Thanks for the Dreamcatcher reaction! It's my hope that as they get older that they slowly transition to more of a vocal centric group. Their concerts are already around 40% choreo and 60% vocal focused songs. They've got the talent for it and they're constantly putting in work to improve. It would allow them to do what they love longer without putting their joints at risk.
I get this! I think there are lots of idols who have long, successful careers doing choreography too (and professional dancers, etc.). I love that they CAN do both, so they do. But I also love that if they choose to dance less as they get older, they will still be just as engaging & dynamic on stage 💚
They're coming to Seattle in November and I am SOOOO excited to see them again live! From when they were Minx to now as Dreamcatcher...it's amazing how far they have come!
They have shared the stage with may generations of idols , as new 5th generation idols enter the stage in the next few years , the Dreamcatcher will Remain , no good byes , just a Endless Journey . " She is and They are the first and always" , Legendary Dreamcatcher
I waa waiiittiinnggg to hear you attempt that note or acknowledge it at least ugh so good 🗡🐲 (that means slay i just made it up lol slaying the dragon)
I just watched this on a Twitch stream this weekend!!!! The replay is on Patreon, but I won't be putting that reaction on UA-cam unfortunately. It was sooooo good, though - their vocals give me goosebumps every time! 😍
Thanks so much! You know how much I enjoy discovering more music & performances from Dreamcatcher and how much I admire their talent, across the board. Thanks for supporting my Dreamcatcher reactions (and even recommending great videos for me)!!! 💚
Yes pls, react to Dreamcatchers new album VirtuouS, 2 Rings (Sowcase ver.), Its Live JUSTICE Band LIVE Concert its amazing. Thank you for the Deukae reaction!
my bias line in dreamcatcher is a lot cause i bias 4 of the 7 members and the others just wreck me left and right my 4 biases are gahyeon, sua, handong and yoohyun
This is relatable! Initially, it was Siyeon for me. Then after BONVOYAGE, it was Siyeon & Yoohyun. Then with OOTD, I added Sua. Now with JUSTICE, I feel like it's also Dami. But Handong & Gahyeon also ate this up. Haha. Like, I can't stop!!! They're all so good!!!
@@KPopwithKhadija yeah I‘m a gahyeon bias since i became an insonmia with boca sua and handong became a bias in maison and yoohyun when i saw them in concert this past february
@3:15 They did completely fine covering Siyeon with Handong & SuA. You should check it out. SuA "the dancer" literally unofficially can sing with the highest note, second by Dami "the main rapper." DC = 7 main vocalists and no other groups can come close to that and I'm not bias!
Depends imo. They can cover for her for a while like they did for the promotions but kfans who attended could already tell Sua was starting to feel the weight of Siyeon's notes. Hitting high notes isnt as easy as it seems, Sua has the range but not the training and she has already developed nodules in the past. Even Yoohyeon would complain about a tired throat once they started performing reason regularly and you can hear Sua starting to struggle by the end of the promotions. And that isn't even taking into account that all of Siyeon's parts will have to be redistributed amongst the members for the upcoming taiwan concert and possibly other concerts after till she returns. And Siyeon has a massive chunk of power vocals and high notes which wll undoubtedly take a toll on the members. While I do agree that DC is a strong group even without Siyeon removing Siyeon from the roster is on par with removing Dami, it will massively impact the quality and sound as well as take a toll on the members long term.
Yes, our wolfie Siyeon is currently taking the time she needs, and that is perfectly fine. SuA and Handong stepped in for her in the music shows, and they did a great job! Siyeon will be back stronger than ever! Justice is part two of a two-part series, the first one is OOTD, which intentionally sounds very differently. Just like ymenehcra for OOTD, an account named 9mynameis1 has been posting messages before the comeback. She posted that her seven friends became obsessed with the crown and have not been responding anymore, which corresponds with the secret diary Siyeon (our powerhouse main vocal, also known as Wolfie) is reading. The text there reads "How are you? I'm worried because you aren't replying." So what we are seeing here is the seven friends (Dreamcatcher) getting rid of their obsession with the crown (materialism, narcicism) by literally destroying it, which makes their friend rejoin them (there is an eighth person joining them near the end). There is also a lot of imagery about death and legendary figures like Valkyries or greek goddesses and legends. Reddit user PaintMeYaBasic has managed to identify these paintings in the MV: Hero by Edward Burne-Jones (from the tale of Hero and Leander), Valkyrie and a Dying Hero by Hans Makart, Hero and Leander by Salvator Rosa and finally "Justice" by Kenyon Cox in the center back. In the tale of Hero and Leander from Greek mythology, Hero is actually a priestess of Aphrodite (Venus in the Roman myths), so that is not the same as the hero who is taken from the battlefield by a Valkyrie in the other painting. But OOTD has the line "I'm Venus, Nephthys, call me a Goddess". It is likely there is a connection. While OOTD was about falling for the temptations of modern life and a satire on narcicism (especially influencers and fast fashion), I believe Justice is telling us to fight those temptations for a better world. It is a call to become a warrior for good in the world and fight the materialism that seems to be the most important thing for many people in the developed countries. You can see JiU break the bonds that hold her down, and we should do the same. Please note that this is just my interpretation. Art can be interpreted in different ways, and other opinions are just as valid as mine. There are also many references to their older MVs in this. The paintings also have a deeper meaning in Chase me, there is a sword in Deja Vu and Scream, the bite into the apple is a callback to BEcause and the tree to the Dystopia trilogy - and so on. There are many more. The 8th figure in the end could also be JiU from Deja Vu, finally breaking the cycle of violence and leading to justice. Musically, I love the song. The guitars in the pre-chorus and chorus are pure heaven (just like Dongie with her wings). It has the right amount of heaviness for me, and it is an anthem and a call to action. I also love that they shortened the pre-chorus by two bars in the second half, throwing us into the chorus early. Justice is a brilliant, epic release, showing everyone that a group can still produce fantastic music and MVs after seven and a half years. I can't help it, I deeply respect these ladies and their whole team.
Ooh, this is a great interpretation! Thanks so much for sharing. I'm gonna re-watch both of these MVs now, with this in mind, and see if I can pick up on all these themes! 💚I already LOVE the music - totally anthemic call to action, you described it perfectly!
Hey, I am not sure if you have already reacted to Kiss of Life's two new releases from earlier this month "Sticky" and "Te Quiero" yet, but just wanted to mention them just in case. Also a new group that I recently discovered, called Badvillain, which debuted about a month ago, a seven-member girl group and they are very different. There are a few songs they have released with music videos, "Badvillain" (it's self-titled), "Baditude", and "Hurricane"!
