the case and carbon fiber?

There's so many great mouses under $120. Asus is smoking some cow shit
Really great review
How does it compare to the shape and feel of the original harpe ace mouse?

How’s the NuPhy Air 60 HE?
Dude, if Im reviewing a Coffee Machine but I dont really take any coffee would you trust me on that?
short answer, no, long answer, this makes finalmouse look reasonable.
Im pretty sure this will drop to 175$ soon
All these new mice are all nice but the price is just too nice for a normal consumer
For a carbon fiber shell, plastic on the sides is unacceptable 😂 I know indie companies can make full carbon fiber shell mice for less than Asus.
looks interesting....but that price is really absurd.......btw for me 47 gr are always too heavy xD....i'll take the g-wolves htr with 25,3 gr of weight lol....and has a less price....asus is crazy with prices lately
Short answer, No. No mouse is worth more than $150/160, you can get the same thing or even more for a lot less money.
Please show the imperial measurements.. 95% of the planet uses that system 😬

I just paid $300 for Blackwidow V4 PRO. Now $250 for this. Only thing that sux, is I have to pay for mine.

No way am I paying $250 for a mouse. Been loving Asus products for 20+ years but this is ridiculous.
Pssst...
Get the 🐍 v3 pro instead.
$250 mouse comes with case but $800 handheld PC doesn’t….. make it make sense Asus
The mouse 👍, the price💀
I bought this mouse and fully regretted it. Felt like arse and the sensor sucked.

ROG can't make a decent mouse to save the life still, I see. One day... One day.
Asus making another nice product only to use that garbage known as Armory Crate.

no piece of plastic is worth 250$
true, thats why its carbon fiber
but its carbon fiber
Asus ROG Logo costs $100 more plus useless items in the box.
The main point of pressure in a mouse, the thumb rest, is plastic NOT carbon fiber on this moise
$363 Australian dollars, just no! lol.
