Greco is the epitome of what it is to be an artist. This piece was incredibly refreshing, eerie, and something the skateboarding community lacks. Wish it was an hour
Exactly. Skateboarding is a form of art, expressing yourself. You don't need a million tricks to leave someone in awe. Just those shots of him skating in the apartment was far more visually pleasing than someone getting down on El Toro.

I just can't get past that slam. I've seen so many bad ones over the years and this one's gotta be top ten. I just love how the whole thing was filmed. How the slam became part of the aesthetic
One of the absolute best skate films to come out this year, not necessarily all about the technical skating but more the composition of the film. (The skating isn't half bad either) Jim Greco once again shows why skateboarding is an art form. 10/10.
I don’t think anyone has commented this yet but; the film playing on the tv in Jim’s apartment is The Deer Hunter, a great film which was John Cazale’s last film & also stars Robert DeNiro & Christopher Walken. I highly recommend it if you’re a film buff
love the Scorsese steez, it’s like Travis Bickle quit driving taxis & moved to LA to pursue the dream of becoming a pro skateboarder. Respect to Jim & the crew, great piece.
I don't know about you guys but all I thought about the entire film was that brutal slam at the beginning. Maybe it was the slow mo, I dunno but when he hit the curb I felt pain myself just watching.
@asdfgh Take your ignorance somewhere else. Same goes to other moronic trolls in the comments, who antagonize certain iconic skaters; who’ve been through a lot, in their careers.
@@Hoodinator17 I don't think he would give 2 shits about staying relevant. He's all about skating for fulfillment and joy. Watch his interviews and it'll become clear.
I've been watching Greco the last 18 years and gotta say he's an inspiration. The cat does what he wants and has style for days on and off the wheels. Love the filming style and music. Couldn't look away during the video. It doesnt hurt to smile Jim, but it don't really help either.
Jim Greco is insane, nearly destroying his body so you know when hes older itll DEFINITELY catch up to him, would be incredible if it didnt. One day we're all gonna look back at this and know damn well this wild ass fellow was killing shit. RESPECT and LOVE, to Mr. Greco......there's no way he'd be doing what he's doing now, if he kept using....everybody can't be Johnny Thunders and rock n roll till the wheels fall off the car......Amazing, how mature and dedicated, he WAS/IS.....even if he were to fall off the wagon, I'd still Respect him, I had gangs of friends, from many different Orange/LA/Riverside/San Bernadino/San Diego County Cities, and Today, I have only 4 or 5 that are still Alive.....every day/hour/minute/second is a GIFT......I think JG is a Skate-Deity.....but, without Will Power and the awareness/Maturity of knowing when Too Much of a good thing, becomes a bad thing, that eventually will take everything from you, including your LIFE, and maybe, OTHER's if your not lucky enough.....like, the "DEER HUNTER" movie being watched by the Female.....very Classy

So cool see Penny and greco skating together after all this time. This film is the best.
This video reminds me of how much i hate my job and how good this guy is.
“You are beautiful and you are alone” 🤘😔🤘 amazing film enjoyed every moment of it. Keep on skating my beautiful people
Oddly sad, inspirational, and beautiful. Great piece of art
The title, the content, the music, the style, the clothing - reminds me of „permanent vacation“
It is a complete and total lie to say that I like this small film piece of art. I love, love this little film.
I've never skated in my life, but now I feel as though I should. Beautifully put together
don't do this then, mate.
You should
Classic jimmy Greco style of filming. This guy is like The Prince of skateboarding!!!! Hammers for days too
asdfgh So it’s better to just not do anything? Get busy living or get busy dying man. Greco seems to have made his choice.
@@Hoodinator17 at least change up your comment if you're gonna say the same thing over and over again dude
asdfgh wow I keep seeing your comments and replies saying the same shit, desperately trying to make your points known. Gtfo with your troll account
asdfgh dawg shut up
asdfgh the struggle for relevance featuring edgy comments and an social isolated loser
Watching this on my lunch break. The irony doesn't escape me.
I really did not expect this beautiful piece of art. I miss skating so much.
Greco is one of the most interesting individuals. Brilliant work.
