I normally don’t use tutorial videos for my builds, but this build is straight heat 🔥 I knew this had to be my survival base as soon as I saw this video. This is without a doubt the best Japanese temple design ever

ive decided to build with calcite and diorite but i was wondering what to use instead of the smooth snadstone stairs because u cant craft calcite stairs
You are absolutely right! In fact, you simply replace the stairs with whole calcite and diorite blocks. I only used them anyway to slope the windows in the walls, but it also works with normal blocks without looking less good!
I made the tree with a plugin called "WorldEdit" ... so the way I made them is not possible in minecraft survival😅 - Of course you could build the tree block by block, but this would be very time-consuming
if you want the version with a deepslate roof instead of the acaia and jungle, you have to replace all acacia slabs & planks with deepslate tiles and all jungle slabs & planks with polished deepslate. But you still need all the jungle stairs, because there are not for the roof, there are for the building details
@@ethelevanak on the front entrance make the stone floor 2 instead of 3 but on the other side of the build, will be 4 but I'm pretty sure that's how you fix

If you want to replace the acacia roof, you can just switch all acacia planks with the new material blocks and all acacia slabs with the new material slabs

@@aznazz you can still use acacia trapdoors but if you want something less conspicuous oak trapdoors are also a good idea. And I forgot to say this in the tutorial, the smooth sandstone gonna be replaced with calcite blocks and since Minecraft has no calcite stairs to replace the smooth sandstone stairs you can replace these stairs with normal calcite blocks (it will look nearly the same since the stairs are only used for a few window details but they look also great with complete blocks instead of stairs

Pretty good guide for creative. I would say that for survival a great many of these blocks could be removed as they aren’t visible from any angle. So if you go straight for the materials list you are going to be collecting hundreds of blocks you could just straight up remove entirely.

@@anakinlsz yes, I tried it out in creative mode with worldedit a few minutes ago: I would recommend to replace the acacia planks and slabs with deepslate tiles and deepslate tile slabs and replace the jungle planks and stairs from the roof with polished deepslate. and the roof outline with dark oak slabs can be the same as I show in the video. Keep in mind, that not all jungle stairs and planks from the material list used for the roof, so you still need many of them as well, but all acaica planks and slabs from the material list can be replaced with deepslate tiles One last thing I recommend: replace the acacia trapdoors (used for the windows) with oak trapdoors, since you don´t have a orange looking roof and the acacia trapdoors could stand out too much

Good point! Since the stairs are only used for the inside on some windows, I would replace them with regular blocks. It shouldn't make much difference

Haha yes that's true! The stairs for the windows is not a really necessary detail, just replace the few stairs with complete calcite blocks
