"E to shoot lasers" was my favorite bit of the tutorial. It's perfect for getting you 1000% into the life and acrobatics of a cute little spider, then BOOM! Lazers.
Oh this is *fantastic!* The webswinging physics looks fun, the little insect bois are adorable, and the bizarre, slightly outrageous world of Laser-eye spiders and Mech-ants is amazing!
Given how Jeff was flaring his arms and his colorful bits during the dance I'm like 80% sure he was bringing you back to his web to dick you down, then again spiders can shoot lasers in this world so maybe the dances are more casual.
I fell in love with Portia after watching an Attenborough BBC doc years ago. I think I remember him saying something like "The most impressive hunters I've seen barring the big cats." They're the cleverest and cutest little critters in the world. I recently read Adrian Tchaikovsky's _Children Of Time_ and my love was cemented and shared. fun fact the spiders here are two peacock spiders the one you play is a female and the male is the really colourful one! also that little dance at the start is something they do in real life and they are tiny little jumping spiders native here in Australia they are also completely harmless.

This might be a bit surprising but spiders can actually fly, they string their webs out and utilize electricity to float around in the wind. Usually before storms.
Fun fact, the spider we play as is a certain jumping spider, the males have bright bodys to attract females, so we are a female spider, aswell almost all the ants you see are actually female. Its quite interesting

Yo Tom, you should definitely try out Tales of Maj'Eyal! It's pretty cheap on steam, and it could be a great longer form series or just fun roguelike thing! It's pretty wild.