Even pros dream of skating with Tom Penny...
I'm not a skater but this is just an awesome cinematography. I felt I was there with all that freedom and struggle.
By far one of the greatest skate films ever made. True. Authentic. Inspirational, Skateboarding masterpiece.
I don’t think anyone has commented this yet but; the film playing on the tv in Jim’s apartment is The Deer Hunter, a great film which was John Cazale’s last film & also stars Robert DeNiro & Christopher Walken. I highly recommend it if you’re a film buff
He's a real legend.. Too bad not every one sees it how gnarly he is
800000 people is alot 😂
The part he skates while the train passes behind him was beautiful
this is why jim as always been one of my fave skater. i met him at a demo one time and hes just a UNIQUE real one of a kind of a dude.
This is the kind of film I can watch over and over. It's art.
I mean I know it’s supposed to be, but this was fucking beautiful.
weerrd!
The hospital area looks like the hq in gtaV
Haha i was thinking the same thing
you know gta V is based on LA
BlownFuse i swear people don’t this....
Greco Will go down as a legend in my book
Why is everything Greco does so cool.
Not much to love in the world of skateboarding today but this. Thank you, Jim.
love the Scorsese steez, it’s like Travis Bickle quit driving taxis & moved to LA to pursue the dream of becoming a pro skateboarder. Respect to Jim & the crew, great piece.
hahaha great comment
I skated with Jim and Donny Barley a few times back in the 90s at B17 in New Haven
I feel like your keyboard died in the middle of a cool story
I don't know about you guys but all I thought about the entire film was that brutal slam at the beginning. Maybe it was the slow mo, I dunno but when he hit the curb I felt pain myself just watching.
George F for real, had to grab my back afterwards lol
One of the best films I've seen in a long time. I remember being from RI and Greco and Barley were my idols, CT strong!
Greco is one of my all time favorite skaters. i love the way this was filmed too, the quality and shit. reminds me of a late 80s early 90s movie.
It's just so artistically pleasing. Masterpiece!
Definitely enjoyed this one! Really inspiring, makes me want to go skate and film a movie myself.
@asdfgh
Take your ignorance somewhere else.
Same goes to other moronic trolls in the comments, who antagonize certain iconic skaters; who’ve been through a lot, in their careers.
asdfgh he isn't doing this for you anyway. These are passion projects. Thankfully we get to enjoy them
@@Hoodinator17 I don't think he would give 2 shits about staying relevant. He's all about skating for fulfillment and joy. Watch his interviews and it'll become clear.
asdfgh "well that's like your opinion man".. I saw the little plug there but it was tasteful. But to each his own
I've been watching Greco the last 18 years and gotta say he's an inspiration. The cat does what he wants and has style for days on and off the wheels. Love the filming style and music. Couldn't look away during the video. It doesnt hurt to smile Jim, but it don't really help either.
Love this piece of art. Thank you Mr Greco and Supra for bringing this original style to the world of skateboarding.
This is one of the most beautiful segments I've ever seen.
this is like watching early jim jarmush flicks...i love it
I’ve waited 4 days for this
Golfwang_zion were you pleased with it?
Wife A TRON of course it was fucking awesome
asdfgh Why don't you fuck off dork
we used to have to wait years
asdfgh Shut the fuck up it seems like you're trying to stay relevant in this comment thread
Jim Greco is insane, nearly destroying his body so you know when hes older itll DEFINITELY catch up to him, would be incredible if it didnt. One day we're all gonna look back at this and know damn well this wild ass fellow was killing shit.
Edit: this guy is old enough to be my dad, my own dad can’t even push himself like this 😂 incredible
5:34 thank you for being polite to that lady, a lot of skaters these days throw hate towards anyone and everyone that’s gets in the way of or doesn’t understand skateboarding, we all share this earth.
Talented genius in both filmmaking and skateboarding, Greco's films always makes it itch to go skate
This film is so beautiful
Amazing film... im in love...Nice photography
Thanks for putting out refreshing content Jim, a true portrait of life and skateboarding...
this was beautiful. like a classic movie from a time when the life used to be easy.
